Tell me about your AU do it do it now

Alright, we’re doing this now from the START—mandatory info first like kingdom names and families so you know what I’m getting at. This is also gonna be very jumbled because I don’t know how long or short I want this to be and as much as I love talking about my AUS i get nervous people are gonna take my ideas so like sorry if this isn’t Fully in depth with quotes and shit. Letting you know that while Flare and Crater is goldenboys centric, I am a c!Purpled centric goldenboys fan

ALSO DO NOTTT READ THIS IF YOU DON’T WANT MY AU SPOILED. AT ALL. I PLAN TO WRITE THIS INTO A FIC

Velaron // Craft family: Tommy, Wilbur, Phil, Kristin

Elowynne // Wars family: Purpled, Boomer, Hannah, Punz, Joel, Lizzie (Hermitcraft mention.)

So clearly, this AU has become much more than JUST a goldenboys AU. Flare and Crater was and is still a goldenboys centric fic idea (with more attention to Purpled), but the universe itself has practically fleshed itself out before my eyes, haha : ) I’m gonna explain the entire universe as I have it right now, but will try and keep the focus on Goldenboys just because. Also gonna just mainly talk about the first three families at first.

In the beginning it’s Phil and Techno as friends, but I don’t know what their status is regarding mortality. Phil is a crow avian, and Techno is a piglin hybrid. Yes I know this AU doesn’t take place IN minecraft, no I do not care.

Just to keep it short, Phil is a king, Techno is a knight and basically his right hand man, a war is fought and Techno commits some not so legal war acts so he. Exiles himself so Phil doesn’t have to! He ventures far out to a place he can’t be easily located, and only semi frequently keeps in touch for safety reasons. Phil says he could use his power to pardon what Techno did, but Techno doesn’t want to have Phil wrapped up in scandal. So, he stays away.

Maybe a couple years later(?) Phil meets Kristin and eventually marries her, which makes her Queen of Velaron. What Phil is Not made aware of is that Kristin is a Goddess of Death ! Phil isn’t in any danger though, so she doesn’t say anything. Becoming pregnant with their first son, Wilbur, is when concerns are raised in her brain. She expresses “anxieties” about something being wrong with Wilbur when he’s born, because she’s worried bad things about her were passed down to Wilbur. But nothing is visibly wrong; Wilbur is born perfectly fine, and he has some white feathers. (Swan avian?? I’m not fully set on that yet but I wanna keep it as a swan. If it isn’t clear idgaf about passing down traits, I mostly care about symbolism and/or looks.) Wilbur Soot Craft is the first born.

A couple years pass, and while Kristin is still meaning to tell Phil the truth, she just can’t find the words. Eventually, she’s pregnant again with Thomas (Tommy). With Wilbur being born fine, her worries are settled this time around, but only slightly. Techno is communicating a little with the family during this period, and after hearing that Kristin is pregnant, Phil offers him the opportunity of giving their second son Thomas a middle name. He chooses Theseus. Thomas Theseus Craft is his chosen name.

When Tommy is born into the world, Kristin is immediately filled with panic. On the crown of his head there are little points, and she is immediately certain that they are horns. Amongst the wisps of blonde curls are red streaks. Tommy has presented as a Finch Avian—specifically a House Finch avian (still wondering if I wanna make shit up and say it’s a symbolism of a bad omen. idk his avian type might change but WHATEVER). Phil is obviously rather confused, but he tries to not bring it up since Kristin is in a physically and mentally vulnerable state. It does worry him, though.

Kristin is then plagued with worry that she’s brought a curse upon Phil’s bloodline and is putting Tommy in danger by staying, so when he’s about a year old, she seems to disappear without a trace. Phil is obviously distraught by this, but he knows he needs to stay strong for Wilbur and Tommy’s sake. Kristin’s disappearance causes a scandal and brings him intense grief. And as Tommy grows up, his horns grown some more. He uses the red tufts of his hair to hide them. Phil tries to keep Tommy’s secret on the down low, since in this AU a lot of people are driven by superstition or religion.

Lizzie and Joel (this is my personal headcanon leave me alone) are the King and Queen of the longstanding kingdom Elowynne. They’ve had a high influence, and are very respected as monarchs. The Wars family is made up of moth hybrids. Lizzie is a Pink Silk moth and Joel is a Pacific Green Sphinx moth. They have a very healthy relationship with each other, and with the people of Elowynne. At the beginning of this story, they are under their own control.

Honestly? Least complicated family at FIRST.

Punz Hermae Wars is their first born, and he is a spongy moth! He is first in line for the throne, and they have a lot of expectations for the future ahead of him.

Not so far down the line, Lizzie and Joel then have two more children! Fraternal twins, which they name Hannah and Boomer. (Giggling because all the boy sons of this family have fuckass names and then HANNAH <3)

Hannah Rhodon Wars—who I chose to be an Elephant Hawk moth—is the twin that comes first. She’s the only daughter in the family, and she is Lizzie and Joel’s pride and joy. She definitely steps outside of the norms for what a princess is, and her parents allow it. Growing up she harvests some jealousy that Punz is the one that is first in line for throne, but never brings it up as to keep the peace.

The twin that comes second, Boomer Lucus Wars, presents as a Pale Beauty moth. Out of all of the children that Lizzie and Joel have, he is definitely the most chaotic, and often challenged royal norms, which Lizzie and Joel never minded. He’s often found out and about the castle grounds, and had an obsessions for wildlife.

Finally, comes Lizzie and Joel’s last child, Purpled Íkaros Wars. He has the patterns of a Luna Moth. Purpled is easily the quietest and most reserved growing up in the family, but he is still cherished and adored. He is often found doing his own thing on his own accord, and if he isn’t alone, he’s most likely hanging out with his parents. He loves them both equally, but he’s certainly a mama’s boy. And Joel is happy to see his youngest son be close with Lizzie. We love Joel, guys!!

I’m gonna be honest despite how little there is to know about Scutum, they’re still important. Scutum is also latin for shield and yes I picked this name based off a constellation but shhh…

Schlatt Tántalos Score is the oldest son. I don’t know what much there is to say about him besides he’s first in line for throne and is a ram hybrid like Always . never changes! He lowkey has a tragic life but I’ll get into that. I will

Tubbo Perseús Score is the second and final son, and he is a goat (goat and ram brothers is that fine??). During childbirth, Schlatt and Tubbo’s mom passed away, leaving the two without a mother and only a father. And if I said this is lowkey a family curse then what. THEN WHAT. Yeah having a maternal figure would’ve saved them but no. They don’t have one! Tubbo constantly admires other people in his childhood, like knights and common folk. He knows he is privileged, but sometimes wishes he could have a normal life somewhere far away.

Okay I don’t wanna spoil the beginning (but i’m fine with spoiling the entire fucking plot? and the end??) but basically the story starts with a few paragraphs that are not from the beginning. If that’s confusing I am SORRY i don’t know how to explain </3

story opens and It’s pre established that Tommy, Tubbo, and Purpled are childhood friends since they are all of royal status and their kingdoms currently get along, so they hang out frequently, usually at Velaron since it’s in the middle of the two and therefore the closest trips for Tubbo and Purpled. Also not to get too angsty too fast but Tubbo and Schlatt’s dad has recently passed away by this point and since their kingdom’s traditions are different compared to most, Schlatt is now king of Scutum at 14 years old with barely any help. Tubbo doesn’t fully grasp the concept of death since he’s only 10 and hasn’t experienced loss, but he knows that it’s just him and Schlatt now and tbh he’s lowkey pushing down the trauma for now by playing with his friends .

If you don’t fw schlattbur then I’m letting you know now there is schlattbur but like i’m not gonna lie to you and say they make it because they DON’T, they’re doomed but like they’re young and in love for now and putting off the task of having to face reality. Homophobia isn’t normalized/doesn’t exist in this universe but scandals and rumors DO, and it’d be lowkey bad if it were to be found out that Schlatt and Wilbur were more than friends by association.

Lizzie and Joel are typically first to come by to pick up Purpled from hang outs, so by the end it’s usually just Tommy and Tubbo but by this time it’s just Schlatt being the one to pick up Tubbo but he’s busy as FUCK so Tubbo’s there for a while sometimes but even when Schlatt does get there on time he and Wilbur fuck off to go be gay for a bit and like 9 times out of 10 Tommy obliviously walks in on them to ask if he and Tubbo can go visit Techno and Wilbur who is too busy being gay just always tells him yes but to just take one of the knights with them which is typically Sam!

So yeah it’s also established that Tommy and Tubbo visit Techno a LOT just for fun . mf is exiled but they dgaf I fear. All they know is that he’s Phil’s long time friend so they like him. Techno’s kind of an advice giver but he sometimes treats Tommy and Tubbo to be older than they actually are and just casually talks about topics like the fucking war he was in LMFAO..

During the times that Purpled is the one staying later than Tubbo, he and Tommy usually sit outside near the body of water and talk about random things. Purpled can’t swim and has a fear of water, so he sits by the shore while Tommy wades around and yaps about whatever. Punz and Wilbur lowkey have beef but it’s not even for a fucking reason, they just dislike each other. Wilbur ALSO has random beef with Dream from Primara. Teenage boys and their fuckass drama

Timeskip because like I don’t know what to do here I’m still filling in gaps

When Purpled is about 13, Hannah and Boomer are 15, and Punz is 16, Lizzie and Joel FUCKING PASS AWAY . YEAH. SORRY. IDK HOW YET BUT THEY JUST DO

This is Purpled’s first experience with loss, so he’s obviously very distressed when dealing with their deaths, especially his mom’s. He looks in the mirror and can only see her. Shit REALLY hits the fan after their death. Purpled starts writing letters of grief to Tommy because he doesn’t know what to do and he knows Tommy is the one who faces emotions head on more often, so he turns to him for advice.

Punz becomes King of Elowynne, and it’s somewhat of a dark time. He has people that are tasked to help him navigate his duties as a monarch at such a young age, but he frequently tries to do things on his own.

Gonna take a quick turn to look at Primara real quick, because this is an important part to the story. Primara is more of an empire than a monarchy, because this universe dabbles in PUPPET MONARCHY. Foolish is in line for the throne but obviously he’s nervous because this is a huge seat to fill and he doesn’t align with the ideals of a puppet monarchy/emperor role, but he rarely voices his concerns and hesitance.

Zarafeth is ran by Eret, who is like FRESHLY 18 fucking years old. He publicly opposes the empire of Primara, saying that no kingdoms should be under larger ruling. I should also mention that Foolish and Eret have a bit of a secret thing right now but have to keep it under wraps because of shit like that LMAO

Dream, who is way bolder and really dislikes Eret, manages to overthrow Eret so he can put his best friend GEORGE in his place and bring Zarafeth under ruling of the empire/puppet monarchy. Not only does he overthrow Eret, but he plans to have him executed. Foolish is NOT fucking having this so he frees Eret from captivity and then fucking runs away with them, abdicating himself from the throne and causing a huge fucking scandal. And now Dream is left first in line for the throne. Foolish ily but you didn’t think about That consequence did you ..

OKAY back to Elowynne, Dream sees this opportunity and the weakness since Punz is a fresh king and still grieving, so he swoops in and befriends him and attempts to reel him into the puppet monarchy. And you’re wondering hey aureumms how could Punz fall for this?? I’ll tell you why it’s because Dream is a conniving manipulative guy and he’s also a gayass motherfucker SO he forms a secret relationship with Punz and Punz becomes obsessed as fuck I’m not kidding. It’s canon DSMP all over again /j But like in all seriousness, Dream takes the proper amount of time and patience to get Punz wrapped around his finger. Like a year or two.

Boomer is first to find out about this and he is NOT happy and it results in little arguments until there’s a huge one, ending in Boomer disowning himself from the family and running away at the age of 16. Purpled and Hannah are devastated by this but Punz only sees this as weakness. Boomer still visits throughout the story to see Purpled and Hannah, though.

Okay, we’ll take a break for a minute to mention that Elowynne constantly hosts balls! For dancing! If you’re wondering if I did this just for goldenboys moments, the answer is yes I fucking did. The balls are hosted more frequently around this time since Punz is trying to keep up appearances and come across as capable, just as capable as his parents. It’s an act.

Purpled doesn’t like these balls at All so he frequently stays in his bedroom or in other rooms of the castle. Sometimes he’s reading, sometimes he’s playing the piano. At the current time, Elowynne and Velaron are still on good terms since Phil is still keeping the peace and actually trying to give Punz advice with ruling. So, they show up to these events sometimes.

Tommy, knowing Purpled is rather introverted and reserved, sneaks off from the ballroom to go find him. They have a lot of personal conversations during these events, and more often than not, Tommy leads them in a typical ballroom-style dance. Purpled talks about his worried regarding Punz and opens up about the whole Primara thing, and Tommy shares some secrets and worries of his own. One of them being the horns he was sort of “cursed” with. There aren’t any romantic feelings between them in this AU, but they do imagine and talk about the possible life they could have together—In another life, another time.

Around this time, Wilbur and Schlatt’s fuckass situationship falls apart because Wilbur says he needs to focus on a serious relationship, and at one of those balls, meets Sally. She’s from a kingdom much further away from Velaron, but Wilbur believes that he’s in love. They fall out of touch and Schlatt is mad about it.

When Wilbur is about 18 and Tommy’s 14, Philza says “lmfao fuck it” and LITERALLY disappears and tells Wilbur he needs to find Kristin again. So at 18, Wilbur is then pronounced King of Velaron. He doesn’t feel as though he’s ready. Under a lot of stress, he says a lot of things he probably shouldn’t, causing tensions to rise between Velaron and Elowynne + Primara. He doesn’t have any guidance since he is 18 and viewed as fit, so a lot of things go wrong.

As tensions rise and start leaning towards signs of a war for about a Year, Tommy and Purpled are both appointed personal knights at the age of 15. Tommy is appointed Eryn who is his age, and Purpled is appointed Jack, who is 16. Purpled and Tommy continue to visit each other in secret even though they shouldn’t, but they aren’t specifically told to stop seeing each other. Purpled calls Tommy treason. He is called freedom in return.

Wilbur, under stress from the tensions rising, asks Schlatt for an alliance in case a war breaks out. Despite the bitterness of what once was, Schlatt agrees and starts to visit Wilbur in person so they can discuss possible plans and what to do if war does eventually break out.

Tommy and Tubbo still visit Techno, but they haven’t seen him in about a year because of the tensions rising. This time around, somebody else is living with Techno. It’s Ranboo! (that feeling when an ex-warrior stumbles upon an orphan who is 15. that’s his kid now tbh…) While Tommy is venting to Techno about the possible war, Tubbo finds himself talking to Ranboo. It’s a bit hard since Ranboo is a bit introverted and Tubbo makes him nervous, but they strike up an ongoing conversation. Eventually, Tubbo starts making visits alone to talk to Ranboo, as he considers them to be friends. During these visits, Tubbo also talks to Techno about how he wishes he didn’t have the life he currently had. He wanted to be part of the people who fight for a cause, but Schlatt had been keeping him away from info about the war. Also later in the story, Tubbo admits to Schlatt that he is in love with Ranboo and wishes to marry him, but Schlatt refuses because one, this mf is bitter about his failed relationship and is projecting and two, says that Tubbo can’t marry a commoner since it isn’t in tradition. If he is to do that, he would be exiled. Tubbo grows angry about this and the fact Schlatt is keeping him shut out from the war, and visits Techno more and more to vent.

Soon enough, it’s found out that Purpled and Tommy are still visiting each other despite their kingdoms being on the brink of war, and Punz and Wilbur forbid them from speaking to each other or seeing each other again. This doesn’t stop them though, and only makes them more sneaky.

Eventually, Dream convinces Punz to declare war on Elowynne. Hannah and Purpled are against this, but they aren’t in power to have any decision over it. So, Elowynne goes to war with Velaron. Jack and Purpled grow a lot closer during this time, since Purpled is kept indoors as much as possible under Punz’s orders. Purpled considers Jack to be one of his only friends, and treats him as such. When war eventually breaks out and Jack says he’ll no longer take Purpled to see Tommy out of fear for his safety, an argument breaks out and things are said that somewhat burn the bridge of their friendship. Purpled is hurt by this.

Quickly, both kingdoms are quick to fall into a multitude of battles. Not much happens story wise besides more aggression, so I’m just gonna jump to like the big angst moment LMAO..

Since Wilbur and Punz aren’t comfortable keeping their younger brothers at the castles when war is happening, they keep their brothers in their sights during the battles. This means that they are quite literally on opposite sides of the war now.

Eventually Purpled has enough and demands Jack take him on horse to go see Tommy, even when it’s against the rules. They argue about it a little bit, but Jack caves and gets Purpled onto a horse with him since it’s the safest bet to get across the battlefield. They get about halfway until an artillery strikes down and Purpled and Jack are thrown off the horse from the explosion. Both of them are winded and while Jack finds himself unable to move from the shock and impact, he sees Purpled stagger to his feet and continue to run to Tommy. Tommy sees Purpled by this point and starts running down the hill as well, allowing Eryn to come with him to stay safe.

Purpled, not focusing on anything else except Tommy, doesn’t see Sam run up on him. Purpled is then stabbed through the back with a sword, forced down to the ground. He’s quickly immobilized, and since Sam yanks the sword out, Purpled is bleeding out FAST. Fuck Sam we all hate Sam in this AU !

Jack is up off the ground now and is running to Purpled to help him, and while Eryn did attempt to hold Tommy back to keep him from danger, Tommy breaks from his hold and runs to get to Purpled. Tommy still thinks Purpled can be saved even though he’s bleeding out on the ground and can barely see above him, and is desperate to get him help. Without hesitation, he asks Jack to help him carry Purpled up to one of the medical tents so they can get him help.

They’re in rainy weather, and it’s pouring HARD like I’m serious about that. Tommy’s hair is soaked and is flattening against his head, so like. His horns are visible. And he’s carrying the “opponent’s” body. Antfrost, FUUUCKING ANTFROST. Sees Tommy carrying Purpled’s dead body and he sees those horns, and doesn’t wait to aim and shoot Tommy with an arrow.

Jack looks away for a split second so he can try and shift his grip on Purpled’s body as they’re carrying it, and in that time Tommy is shot. Jack has now seen two people die right in front of him, and he doesn’t know what to do.

Remember how I said Technoblade was once a warrior? And how Tubbo had been visiting him as war was on the horizon? Yeah. SO BASICALLY Tubbo is like fuck it and he asks Techno if they can sneak into battle and like obviously he’s told Yes so what does Tubbo do when he sees his best friend get bowed down? This inexperienced 16 year old runs into a battlefield and literally kills Antfrost. Not even fucking playing like I’m deadass this is what is being planned .

Tiny time skip because I need to wrap this up but eventually Purpled and Tommy’s bodies are brought into one of Velaron’s medical tents and are laid down, and a sheet is placed over Purpled. Tommy still has an arrow through him. Wilbur sees Tommy and hurries to him since like HIS BROTHER ISSS FUCKING DYING OBVIOUSLY THE MAN IS DISTRESSED and Tommy is delirious and Begging that Purpled be helped but Wilbur says there isn’t anything they can do for him and that he just needs Tommy to stay awake but like. That ain’t fucking happening I’m sorry.

So, both at 16, Tommy and Purpled are pronounced dead.

Wilbur is like yeah hell No and he tries to communicate with Punz that the war needs to stop because they aren’t getting anywhere and now both of their brothers are dead. Punz, blinded by hatred and literal manipulation, doesn’t want to stop at first because he refuses to surrender. A LONG meeting is had and eventually, after Wilbur drills some words into Punz’s head, the war is abruptly ended.

Tensions are still high even when the war ends. Boomer comes back to find his younger brother has died, and that the funeral plans are barely what Purpled what have wanted. Hannah thinks Punz handled—and is still handling—everything poorly. Jack is distraught by the loss of his friend, and falls into grief.

Philza and Kristin eventually return, and of course, learn their youngest is dead as well. Wilbur doesn’t know how to feel. He wants to be happy that his parents are back but he only feels anger at the fact that Phil abandoned him and basically left him to handle a war on his own. Techno isn’t sure what side to take on the matter, and frankly stays the fuck out of it !

After a lot of arguments and plans, multiple things happen. Purpled and Tommy are eventually buried next to each other on neutral ground, much against Punz’s wishes. He’s like the only fucking one against this btw jesus christ

Jack quits his occupation as a knight. Hannah, one of the only ones still trying to keep things afloat, honorably discharges him from his job and lets him go. Eryn only uses the grief he’s gained as fuel into his work, and eventually becomes a top ranked knight. He knows Tommy would be happy for him.

Boomer, who wants to run away again but is mad on Purpled’s behalf, makes it his fucking Goal to assassinate Dream. He is insistent that if Elowynne never got involved with Primara, then the war wouldn’t have happened, and Purpled wouldn’t be dead.

More “sibling enemies” shit, Hannah dedicates her life to trying to take down Punz as King so she can separate Elowynne from the puppet monarchy and bring peace once more. She never saw Punz fit to rule in the first place.

Wilbur and Sally separate, and Wilbur tries to run back to Schlatt and say they can work things out but Schlatt is like “yeah no it’s no use” so yeah. schlattbur is DEAD but like the gay yearning is still there.

A CHILD IS BORN. Wilbur and Sally broke up but damn Sally was pregnant. And Fundy is fucking born. They acknowledge they can’t force themselves to be together, but Wilbur doesn’t run away from being a dad. He happily takes care of Fundy and swears on his own life that he’s never going to put Fundy through the things he was put through.

Tubbo, listening to Tommy’s past advice of taking control and putting his foot down, tells Schlatt he will be marrying Ranboo, and therefore exiles himself. He moves away into a cottage with Ranboo and they adopt a child, Michael. While the relationship has crumbled between Schlatt and Tubbo, it is implied that it starts to repair itself when Schlatt gets over himself and visits the pair. He doesn’t want to lose the only thing he had left, his brother.

Jack moves away as well, living somewhat far from Elowynne. He and Eryn become closer during this period, and eventually Eryn finds himself practically living with Jack on his time off from work. The pair form something out of grief, but they’re glad they have each other. Jack also adopts Dogchamp, with Hannah’s permission. He still has a hard time letting go of Purpled.

I think that’s all . Obviously there are some parts I missed but it is almost TEN PM and I want this over with. don’t steal this otherwise I will come for you xoxo it will be on sight TRUST.
