During their 7th year, James and Sirius fake proposed to each other constantly when they went out for dinner so they could get a free meal. When they got a bit older, they ended up accidently going to one of these restaurants this time accompanied by Remus and Regulus, their partners. The fuckung server remembered them, and the poor, well-intentioned man came up to them and asked, "How's married life working out for you?" and you could FEEL the terror that took over James and Sirius when their boyfriends turned around to glare at them

I will never understand Regulus hate. He was born and brought up in a cult and saw firsthand with his brother and cousin what happens when you go against the family. God forbid a CHILD try to survive in a culty household and war. People who hate him only see him as a death eater like hello??? Are u forgetting the main part of his story where he walks into his death destroying a horcrux??????? He ALONE at 17 discovered Voldys secret and died destroying a horcrux and people are hating on him????? HES A MFING WAR HERO!!!!

(This is definitely a rant)

I hate how misogynistic the marauders fandom is, how misogynistic fandom is.

I pride myself in the fact that I don't need an audience to be creative in this fandom. I have and will still make edits and draw fanart and write my headcanons. I am currently writing a 400,000 word fanfiction that is just for me, I have literally zero intention to post it.

Currently, I don't even really want to post anything related to the girls, not a Narcissa headcanon or a sketch of Marlene, because I know no one wants to see it. I have in my notes a character breakdown for Walburga Black that I gave up on because no one cares.

It makes me sad that I care, or that I want people to care.

It isn't a subtle misogyny here either. I have repeatedly asked in posts and in multiple communities if anyone has any Dorlene fics they like, and no one has said a thing. I know y'all don't just hate me cause I have also asked about many mlm ships and I always get responses.

Misogyny is awful (I think we can all agree) and it is such a difficult thing to ignore in a space that I dedicate a lot of my time to. Watching myself think "Oh, I shouldn't post Dorcas Meadows varients. I should do Evan instead, people will like it more." honestly made me feel like I needed to take a step away from the thing that I have literally not stopped thinking about since I first read the books as a little kid.

Joanne is an awful, misogynistic, ass and I NEED everyone in the marauders fandom to know every. single. time. you scroll past a fic or a headcanon BECAUSE it is about one of the girls you are proof that we are just as bad as her.

Notice that I didn't say art, that was on purpose. Lesbians have been fetishized unfortunately, for forever and I do not want the only representation the women have in this fandom to be about their sexulity or appearance. Lesbians can exist and not be a fetish, the problem arises when they are portrayed as objects to look at and not interact with.

The girls are just as interesting, just as tragic, and just as important as any of the guys. Narcissa is one of my all time favorite characters, full stop. I love Sirius and Peter and Severus as much than the next marauders fan, but I also LOVE Lily, Narcissa, Dorcas and Bellatrix just as much!

Write fics from the girls pov, write headcanons about their past, about their families and personalities. And please, someone suggest me a Dorlene fic damnit.

Edit: I do not think any individual is a misogynists because they don't read wlw fanfiction, that is not the point of this rant. I think people are misogynists when they openly and honestly hate women. People can do misogynistic things and not BE misogynists. It is not an issue if you read mlm content. It is an issue if you don't want to explore women characters because they are women.

“Reg ! Reg I have something to tell you “Remus blurted out as soon as he saw Regulus sitting at their designated table in the library.

“Well spit it out then we don’t have all day” Regulus sighed thinking that Sirius and James had finally gotten to Remus being the way he was jumping and smiling.

“Me and Sirius” he started

“Sirius and I” interrupted Regulus looking at him incredulously “honestly Remus what has gotten into you today ?”

“Ok will you shut up and listen !” Remus snapped though still smiling

“Yes yes sorry go on” Regulus said with a grimace already a little wary

“Ok so Sirius and I are dating” Remus rambled out with flushed cheeks

“My brother, Remus really?” Said Regulus with fake disappointment he knew his brother was always mad for the brown haired boy

“Oh shut up” the brown haired boy in question said still beaming

“Now only you and Prongs need to get together” remus sighed no doubt thinking of chaotic double dates

“Why would me and that obnoxious twit get together ?” Regulus scrambled out not hiding his nervousness so well

“Because my darling reggie you’re in love with him no matter how much you deny it and he is in love with you and he makes no effort whatsoever to deny it” Remus said smugly

“He what now” blurted Regulus surprised

“He is in love with you” Remus said slowly as if talking to a kid

“Don’t get my hopes up like that Remus” Regulus sighed knowing there’s no point in denying it

“I’m telling the truth” Remus said indigantly

“I don’t wanna talk about it alright ? Let’s just study” snapped Regulus

“Love” called out Remus as soon as he entered his dorm

“Yes darling” Sirius yelled out

“Come out here please” Remus said fondly

“Hi” said Sirius with an adorable smile leaning up to kiss Remus

“Hi” sighed out Remus with a lovesick smile

“So what did you want to tell me ?” said Sirius jumping up on his bed while patting the space beside him

“Well you know how James stares at Reg all the time” said Remus climbing in the bed

“Yes.. he’s made it so obvious he doesn’t even hide it anymore” murmured Sirius

“And you know Reg likes him back” Remus said slowly as if anticipating an outburst

“I know that too but of them are too big of cowards to ask each other out” Sirius sighed

“Exactly !” Remus said with excitement

“So what are you saying” Sirius said warily

“We get them together !” Remus basically yelled

“My brother and my best friends who basically my brother ? you want me to get my two brothers together ?” Sirius commanded

“Okay weren’t you just saying those two need to get together” Remus said

“Well yes but I don’t want a hand in it” pouted Sirius

“Oh come on love get your brothers together (pause) ok no that sounded weird get your brother and your best mate together” Remus said with excitement

“Fine fine just because you want them to” Sirius said petulantly

“Oh you know you want them to get together so they would stop being such sorry sods” Remus teased

“Who’s a sorry sod ?” James interrupted

“No one” Sirius and Remus chorused

“Ok how about we hang mistletoe everywhere” suggested Sirius

“Won’t work they’ll just kiss on the forehead or cheek no” Remus said

“So we just need them to get at the same place at the same time, right” mumbled Remus

“Well, James goes to the library everyday hoping to catch a glimpse of him and he goes to almost all Gryffindor quidditch practices just to see James whilst pretending he’s coming to support me” Sirius said thoughtfully

“How the hell do they not figure it out ?” snapped Remus

“Babe, they’re fully convinced it’s unrequited love, those pretentious pieces of shit” Sirius smirked

“Oh I know, they’re both daft pricks” Remus no more than yelled

“I have an idea” Sirius said warily

“I hate Remus why the hell did he want to study out here in the freezing cold at 12 on a Saturday” Regulus thought going towards the lake where Remus had asked them to meet

“Bloody hell why are there more people out here” he mumbled looking at a silhouette

Getting closer he recognized James

“Potter?” he shouted so as James could hear

James turned around wearing a green jumper and a scarf

“Regulus” James grinned albeit a little confused

“What are you doing here and where’s Remus” said a trembling Regulus

“Shit you’re cold” James stated

“Here” James said wrapping his scarf around Regulus

“Thanks Potter” Regulus said with flushed cheeks

“Don’t thank me for such a small thing Reg”

“Now to answer your earlier question I am here because Sirius asked me to meet him here to plan Quidditch strategies, and I’m sorry but I have no idea where Remus is, why are you looking for him though?” James questioned

“Oh, he wanted to study, why out here I will never know” Regulus said with his teeth chattering

“Let me just” said James while putting a warming charm on Regulus after frowning at the way his teeth chattered

“Tha- “

“No I said no” James interrupted Regulus

“Right” Regulus said looking away

“What are you doing tomorrow” James asked with a small nervous smile

“Tomorrow?”

“Hogsmead, remember?” James grinned

“Ohh I forgot about that” said Regulus

“Would you want to-“ James said

“Hey Reg, James sorry we got caught up in something” Sirius interrupted coming out of no where

“Yeah sorry, Reg you wanna go now ?” Remus said with an embarrassed smile

“Yeah yeah lets go” Regulus said with a rejected sort of smile

“So what were you two talking about then” Sirius mumbled while looking at Remus and Regulus going

“Nothing” James said with a sad smile, when was he going to get a chance to ask the boy he so desperately looks forward to see everyday, actually that wasn’t fair he had gotten plenty of chances to ask him out but he chickened out everytime

“Well it seems the universe wants me to see you” Regulus said instead of a greeting when he saw James in the astronomy tower

“Hello to you too Reg” said James without even turning around still looking at the stars

“So what are you doing up here ?” Regulus asked

“Contemplating” Jame sanswered

“If that isn’t the most vague answer ever, what’s gotten into you Potter ?” Regulus asked

“Ok see imagine if you like a guy, and you’re like 90% sure the guy likes you back, would you ask him out ?” James said instead of answering in a straight forward manner

“What are you trying to say ?” said Regulus nervously

“ I’m saying I like a guy, he’s a bit younger than me, moody, doesn’t like to talk much but is amazingly nice, he has an older brother who’s a bit of a prat but lovable nonetheless and he has this weird aversion to the colour red . I want to ask him out should I ?”

“Yeah yeah I think you should” Regulus mumbled not looking at James

“So Regulus Black would you go to hogsmead with me tomorrow ?” James asked nervously

“James potter I would love to go to hogsmead with you tomorrow” Regulus replied grinning
