Knowing what we know now about Ego and Noa's past relationship, this whole "Turning Kunigami into another Noa" thing has a way more twisted and selfish lens to it then it did previously. Noa has said previously that this whole thing is really just another way for Ego to try and beat his former rival by any means necessary, even if that means genetically altering a teenage boy to be just like him "But better".

And I really think a part of the reason that Kunigami is struggling so hard is because Ego deliberately told him to get rid of his own ego, and then threw him to the wolves without anything to help him.

Kunigami has nothing now and is basically just running on pure vibes. He wanted Kunigami to just be completely devoid of who he was previously so he could emulate Noa to perfection, but it's backfired obviously. People are a lot more complicated then that.

I think it's simply that Ego doesn't really understand Noa on that kind of level, and so he had no idea what kind of ego the number 1 striker even holds, or what drives him. And that makes sense, considering Noa is such a patient and reserved man. We've only seen him get visibly angry ONCE this entire manga and it was when Isagi went against his orders, and begged to have Hiori in.

But Noa himself isn't really that complicated in my opinion, it's just the "why" of his actions that elude Ego.

This I wrote fanfics for a few fandoms and it's scary as hell to write something especially if you're new to the fandom and like out of a good few kudos 1 comment in the end I got terrified and orphaned my works or made them anonymous and I regret it half the time.

That's why I try my best to comment on fanfics even if it's a small "cute story." or "had me in tears thank you." I leave them little notes when I bookmark things now, now that I know they can see it just to let them know I loved interacting with their works you know.

Call me entitled but it's like it really helps motivate me to write faster, also it lets me know what people like or lets me see what the reader is expecting from the story I just want some connection. Please.

Had to share this here because you're right and you should say it. It's incredible how many people came out of the woodwork as soon as AO3 was down and suddenly had no compunctions at all about screaming how much they love and need fanfic--on the AO3 twitter. Is it so much harder to do in the comment section?

At this point I don't care anymore if people call me entitled or think I'm out of line. If fanfic is so meaningful to you that you cannot go half an hour without, let alone 24h, then you can get over yourself long enough to write a fucking comment. No excuses.

"writing comments is hard and scary" yeah well GUESS WHAT so is writing fanfics. fandom as a community is dying, because it is instead treated as a COMMODITY, a CONSUMER PRODUCT. We're not asking for much. We're asking for a CONNECTION. We don't want to sell, we want to share.

You've shown your hand. You've admitted you cannot live without us. Now ACT LIKE IT. Go write a fucking comment.
