I haven't watched past season 1 from DR, which I did when it first came out in my country, so my memory is a bit foggy (i did watch monstrosity but my memory is shite), but... the PARALLEL WITH LLOYD?! Cuz iirc, it was Wu's voice/ghost-thingy that encouraged Lloyd to find his family (again iirc lmao) SO LIKE. AKJWJWKW IM ILL WHAT HAPPENED TO SENSEI WU
Its very important to me how WU was the first person that illusion monster showed to Kai.
Because Wu, for all of the ninja, is like this guiding light that shows them exactly what they need when they need it. He’s always there, saving and protecting them. He always comes to them whenever they’re lost.
And Kai was so, so lost, so of course Wu would appear because there is no one Kai trusts to show him the right way like Wu.
#listen#reading wu or misako bashing fics are a guilty pleasure#i love it from time to time BUT#BUT#it is UNDENIABLE that they care deeply for the Ninjas/Lloyd#yes they made countless mistakes#that doesn't mean they don't care for or love their students/kid(s)#like if you ask me#wu/misako bashing <<<< wu and misako having reasons for making the mistakes they did#same for all parental figures in Ninjago#can we make them shitty and evil? hell yeah#but I also love it when they're complex people making mistakes but caring deeply for their children and loving them more than anything#thinking of Ray Maya Lou Cliff Libber#the anger is incredibly satisfying#supportive and caring parents even more so CANT FORGET GARMADON OF COURSE#anyway thats me on wu bashing#lego ninjago#ninjago#prev tag>#‘wus a bad teacher!!’ apparently hes anything but#all of the ninja so strongly look up to him even when he DOES make a mistake and i love that sm because they love him sm#<prev tag#kai ninjago#ninjago monstrosity#ninjago spoilers#wu ninjago#sensei wu#kai smith#kai jiang

Oh shoot I forgot to say this: politics are a different thing entirely. If you actively support politics that oppress people you're a horrible person, but there are individuals in every community who won't shy away from harming others through the politics they support (in the case of the USA, think of lgbtq+ people, women, immigrants, brown people etc who support Trump.) Holding those beliefs and behaviours can be accidental because of how ingrained it is in society, but supporting those politics is an active choice to support the oppression of people and should widely be shamed.
What I mean when I say that I'm a radical feminist: fuck men, fuck the patriarchy, fuck beauty standards and the entire beauty industry, good men are so rare that all men is closer to the truth so thats what I mean, I don't care about men as a group, I don't care about the male loneliness epidemic, yes make-up and adhering to beauty standards can be a free choice while still being a patriarchal tool, same goes for other patriarchal standards for women such as the housewife fantasy, I truly believe that in our world thanks to our society women are generally better people than men, all rapists should die right now, women should be free to wear what they want and I genuinely don't care what tf men do, when men cry about feminism it's amusing, I don't feel the need to educate men who are unwilling to learn and they can kindly jump off a cliff and I could go on for HOURS
What radical feminism seems to be/what people think I mean: haha trans women going to women's bathrooms and joining women's sports teams is bad and they're predators and should be banned and their genitals/chromosomes should be controlled.
Like babe either learn why you're wrong or admit that you're actually a supporter of the patriarchy.

You make a very good point, and of course, trans people are not immune to holding misogynistic views, but neither am I. But excluding them when talking about feminism, pretending that they're the or a cause of misogyny or that their very existence is misogynistic (such as trans women making a mockery of womenhood because they're not biological women) or their very existence is a threat to women (the classic predator in the bathroom/lockerroom or usurper in the sportsteam idea) is simply not true.
Yes, they can hold misogynistic views, behaviours, politics, et cetera, but honestly, I think that with the way our (mainly the western/western-influenced) world is built there is no one, women, trans person or cis person, who is completely free of these prejudices.
I'm not saying that in any conflict with feminists vs trans people (why are we even fighting - we're being oppressed by the same system) the feminists are automatically the villains and the trans people are automatically the victims, I'm just saying that so-called radical feminists who believe that trans people are the biggest issue at hand or an issue in general are helping the patriarchy and not being logically consistent or acting very feminist, because again, we are being oppressed by the same system.
The quote "divide and conquer" comes to mind: if the patriarchy can successfully convince us that trans people are the issue or that their existence undermines feminism and/or womanhood it becomes easier to define womanhood the way the patriarchy wants it to be defined: walking wombs and sex-objects. No womb? No woman. Yes womb, but claiming to be a boy? These silly rebellious girls, that's so funny. You're just confused, maybe you were hurt for being a woman or girl, but that doesn't/can't change that you are a woman.
(I'm saying it in a stupid way, not to mock you, but to ridicule the patriarchy.)
So, in short: no, trans people are not immune to holding misogynistic beliefs, behaviours and politics, nor are they automatically the victim in a feminist vs trans conflict. But pretending/claiming/acting as if trans people as a group or community are a threat to womanhood and/or feminism is simply incorrect and helps the patriarchy because it causes unnecessary conflict between two groups oppressed by it and distracts us from the root of the issue: the patriarchy.
I think that's all I wanted to say for now.

Okay maybe it's just me but to me it looks like Hama and Ozai are framed as the good guys/Aang and Katara as the bad guys AND I LOVE IT?!?! LIKE
Idk the top work has the whole 'clearly OP god-like guy' hovering over a normal human and because the normal human is usually the good guy and often times the underdog everyone wants to root for so having Ozai in the underdog spot facing a person/being clearly far stronger than him frames him as the hero standing up to a dictator/tyrant.
Meanwhile in the bottom pic it's framed with Katara as the one in the offense and Hama in the defense position, the water not touching Katara implying that she is untouchable and thus far more powerful while it rushes toward and partially looms over Hama, again putting Katara in the all-powerful spot and Hama in the underdog position against someone far more powerful.
And it's true that Aang and Katara are more powerful than Hama and Ozai (not up for discussion. Do not try to start a debate. I don't make such claims lightly) and ofc if you know the show and the context you know that Ozai and Hama aren't underdogs facing tyrants/dictators but are the tyrants/dictators and that Katara and Aang are actually the underdogs (even if they're more powerful than their opponents) and these pictures depict them rising above these threats. But if you don't know the context. Oooh this is delicious I love overthinking and overanalyzing art

I love the luigi dad
I've been doing a lot of thinking about my family and how I was treated as a child, and honestly, my father has never seemed more amazing in my eyes.
I used to love Luigi(Mario's brother) when I was little. Like, he was my favorite character ever, and I had multiple plushies of him. Didn't give a fuck about Mario, vaguely tolerated Peach, but I loved Luigi.
On my first day of kindergarten, my dad gave me the number for his work phone and said it was Luigi's phone number. "If anything happens at school, call Luigi."And not even twenty minutes into my first day, I was having a panic attack. So I went down to the principal's office and called "Luigi."
Now, at the time, my father was in a meeting with his manager and his supervisor, along with most of his coworkers. And when I called, he picked up before he even left the room.
And he put on a very awful Italian accent and said, "Itsa me, Luigi! Whatsa the matter?"In front of his boss and coworkers. Without telling them what was going on. So they were absolutely bewildered, and he carried on like they didn't even exist. He only explained what was happening after I had calmed down and hung up, to which most of them responded with "Aww, cute."
I continued to call him whenever I got upset at school, and eventually his coworkers got in on it. I distinctly remember one of them impersonating Toad. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I just thought it might make you smile :)
this is so delightful I love your Luigi dad

100% agree I think they're 0% human they're half oni half dragon like the FSM bcuz bro just spawned them. They have one (☝️) parent and it's a guy who's simultaneously the biggest outcast weirdo loser ever in his og home and literal God himself with a capital G but ninja lego edition.
Huh that just made me realize that Movie!Lloyd is just the highschool AU of his grandpa (altho idk if the movie has the same creation thing as the show but idc tbh cause I haven't watched the movie(I just like the angsty fics and fanart lol. I know the basic premise/plot but thats it))
I subscribe to the “Wu and Garmadon don’t have a mom” theory not because of anything in canon, but purely because I think it’s stupendously funny that the FSM was just like “man, I’m bored. I want kids.” Then accidentally spawned in Darth Vader and Master Shi Fu in Lego form.

I've said this before but every basic feminism 101 women's empowerment event I've ever been to has been all about telling women and girls that it's okay to speak up for ourselves, it's okay to take up space, it's okay to be strong and fast and loud and hungry and sexy and smart and good at things without feeling shame, but apparently, with the way some people talk, the second a trans woman does any of these things it's evidence of "male socialization" and needs to be called out and "corrected." like, even if this were the case, which it isn't, I think it's patently insane to believe "it looks like these women don't have as much crushing shame from a lifetime of experiencing misogyny as most other women" (<- a claim that, from my experience, is simply not true about trans women) and then follow it up with "I must Fix This by teaching them to shut up and be ashamed" instead of, like, idk "good for them, I wish this type of liberation for all other women as well."

Height and weight are the only reasonable separations. Why are people this stupid.
"do you want women competing against trans athletes" yes? I also want women competing against male athletes. and competing alongside them. because segregating sports by gender is extremely shitty actually?

okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the "personal life" part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you'll either find a major tragedy he didn't recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she's not there anymore.
I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he's done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.
so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn't work in history, or, women aren't auteurs, or, there just aren't as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.
