Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday after Halloween. Because it’s a day for gratitude. I saw a quote that goes something like “what if we woke up today with the things we showed gratitude for yesterday’.... That quote stuck with me. So I sit and dwell on all of my blessings EVERY SINGLE DAY. But most importantly, I make a point to wake up every morning and say “I am so grateful to be alive another day on this Earth”. There’s something so powerful, peaceful and joyous about waking up to that thought. I recently discovered that I LOVE avocados. I always hated them, till one day I tried em again and loved em! So, I decided to grow an avocado tree. Everyone said that I couldn’t grow one because Georgia is too cold, so I decided to grow it inside. It may get harder to carry and keep alive as it gets bigger, but that’s okay. I’ve had a few people try to cut me down lately cause of my positivity and work I’m doing on myself. Basically, they think that all of my positivity is ‘crap’. Am I a freaking Care Bear that NEVER has bad moments or days? NO! But I AM someone who has decided to focus on the positive whenever possible. I still cry, get angry, sad and annoyed. But I let myself feel those feelings, release them and decide to find the good in the situation to focus on! I am an absolute basket case at times. My mind will race SO fast that I can’t focus on a task or conversation. And sometimes, it finds something negative to focus on....
