You know, I was sort of expecting the ending with Eternal Sugar to be like that cause the yandere vibes were off the charts and she does not feel settled fully in reality-

Was not expecting the weird doomed heterosexuals of Pavlova and Sugarfly. Like? Knew he was fixated on her. Thought it was in rivalry. Was probably NOT rivalry.

Was catching up on the apothecary diaries and had the sudden realization that if Mao Mao and Jinshi ever got their shit together and put full efforts into a goal together...

Terrifying. Absolute horror. As much as they both may be somewhat neutral forces for good, Mao Mao's intelligence and tactics combined with Jinshi's charisma and position/power.... it's already joked about that Jinshi's beauty could probably start a war if they accentuated it. And Mao Mao gets her own plans with poisons undercut regularly... usually for her own good but it's understood she's a bit of a mad scientist. Those two energies combined feel like a formula for an apocalypse. If they ever properly joined forces it would be the power couple of the dynasty.

And it's currently only held back by the fact that Jinshi can't get his head wrapped around his crush on her and his own identity situation while Mao Mao is noping her way out of what seems like trouble to her.

The problem with 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' is literally every other character is cooler than Sean Connery and the American guy...

Minas one of the sickest vamps in movies and I wanna SEE her eat more people. Nemo is like Batman except with a sick beard and we only see him throw down like once and its so sick. Dr Jekyll is Dr Jekyll. The invisible guy just disappears (pun not intended) for most of the movie....

Remake THIS movie. Make it a bit cooler. Thats all it needs...

Love making Star Wars AUs for other fandoms, especially since sometimes fandoms translate over to Star Wars in fascinating ways. What characters would fit as Jedi? Mandalorians? Which characters would be smugglers, bounty hunters, Senators, pilots.... how would settings translate into Star Wars universe, how would powers translate?

It can be so easy sometimes because Star Wars is a vast and complex story with oceans of lore that you can easily drop characters into.

speaking of third-wheeling i love when people are like "third-wheeled too hard and now i'm in a throuple" but i think a little spoken of third-wheeled-too-hard option is getting adopted by other adults. one time when i was 25 and in undergrad i made friends with a married couple in their thirties and ended up in such an unusual relationship that one day they called me to their house and sat me down very somberly and then one of them started crying and i thought one of them must have gotten some sort of life-altering health diagnosis or something

but then they told me they were getting a divorce and they were going to be okay, but they had been agonizing for two weeks over how to tell me because they didn't want to "disrupt" my life and it was then that i had to remind them that i was actually a fully grown adult and that i was going to be completely okay and that in fact i would like to be there for them in this tumultuous time and they were like

"oh....... yeah"

You ever hear that old chestnut about how most people neglect the part of the story of Icarus where he also had to avoid flying too low, lest the spray of the sea soak his feathers and cause him to fall and drown? You ever think about how different the world would be if Icarus died that way instead? If the idiom was to Fly To Close To The Sea? A warning against playing it far too safe, about not stretching your wings and soaring properly? You ever think about how Icarus died because he was happy?
