Establishing, Stability Together (The Best Project) is a personal development and housing project. Our aim is providing housing opportunities whilst working to develop confident LGBTQ+(Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgendered, & Questioning) citizens whilst in care and heading towards leaving care. We want to contribute and use our our strategy in reducing homelessness amongst LGBTQ+ young people in care, leaving care and contributing to reducing the 62 % of homeless LGBTQ young people who have contemplated attempted suicide.l Compared with 29% of non-homeless LGBTQ young people. Why is this important LGBTQ young people can feel that they must choose between a safe home and being who they are. The solution is to focus on creating a space where LGBTQ young people don’t have to choose. To do that we must create real partnerships, conversations and solving needs. Meet “The Best Project”. The beauty of this project is that it makes us think with depth, consciously and differently. Deep down, we all want young people to strive and thrive. Doing so requires innovation, partnership, commitment and change. The consciousness day will introduce you to a new line of thinking that gives the opportunity to our LGBTQ young people in care to become a confident citizen whilst lowering rates of homelessness through our PRIDE PROGRAMME.
