Introducing Warren Selwyn😏

Everybody, meet Warren Selwyn: official hunk dad™ and DILF - and the father of Beatrice ;)

Warren is the adopted father of Beatrice, and her biological uncle. He was disowned, like his brother (the biological father of Beatrice), because he both fought against the pureblood ideals that his family held, as well as because he's gay. After he found out his brother had died and Beatrice had been left in the hands of muggle foster parents since she too had been disowned by the family, he immediately went out in search to find her and raise her as his own.

He makes a living as a private tutor for magic students around the globe - although mainly centered in Europe - which is enough for them to get by but nothing like the lavish lifestyles of the other Purebloods in Slytherin. Because of this job, he has a very academia style, like that of a modern history professor.

Warren serves as Beatrice's foundation and moral compass as she grows accustomed to her life at Hogwarts. She knows that anything she needs help with she can write to him for advice, and he'll write back as soon as possible.

Introducing Theodore Nott

Meet Theodore Nott! He hasn't been written into the story much, so his character vibes are still being developed. But, he's definitely going to be a "bad boy" type. The heart throb that he is on tiktok. He has a secret love for reading, so anytime he's not hanging out with his crew he can be found stalking around the library or outside near the lake with a good book in his hands.

More information to come about Theodore, as I decide more on his vibes! For now, enjoy his character art board.

Introducing Casey

Meet Casey Fawley, a goofball constantly in love. He's a Leo Valdez-inspired character, with less wit and more jokes. He's constantly using pick up lines on everyone around him, trying to woo the "ladies" (as he calls them).

Casey belongs to the Fawley family, another family within the Twenty-Eight Pureblood families. They have no communication with their cousins, the other Fawley family, who all have been in Hufflepuff for the past few years and have rebuked the Dark Lord. As such, they were disowned by their remaining family members.

Casey definitely has the joy and loyalty of a Hufflepuff, but hates the house. His biggest worry going into his first year of school was ending up in Hufflepuff and getting disowned by his parents (who had threatened it plenty times before). However, his friends still love him, no matter how many times he annoys them.

Introducing Pansy

Meet Pansy Parkinson, another familiar face with a bit of a revamp (aka giving her the character building that J K Rowling didn't deign for most of the Slytherins).

Pansy belongs to the Parkinson family, another one of the sacred twenty-eight purebloods. Her family's loyalty to the Dark Lord is well known, though she herself mostly flaunts this information for show. When it comes to the real deal death eaters, she'd rather stay out of it. Though her loyalty to her family will always come first.

She's a very spunky girl with a lot of attitude. Though she seeks power in the school through her well-known admiration for Draco, she still has power on her own. Her favorite thing to do when she's not fawning over Draco is bullying the first-years, but she also has a secret admiration for playing quidditch.

Though you don't want to be on the end of her bullying, she really is a great and loyal friend to those who prove themselves worthy to her. Though family always comes first, she's always willing to help a friend in need. She's always on time, and will ensure her friends make it to class on time with her, whether or not they want to go.

The Sacred Twenty-Eight

The Sacred Twenty-Eight are a group of elite pureblood families. They are the epitome of high society and act accordingly. Balls, gatherings, lavish clothing, expensive jewelry, castles, and manors. You name it, they have it. They're the textbook definition of pureblood Slytherins, exactly how J K Rowling imagined them. They're diehard Slytherins through and through and, most, are loyal to the Dark Lord (many of them bearing the Dark Mark to prove it).

They're definitely more of a dark academia, old-money aesthetic, so they have the newest and sharpest clothing. They all wear fancy jewelry and have perfect makeup. All of the children learn networking at an early age where they're forced to attend balls and meetings by their parents who expect the best behavior out of all of them.

Most of the children from these families are extremely loyal to their family as it's something that's instilled in them from a very young age. And, at Hogwarts, they act exactly as their parents do, expecting royalty treatment from everyone and attempting to keep everyone into submission. The Slytherin's bad reputation derives from them.

Cringey Fanfiction Idea

I was originally having my characters cursing - as the Harry Potter characters occasionally tend to do - but then my friend pointed out that they are still 11-year-olds, and came up with a funnier idea until they get older.

Basically, they use all of the like filler words for curses; so like, gosh, dang it, freak, frick, fricken, and other similar words. And part of me hates it because it reminds me of when I was in middle school, but the other part of me thinks it's deviously hilarious so I am now changing all of my writing for the first year or two to be like that until i can slowly integrate more serious cursing.

I hope this brings my readers as much cringe as it does me when I'm writing it.

Introducing Mabel

Meet Mabel Rosier, a beauty guru and would-be influencer (if the Wizarding World had them). Mabel is obsessed with everything beauty related, and aspires to be a wizarding beautician once she graduates; making potions and other enchanted items that improve your appearance.

At Hogwarts, Mabel's made it her mission to help everyone around her improve their appearance, like a Regina George type. However, most of her tips are actually backhanded compliments that she doesn't realize are mean. Though when she wants to be mean, she'll make it known.

Mabel belongs to the Rosier family, another part of the twenty-eight sacred purebloods. Their family are closely related to the Lestrange, Black, and Malfoy families. And, more distantly, the Greengrass family. Though these connections don't make them one big happy family, there are many ties between the families to ensure their pureblood status and keep up social appearances.

Mabel meets Beatrice on the train ride to Hogwarts in their first year, and surprises her with her chirpy, happy-go-lucky attitude for being a future Slytherin. Mabel's main mission at Hogwarts is to upkeep her beauty and make her rounds with all the boys she finds attractive - and there's plenty of those according to her.

I love the matching wands details in fics, especially when it's not noticeable at first but is an important detail later!!

Introducing Millicent!

Meet Millicent Bulstrode; a familiar character with a bit of a remodel. Millicent is rather shy, due to the fact that many of the pureblooded Slytherins mess with her for being a half-blood, despite being born into one of the sacred 28 Pureblood families.

She's really sweet once you get to know her, though isn't afraid to stand up for herself when the tormenting gets really bad. In fact, if not for the house difference, she and Hermione would likely be good friends since she's a rather studious person. If she's not hanging out with the Slytherins, she's in the library studying.

Starting work on the second book!

Introduction to my blog

Hello everyone! This is a motivation/inspiration blog for my harry potter fanfiction (currently unnamed, but called Beatrice Selwyn for our current purposes). It is a slowburn Draco Malfoy/OC romance (peep my middle school crush) that I'm currently working on.

I'm currently working on the first of a seven part fanfiction series, which is being edited right now and will be posted very soon. This blog will include character intros/vision boards, concepts, teasers, and other things as I continue my writing process.

Whether you just want to appreciate the aesthetics of my writing process - and trust me, it's aesthetic - or are actually interested in my fanfic, everyone is welcome here. I hope that all who visit this blog enjoy!

Introducing Eloise

Meet Eloise, an old-money mafia aesthetic girl. She's definitely not someone you'd want to cross at Hogwarts or you'll end up six feet under. She's one of Pansy Parkinson's best friends and her favorite activity is insulting the nearest person near her, especially the younger students.

Eloise belongs to the Avery family, long-standing members of the twenty-eight sacred pureblood families. They've been loyal to The Dark Lord for generations and widely known as being Death Eaters, though they've managed to avoid imprisonment for much longer than the Ministry would like to mention.

Eloise first meets Beatrice in their first year on the train ride to Hogwarts. It's frenemies at first sight. While Eloise and Beatrice aren't necessarily "besties", she's definitely the first person Beatrice would go to if she needed someone murdered.

Meet Beatrice Selwyn, the main character of my Harry Potter fanfiction!

Beatrice is the daughter of one of the sacred 28 pureblood families, cast away and disowned after her father was dishonorably killed during the 1st Wizarding War. Luckily, she was located and rescued by her - now - father, Warren Selwyn (you'll meet him later). He's technically her uncle, but as he raised her and took care of her most of her life, to her, he's her father.

Beatrice is involved in a very long slowburn with the Slytherin Prince himself, Draco Malfoy (though I'm sure you need no introduction).

You'll have more chances to see her later, but I hope you enjoyed this character introduction.
