Taking Care of Your Crystals
It’s important to cleanse new crystals and stones as you obtain them. Cleansing removes the energy that crystals naturally pick up along the way before reaching you. This better attunes them to your personal health and well-being, which makes them more useful for metaphysical and healing purposes. It’s also important to cleanse crystals after they’ve been used for meditation, stress relief, healing, emotional distress, and so on.
Methods for Cleansing Crystals
A very common method for cleansing and charging crystals is placing them in sunlight or moonlight for a set amount of time. Moonlight is generally the more gentle option, as sunlight can cause discoloring and fading in many types of crystals. This includes amethyst, turquoise, fluorite, rose quartz, opal, ametrine, aquamarine, celestite, prasiolite, kunzite, danburite, and dyed stones. Exposure to sunlight for these crystals should be kept to a minimum, ideally in indirect sunlight.
Water is another common method for cleansing. Cool water should always be used, never warm or hot. Tap water is fine, though many people prefer to use pure spring water. Rain water, moon water and salt water may also be used. A gentle rinsing is best. Submerging crystals in water should be avoided unless it’s a hard mineral.
Soft or porous minerals can be damaged or destroyed from water exposure, especially from salt water. Some examples are hematite, selenite, malachite, lapis lazuli, calcite, and halite. Click here for a chart that displays the Mohs’ Hardness for common minerals. Anything below 6.0 on the Mohs’ scale would best be kept away from water or moisture. Refer to this list for water soluble minerals.
Other methods of cleansing involve burying crystals in the earth for a few days to a week (very effective method), smoke cleansing with incense or an herbal stick, steam cleansing, sound cleansing (chanting, tuning forks), burying in dry sea salt (do not do this with soft minerals), and burying in dried herbs. Certain crystals and stones – such as hematite, citrine and clear quartz – may be used to cleanse other specimens.
Recharging Crystals
The purpose of recharging crystals is to replenish energy that may be lost when using them for healing, meditation or even just from sitting in a room. Again, sunlight and moonlight are common ways to do this. Other methods involve meditating with the crystal and using your own energy to charge the crystal, burying crystals in the earth, placing crystals next to a lit candle (but not too close), and placing them near thriving plants/trees/etc.
When to Cleanse and Charge Crystals
Once a week is best for most crystals that are used regularly in some way. If crystals are not used particularly often or at all, you can cleanse them every few months or not at all. It’s up to you. If a crystal feels “off” or its energy seems weaker or less vibrant, it’s a good indication that it needs to be cleansed and charged.
Storing Crystals
Crystals should be kept in an area that’s dry, clean and out of direct sunlight. Keep them away from heat sources, such as heaters, radiators, stoves, and vents. If you have a large collection, keep soft minerals separated from hard minerals to avoid chipping and scratching. Exposure to dust, moisture and salty air (common in coastal areas) may cause damage to certain minerals, so care should be taken in that respect. If possible, use boxes made of plastic or acid-free materials to prevent chemical reactions between the specimen and its container. Use soft fabrics to line boxes or containers that hold your crystals, to avoid surface damage.

Haunted Series: The Bell Witch Cave
When you hear the words, “Bell Witch Cave,” it probably conjures up images from the hit indie horror movie, “The Blair Witch Project.” After all, the movie was loosely based on the happenings of the witch said to reside in this real-life cave.
The Bell Witch Cave can be located in Adams, Tennessee, formerly known as Red River.
What’s So Special About This Cave?
As the name implies, the Bell Witch is said to reside in this cave. As we all know, most modern witches are individuals who live mundane lives just like everyone else and have no mission to harm others. “Bell Witch” is the name given to the entity that had cast horror upon the Bell family.
What Happened to the Bell Family?
The ordeal allegedly started in 1817. The Bell family started to hear terrifying things in the night such as rattling chains, whispered hymnals, and knocking on the walls of the house. The children complained of their covers being pulled off of them at night and their pillows being thrown.
The activity turned for the worst when the witch turned their attention mainly to the patriarch of the family, John Bell, and his daughter, Betsy Bell. They experienced physical trauma such as being pushed and getting slapped across the face, even leaving hand prints.
The activity was so infamous that their neighbors and even former president Andrew Jackson had to experience it for themselves. Both had bad experiences, especially one of Andrew Jackson’s soldiers who taunted the entity.

The Bell Witch started to focus their ill-intentions on the daughter, Betsy, when she became engaged to Joshua Gardner. For unknown reasons, the entity was strongly opposed to the marriage. The violence became so unbearable that Betsy broke off the marriage, which provided some relief to the torment.
At the end of it all, it was poor John that received the worst of the attention. The witch would often voice their hatred and intention to kill the man. As time went by, his health severely declined and, upon his death, the being announced to the family that they finally poisoned him, killing him. The family, in fact, did find a vial of unknown liquid in a cabinet. Even in death, John was unable to escape, as the witch was heard joyfully celebrating his death at the funeral.
Oddly enough, despite all of their ill-will, the being was recorded to have saved the life of a boy who got stuck in the cave and gave him a lecture on his recklessness and general caving safety.

Who Was the Bell Witch?
There is a debate within the paranormal investigative community on the identity of the Bell Witch. However, the more common theories involve a previous neighbor named Kate (the most common theory), a killed slave, and the scorned ex-lover of John Bell.
What Now?
Even at this time of writing, the cave supposedly is still fraught with paranormal activity. It is said that you can still hear their whispers and knocks on the cave walls. Shadows are regularly seen as well. If you are interested in visiting the cave and experiencing this first-hand, click here to get redirected to a website to schedule a tour.

Venus Retrograde in Gemini 2020 and Summer 2020
This is it, this is the retrograde astrologers have been warning us about!! Hold on to your hats and let the toxic relationships and stale ways of relating go!
Venus only retrogrades every 18 months so a Venus retrograde is always kind of a big deal. But several factors make this particular retrograde even more significant (of course, because 2020 is intense):
• Venus conjuncts Juno which has been in retrograde since February 8th.
• Retrograding in Gemini places Venus “out of bounds”.
• Mercury is going to join in on the fun and begin its retrograde period from June 18th to July 12th; but if we take into account the two shadow periods, Mercury Rx will be 10 weeks long, and essentially coincide with the Venus/Juno Retrogrades, June 4th - August 2nd altogether.
• Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius - June 5th 2020
• Solar Eclipse in Cancer - June 21st 2020
• The second conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto, June 30th 2020 – (marking the first two months, three and a half weeks of extreme transformation)
If you are
• Aries Rising, Taurus Rising, Gemini Rising, Libra Rising, Scorpio Rising or Sagittarius Rising
or have
• Venus in Taurus, Gemini or Libra
...this is going to affect you BIG TIME.
A special note to Gemini:
Venus only retrogrades in Gemini every 8 years; so, for those with Gemini placements, it's more significant. In addition, the Nodes will move into Gemini (North or True Node) and Sagittarius (South or Mean Node) in May 2020, so, all Gemini and Sagittarius placements will be heavily affected by this nodal transit for about the next year and a half. Where is Gemini in your natal chart? What house? Expect big spiritual changes there over the next year and a half.
Other than THAT, this Venus Retrograde will most affect Taurus, Libra, and to a lesser degree Scorpio, Aries, and Sagittarius.
Leo and Aquarius placements are already being heavily affected by the Saturn in Aquarius transit, which is currently happening.
Venus rules Taurus and Libra, and is known as the planet of love and beauty, but is more so the planet of partnerships (marriage or business or any kind of partnership) contracts, law, equitable balance, manners, charm, and social graces. (Romance actually belongs more to the Sun and Leo.)
Although Venus is going to begin her retrograde from May 13th until June 25th, the pre-shadow period of Venus Retrograde begins from April 9th to May 11th; with the post-shadow period beginning from July 2nd to July 29th.
With shadow periods included, the Venus retrograde in Gemini can really be considered to be April 9th to July 29th, giving us altogether three months and three weeks to work with these relationship, harmony and balancing energies.
What we are NOT going to do when Venus is in retrograde this spring and summer:
♡ We are NOT going to start any new relationships or even DATE anyone new!
♡ We are not going to take back our exes! Not immediately, anyway; trust your intuition. There could be some exes that you genuinely want to work things out with, who could come back into the picture at this time. Proceed with CAUTION and SLOWLY until Venus is fully out of her shadow! (The exes really do come out of the woodwork during a Venus retrograde. You've been warned.)
♡ WE DO NOT PLAN ANY WEDDINGS DURING VENUS RETROGRADE! Venus and Juno are going to cause so much havoc, so whatever plans or dates have been made need to be rescheduled. I'm serious. (Wait until September, when Juno is well out of her retrograde.)
What we DO during Venus Retrograde:
♡ We remember that a retrograde is happening to help us PAUSE, REFLECT, REASSESS AND REVIEW.
♡ We prepare for arguments to arise! This is worse than the last Mercury Retrograde when all of that energy was in Aries. Venus is “out of bounds” so expect for communication to be chaotic and emotional.
♡ We prepare for all relationships (regardless of your marital status), partnerships, contracts, and commitments to be under serious review. Whatever has to be ended around this time, will, and there is no stopping the inevitable. It will hurt, but consider it a blessing in disguise.
♡ We understand that reconciliations could happen during this time. But we make sure that this is something that has been divinely orchestrated. What is meant for you, won’t pass you by, so be patient.
❤

Months
January Wolf Moon The individualist will be highlighted with magic that’s aimed at amplifying and celebrating nonconformity, originality, and creativity. This is an excellent time to work magic that will manifest clearer communication, magic that will promote better understanding between individuals, and magic that will heal rifts. Basic human needs can be emphasized with the Wolf Moon and now is the time for spells to ensure those needs are met through magical manifestation. February Chaste Moon Now’s the time for spells to balance raw individualism with the dreamy and poetic side of life. Cast spells for divination, ambition, unrealized aspirations, and situations that will balance communication with emotion. Spells to reveal the truth and for clarity of vision may also be highlighted at this time. Magic aimed at the spiritual side of life will prove very strong with this moon. Now is the time to seek enlightenment and make some incredible magical connections with the Divine. March Seed Moon Just as water and fire may not mix well, so too, some personalities suffer from conflicts and unresolved issues. Now is your opportunity to work on spells of reconciliation and spells to temper anger. This is also the perfect time for magic to enhance aggressiveness where it’s called for, to work with dark magic for protection or retribution-- you’ll know which energy is needed where, trust me. The Seed Moon is the perfect time to work on issues of control, either to crush it where it’s bothersome, or to take advantage of it for your benefit. Now is also the time to instill passion in all pursuits and endeavors, giving a magical charge to any projects. April Hare Moon Magic during this time is all about transforming the energy of passion and will into physical manifestation. Anything you aspire to or desire will be brought into realization now through the passion of your emotions and the heat of your will-- just be careful what you wish for. This is also the perfect time to cast a spell to banish stubbornness, either in yourself or someone you deal with. And at the other end of the spectrum, you can work magic now to instill a backbone where one might be lacking. May Fairy Moon The Fairy Moon magnifies duality. In this moon is the potential for personal growth, for illumination and wisdom. But the darker side of this energy is neurotic and complicated-- handle with care. Cast magic now to unite logic and emotions, magic to emphasize the self and to banish bad habits, to strengthen self-esteem, and to reach personal goals. Work on magic that clarifies communication and highlights the solidity of reality with personal aspirations. This is also an excellent time for sex magic-- the energy of the God and Goddess is entwined, raw, and potent at this time. June Mead Moon Fairy magic will be powerful and their presence could herald both the mystical and the mischievous. Work on magic now that clarifies communication and highlights the element of Air. Use magic of the wee folk to tap into the fairy realms. Magic now is all about movement-- movement of ideas, creations, people, and places. This is the perfect time to cast spells of transformation, spells to increase/decrease, to banish/manifest. Think about where it is you want to be, either from a mental or physical perspective, and cast the magic needed to move you along to this destination. July Herb Moon Balance ego with perseverance and organization in your spell work at this time. Manifest the power of leadership and banish indecisiveness. Now is when you will find empowerment from the strength of your emotions combined with a strong will and Leo’s natural energy that leads to a desire for dominance. Cast spells for long-term goals that will come to fruition at the Winter Solstice, manifesting with the return of the Sun. Green witchcraft is highlighted with the Herb Moon. Revel in this magic. Tend to your herb gardens and flower pots with tender loving care. Pluck and snip and dry, hanging bundles from the kitchen ceiling and stashing away in bottles and jars the ingredients for future spells and magical workings. The witch gathers to her now the botanicals that she will use during the course of the coming months and the inevitable winter. August Barley Moon The Barley Moon is the time to reap the harvest of magic cast at the beginning of the summer season. It’s a time for the powerful assertive energy of Leo to give way to the calmer vibrations of Virgo. Do magic at this time to cleanse before the winter, cleansing not only your personal space, but intangible aspects as well. Clear out unwanted rubbish, whether it be inertia, conflict, indecisiveness, or some other personal weakness. As the summer winds down and wildlife begins to prepare itself for the dark months to come, this is where the heart of your magic lay as well. September Wine Moon Feminine energy is highlighted, receptive energy. Cast magic to draw inward, magic to draw those things-- both intangible and material-- to you that you need to fill the void. The Goddess is in the spotlight. Work magic to benefit female issues, such as fertility, independence, and protection. The Wine Moon works its magic in the area of love and relationships. Cast spells to discover your soul mate, find a lost love, or nurture a secret desire. The energy of Libra will bring balance to all magic cast at this time, and its energy promotes the very essence of love and sex. Cast spells now to promote healthy sexuality and to maintain or regain physical health of the reproductive system. October Blood Moon Ancestral magic is cast with the Blood Moon. Do magic now to communicate with family members who have passed, to connect with your ancestors and your heritage. Magic surrounding divination is relevant, it’s the perfect time. Cast spells for justice and balance, and to overthrow anything oppressive which may be blocking your path to success. Ambition is highlighted, use magic to increase the potency of your own, or cast magic to contain ambition that may have run amok. This is also the perfect time to step into the dark shadows and take advantage of the vibrations found there. The gray witch revels in the magic of the Blood Moon and in this season. November Snow Moon Free yourself of those things that bind you, bind those things you need freedom from. Cast spells for release, relief, and emancipation; but make sure that you are not unintentionally restricting someone else’s freedoms with your magic, your expectations, or your emotions-- such as jealousy. Remember, your thoughts are pure energy and can set magical vibrations into motion. Opposite energies are flying high during the Snow Moon. Use the vibrations generated from this energy to your advantage-- remember that “opposites attract”. Protection magic cast during this time is especially effective and potent. December Oak Moon Balance carefully the energy of the traditionalist and that of the free spirit. Cast magic to seek knowledge from your ancestors, or to contact your spirit guide; cast magic to temper loyalties, and to reveal true feelings. Use magic now to throw light on shady situations and to call upon the energy of male divinity-- the God. Magic for transitions are potent during the time of the Oak Moon. Work on long term projects; now is the time to put into motion spells that will come into fruition with the Spring Equinox.

How to Write a Spell
1. Find your intent
The first and most obvious step is to have your intention set beforehand. Otherwise, you’d be going into this process completely blind. What do you want to get out of this spell? Be as clear/upfront as possible and refer back to it as much as you feel is necessary. Take your time and consider this step carefully.
2. Research and gather your materials
This is likely the most challenging step, the usual research that comes with being a witch. You must base your materials around their correspondences and what you have around you. First think of the materials you want to use (usually 2-5 items), like crystals, herbs, candles, etc. When you find that, then move on to specific correspondences like amethyst, sage, a pink candle, etc. Really get creative and remember there is no wrong in witchcraft. Do what feels right and your spell will work best.
3. Put together the words to your spell
This could potentially be the hardest part if you aren’t very creative. You could skip this step, but words can be a powerful ingredient to your spell. Keep it simple and have some rhyme and rhythm to it.
4. Get the right timing
This part isn’t crucial to the spell, but it certainly adds a little kick to it. Research the correspondences of time and then just be patient.
5. Prepare yourself
Meditate on your intent, cleanse yourself and space, ground yourself, cast a circle, do anything that needs to be done. This is likely the most important step to follow, as it really depends on the state your in whether a spell works or not.
6. Preform the spell
You know what to do next; put it all together. I hope this blog helped!

Enchanting in Witchcraft
What is enchantment?
By definition, enchantment is, “the state of being under a spell; magic”. In witchcraft it is simply that, an item that is under a spell. Like any spell, it has an intention and the item is programmed under that. There are two parts to the enchantment of an item; programming intention and activation. Programming intention is pretty self explanatory, its your intent. Activation on the other hand is unique to the witch. Visualization of your chosen energy flowing into the item is the easiest way to enchant an item in my opinion, but the possibilities are endless.
How do I enchant items?
1. Cleanse/Charge the item you’d like to enchant first.
2. Have your intent in mind. What will you you program this item with?
3. Activate the item with whatever method you chose and the effects of the enchantment will begin.
4. The item carries out your intent and the charge lessens over time.
5. Go back to step one and the cycle continues.
Any tips?
- You may not have to cleanse/enchant every time you charge the item and the cycle continues
- Be mindful of the spell you want to use this item in
- There are no rights or wrongs in witchcraft

Manifestation in Witchcraft
What is manifestation?
By definition. manifestation is, “an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea”. In witchcraft and spirituality, this is about manifesting something new into your life through various methods. This of course relates back to the law of attraction. The law of attraction is the belief that, “positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life.” This means that whatever you focus on, you will manifest into your life. This is a huge part of spellwork for obvious reasons, so lets get a more in depth understanding of it.
How do I use manifestation?
There are many ways to practice manifestation in witchcraft. It could range from an advanced and complex spell to a simple affirmation. One is not more powerful than the other, it really just depends on the witch rather than the process. To use manifestation, you must first have your intent. When you have that, move on to visualization and practice positive affirmations. Once your intention is out there and you've built upon it, start taking steps towards reaching your end goal. Remember to give back to the universe and be open to new opportunity.
Why is it not working for me?
- You’re not putting all your trust into the universe. Sit back and let the manifestation come to you.
- You don’t practice shadow work. Something in your subconsciousness could be holding you back.
- You aren’t thankful for what you already have. Express gratitude at every chance you get.
- You aren’t specific enough. Remember to always have a clear intent in everything you do.
- You aren’t grounded properly. Keep yourself in the present moment.
- You don’t practice self love. This will impact your entire belief system.

Grounding and Centering in Witchcraft
What is Grounding?
The term grounding, sometimes called Earthing, means to recalibrate your energy. Essentially, the purpose of grounding is to shake off “excess” energy and ground yourself back in reality. It is about reconnecting to your space. Essentially, grounding helps us to connect with the Earth and makes us have a balanced and a established emotional state.
What is Centering?
The term centering means to anchor both spirit and mind, logic and emotion, physical reality and the ethereal world. Its about reconnecting to yourself so you can better put things in perspective. Being centered describes being in balance between these two seemingly disparate parts of ourselves. I helps us focus on the present, but not on a specific subject like meditation. It is simply being in the present.
When Should I Ground Myself?
When you feel:
Lost
Empty
Lonely
A longing for something unknown
Lacking energy
Uninvolved
General apathy
When Should I Center Myself?
when you feel:
Hyperactive and restless
Restless while sleeping
Overwhelmed by emotion
Self hatred
Unfocused
Spaced out
Forgetful
Examples of Grounding:
Sit in a body of water or tub
Eat something
A crystal of your choice
Drink a glass of water
Splash cold water on your face
Listen to the rain, the waves, the babbling brook
Feel the wind on your face
clap and rub your hands together
Deep breath in. Deep breath out. Repeat.
Feel the heat from a fire
Turn off the lights, light a candle
Meditate
Examples of Centering:
Cry
Laugh
Eat chocolate
Deep cleanse your space
Meditate
Take a walk
Drink tea
Take a nap
Pet your cat or dog
Practice self care
Visualization

Visualization In Witchcraft
What is visualization?
By definition, visualization is the “formation of a mental image of something”. Its the visual aspect of imagination, but to the witch it is more. Seeing something in one’s mind eye is not something that comes naturally to all on command, but you use it all the time. When you remember something, when you dream, when you daydream, and when you ponder the future, but doing it on command takes practice. Its an important tool in witchcraft. It let's you remember things, let's you anticipate happy things in the future, gives you the ability to worry, inspires solutions to problems that arise, gives you ideas, or how to do something more efficiently, allows you to tell other people about things that have happened to you, and makes you see things. Its an incredible tool, especially to the witch. Let’s dive into why that is, shall we?
Why is it important?
To the witch, visualization is using your mind to effect the outside world. To start off there are two kinds of visualization; outcome based and process based. Both are useful to the craft. One reason it is relevant is because it allows you to believe that the goals you have for yourself are possible and focus on that general purpose when thinking of the future. This circles back to intent; arguably the basses of all magick and the law of attraction itself. Speaking of intent, visualization works hand in hand with it in other ways too. This skill helps you be sure that your intent is the right one by visualizing all the possibilities. Upon visualization, you may get emotional from seeing the results of your efforts; your intention in the action of reaping rewards. Let that emotion charge your spell and make it more powerful. Feel.
You can’t visualize on command?
Let’s do a simple exercise. Let’s imagine a candle in great detail. Go somewhere where you can sit and focus in a place comfortable and safe. To start, imagine a candle right next to you. See the hot wax drip down onto whatever surface and the flame flicker. What color is the candle? See the light and how it casts shadows or reflects of something in the room. Smell it? what scent it it? Does that smell remind you of anyone or anything? Picture it for a moment before bringing your attention back to the candle. Stare at the flame. Doesn’t it look like its dancing? Imagine it to a beat. Its so in sync you can hear the beat of the drum. Now reach out to it, its slowly getting hotter. Be careful not to burn yourself. When you’re ready, blow out the imaginary candle. You did it !! You visualized it with only a little bit of help !! I’m proud of you.
When should I use visualization?
ALWAYS.
You are using it a lot the time without even noticing like I explained, so you know its importance. Right now is the time to practice. In witchcraft use can use visualization for many things. I will list a few common way off the top of my head.
Casting a circle
Astral projection
Dreaming
Cleansing
Finding intent
Enchanting
Banishing
Invoking
Charging
Divination
Spells
Energy work
Auras
and a whole lot more !!
How do I use visualization?
First, you must have intent, like so with everything else in your craft and in life in general. When you visualize, get all your senses involved. Make it feels real; let the vision come to you naturally and don’t force it. Just focus. Let yourself get emotional. Fully immerse yourself into what you're doing. You can see it, feel it, smell it, hear it, and move it. It is so real you feel like its actually happening. That’s it. You're visualizing.

13 Goals of a Witch
1. Know Yourself: Understand your thoughts and motivations and take stock of both your vices and virtues. Chose to define yourself, instead of having the world informing who you should be. 2. Know Your Craft: Knowledge is not just obtained from books and teachers. Study and practice the craft; learn through your own experiences. Honor and celebrate; listen to nature. From your own theories and practices. 3. Learn: Learning never ends. Look to books, look to nature, look within, and listen. Life is a journey and there will always be a new theory, technique or idea from which to glean knowledge: stay teachable. 4. Apply Knowledge with Wisdom: Use gained wisdom to temper your action and to make informed decisions. Make your intentions clear and be ready to accept responsibility for any outcome.
5. Achieve Balance: A balanced life is a good one; Embrace opposites. All of our efforts cannot be settled on one aspect. Take time to care for our emotional, spiritual, and physical self. Balance work with play; balance your diet and exercise and checkbook; magical and mundane intertwined: mental, physical, magical, and spiritual.
6. Keep Your Thoughts in Good Order: Thoughts manifest reality according to your intent and will before words even form. Magical energy is directed by intention and has an impact on all aspects of our lives: emotionally, mentally, spiritually, magically, physically.
7. Keep Your Words in Good Order: Words are bond. They are verbalization of thought and carry power to both wound or reward. They should always be treated as such.
8. Celebrate Life: Existence on this planet is a gift and enjoy every breath. It is in acknowledging the little and big, the trials and triumphs, weeping and rejoicing, pleasure and sacrifice. Without the bad, there cannot be the good. Live life to the fullest!
9. Attune with the Cycles: Experience nature and understand that we are part of it, not apart from it. Notice as we move through the year and attune yourself to these movements. Follow the lunar cycle, celebrate the wheel. Recognize each season through growing and resting.
10: Breath and Eat Correctly: “Your body is a temple.” Strive to achieve optimal health. Breathing aids in raising energy, focus, and stress relief. Wholeness also comes from taking care of oneself physically. Eating a proper diet will help to make our bodies healthier and live longer. Health aids in magical working and make mundane tasks easier. 11. Exercise the Body: Respect the body that is given and keep it in shape. Things will come easier along with extra confidence. A healthy body feels better both physically and emotionally. We live longer are less encumbered during mundane and magical activities.
12. Meditate: Good for the mind, body, and soul. More than just one form, it helps us form clarity, for both mundane and spiritual reason as it quiets and centers the mind. It allows us to focus the thought and will, reduces stress and helps with all tasks by being able to focus and think clearly.
13. Honor Deity: This is more important for those who work include a spiritual aspect in their practice: honor those deities through rituals and celebrations. Serve them well and perhaps, more importantly, be an honor to them thought example. By honoring them, we also honor ourselves and humans. They are present in every molecule.

Intention in Witchcraft
What is Intention?
Intention by definition is simply purpose. In witchcraft, intention is more than that. Its channeling magick in a certain direction. Its deciding what you want out of a spell or ritual, or even life in general. Its about asking the universe for something so you should be as clear and specific as possible. It is where most of the spell’s power comes from. A spell is a very powerful placebo that you create that is so powerful that if done correctly can manifest anything into your life. Its a skill that is developed over time. Although this is literally the bases of all witchcraft some could argue, it is often overlooked by witches. I think this is because it seems to basic, but you have to completely master the basics before you can more on to greater things. This is true for any area of life.
Why set an Intention?
Intention is important because without it spells would have no purpose and wouldn’t even work to begin with. It is important to communicate your desire to the universe in order for your spell to work. It is also important in the situation where you accidentally manifest something you do not want. This will save you time as to not waste a spell away just because you didn’t take the time to set your intentions. And of course, lets not forget the law of attraction and how relevant it is to your intent. Stay positive.
How do I Set a Clear and Powerful Intent?
To start the process, cleanse your mind. Do a brain dump of everything that is on your mind or meditate on your intention for a while. Even both if you are up to it. This is to prepare yourself for the spell itself. Once you have that intention in your mind, you can harness that power by making sure all your thoughts and feelings support that intention. That’s what will make your intention as strong as possible and therefore your spell will be as strong as possible. One way to strengthen you intention is to simply verbalize or write it. Make sure to include a time frame in your statement, as this combined with your desires is what makes intent. Another way is to experiment with rituals and exercises that really bring out your intent after it is verbalized or written. This is the spell work aspect of intention. And the final way to set a clear and powerful intention is of course practice. Try journaling exercises, meditations, talk about your intent with someone, and visualize your intent in any way you chose.
Is intention alone enough?
No. Intention alone is not enough to make your spells work, but it is a crucial first step that must be taken. You have to change you behavior too, before and after the spell is through. You must change your actions to comply with what your intentions are. For example, you do a financial prosperity spell, then you go out and work harder at your job. Those two actions combined is a powerful thing that will bring you prosperity. This also is a show of your values. Your thoughts combined with your actions is the magick in your spell.
