has anybody ever written a fic about jason time traveling back to the period just after his death? like for whatever reason he gets thrown back in time (maybe he's physically there, maybe it's more of a fly on the wall situation), but jason is there.

maybe he sees bruce cradle his body as he walks out of the warehouse ruins. maybe he arrives after and just gets to witness just how broken and unravelled bruce becomes.

he sees bruce almost beating joker to death before clark stops him.

he sees dick storming in, furious and hurt that bruce didn't tell him. furious that he didn't get to attend his funeral.

he sees when tim arrives and tries to keep bruce together by first trying to get dick to become robin again and when that doesn't work by becoming robin himself.

he sees alfred suggest the glass case standing as a memorial to him in the cave, sees him saying "a good soldier" and feeling like he got punched in the stomach. because it wasn't bruce, it wasn't bruce.

he sees dick beating joker to death because joker taunted him with jason's name while threatening tim. sees bruce resuscitate joker, not because he wants him to live but because he doesn't want dick to live with having killed someone.

just jason actually getting to witness the deep grief his family experienced after his death and making him see them in a new light. jason understanding them better.

but still believing that some people deserve to die, but he might understand why they don't want to be the ones to take that step

Whenever the Bats would complain about any of their tech malfunctioning, Bruce would definitely be the type of dad to go "Back in the days, I didn't even have that" (and of course he overdoes it) :

Dick : This grappling gun's jammed again !

Bruce : Be grateful. I used to scale buildings by hand with a hook and rope.

Dick : Yeah, yeah.

Tim : And risk another hour ? No thanks.

Batfam hide-and-seek hcs (because I'm bored and this popped into my head)

Bruce: Invisible to the naked eye... until you turn the lights on. I like to think he's gotten so used to blending into the darkness that, as Bruce Wayne, he can't hide any other way (we can all see you behind the curtains, Bruce)

Dick: Constantly moving. I feel like he follows whoever the searcher is. It's fun to him, stalking them around the house like a predator hunting prey. Everyone hates it. He finds it hilarious.

Jason: Strategic, calculated, the same spot every time (but in different rooms). When asked why it's always the same spot, he goes on about having the tactical advantage ("This is hide-and-seek Jason, you don't need 'tactical advantage'")

Tim: Almost always found last. Why? He hides in the first room. Most people run out of the room, searching everywhere else first, because who would hide right near the seeker? Tim. Tim would, and does, hide right there. Why run when there's perfect cover nearby?

Damian: Anywhere up high. I like to think he's like a cat, always in a high place (bonus points if he gets stuck and needs help getting down). The rafters, on top of cupboards, anywhere he can climb up to. He also has the advantage of being the smallest, and he'll squish himself into the smallest spaces (if he fits, he sits)

Alfred: Banned from hide-and-seek. He finds everyone far too quickly, and no one knows how. They only let Alfred help if the game needs to finish (because saying "the game's over, come on out" will never work. If you hear that, the seeker is lying, don't fall for it)

Headcannon that due to diligently monitoring the Wayne family’s media image, Alfred is chronically online, and as such, is constantly dropping slang into conversation like-

Batman: Alfred, what’s the update on the Arkham situation?

Alfred: *Ahem* Unfortunately sir, it is as they say- ‘we’re cooked’

Collective groans from Tim, Dick, and Jason over the coms

Batman: …Huh?

Jason: *muttering* I knew I should’ve stayed outa this one…

Damian: I don’t understand, what are we cooking?

Alfred: It’s giving ‘failure era’, sir-

Dick: Damn it!

Tim: We really are cooked

Damian: What does that -?

Alfred: It’s lowkey not-

Batman: In English Alfred. Please.

Batman being secretly a young father when the League is formed has a lot of potential. As the Justice League was originally created years after Robin was, it also works.

Firstly, because that means Batman has only even worked with a child, more so one he is raising. That's his first time having teammates that are adults like him. Which can easily lead to Batman talking to them like he would with a child, because that's what he knows. He is gentle parenting the Justice League, and he didn't plan to, that's just the only way he knows how to work as a team, by being a father. It can be really frustrating at time for his colleagues, because they aren't minors and he isn't their dad, but it would be so funny to watch.

Secondly, because that gives another meaning to Batman saying he's only a part-time member of the JL. Often (at least here, maybe the land of capitalism doesn't let y'all), parents change their work schedule from full-time to part-time, because they need more time to take care of their kid. So, not only it is because he wants to prioritize his city and his mission, but it's also because he needs to pick Dick up from school and play some board games with him. Of course, with how he protects his identity at first, his teammates don't know about the kid, but once they learn about it, it makes sense (especially because the original members don't have kids as old as Dick, if I'm not mistaken, so Bruce is the only parent at first).

The Lego Batman movie has a song that, if I'm not mistaken, plays on the credits. It's "I found you", and it's child Dick Grayson singing for Bruce. It's teeth-rotting wholesome and I'll prove this song fits ALL the batkids JUST with the chorus (and it'd be an incredible animatic):

"We were meant to be together"- Bruce being right there when Dick lost his parents, fate brought them together and formed the wonder duo.

"We've both been through some heavy weather"- Jason met Bruce by stealing the batmobile tires, little Jay has already been through a lot (and will go through the worst) and I don't even need to talk about Bruce. And yall know what happens regarding the Joker.

"It's all I've wanted for so long"- COME ONN this is literally Tim. He found out their secret IDs, he wanted to be robin and managed to do so, standing by Bruce's side when he knew he nedded it.

"A broken bone heals twice as strong"- Both Bruce and Damian were stiff and awkward in the beggining. Damian was so little and all that with Ra's and Talia happened and they both slowly healed together, still are.

"And I feel like we're the perfect team"- I'll admit I don't know much about the next kids as well as the first ones, but I'm sure Steph just- demanded Bruce to train her and they surprisingly turned out well, right?

"The greatest the world's ever seen"- Bruce and Cass being quiet and wearing all black and mixing perfectly with the shadows, please she's literally his daughter in every way asides from blood.

"And it proves that wishes do come true"- Again, sorry I don't know much, but Duke had fought together with all the robins before, right? Bruce had helped him and offered him to be his new protege. A new place beside Batman and unlike any other robin.

"'Cause you found me,"- Bruce taking them all in, one by one.

"And Batman, I found you."- All of them healing something inside Bruce, all of his kids there for him and making him turn into someone nothing like the person he was when he decided to become The Batman.

SHAFAFJHGAS COME ON IT'S PERFECT. It bothers me so much that I've only seen two or three videos regarding this song and whenever I see it, it's just Dick (don't get me wrong, I love him too much for my own good, but come on it fits so well). Someone, please please please make an animatic, draw this with the lyrics, a tiktok video, I don't know just please, anything, this is too perfect and I don't have the skills to recreate it💔
