I like this
"Embracing my off-season body"
This is a phrase that has really started to bother me. It’s usually said by bikini competitors once their season is over. They gain a little weight and are no longer super shredded and “stage ready.” Most of the time they’re still really lean. They may not have abs anymore. They put on a little body fat. But despite all of that they are “embracing” it.
Why does having a healthy, maintainable weight need justification? Hammering in the idea that this body is one you have in the “off season” makes it seem like it’s something that’s temporary, something that these girls will shed as soon as it’s time to compete again. Yea sure, some girls can have abs and be at a healthy maintainable weight, but most can’t. And that’s okay. Not having abs does not need to be justified by calling it “off season.”
These phrases are so damaging because they’re usually used by competitors with a wide audience. A lot of young, impressionable girls read them as they scroll through Instagram. They compare themselves. They may be young and healthy, but they read this phrase and think they’re only equivalent to an “off season” body, that they somehow should feel less fit because they don’t look like a competitor.
Unfortunately, the girls with the largest followings can control the narrative of the industry because of their influence and their reach. However, these girls are not without their own flaws - and that’s okay, they’re human beings. But with such a far reach they have a social responsibility to be aware of the repercussions their words can have on them minds of their followers. It’s time for the industry narrative to change.

Was looking back at my Camera Roll today and wanted to compare pictures from the start of this whole thing to the ones I took this morning. Wow.
Left picture was taken on January 6 this year. I think this was around my highest weight of 165. There’s almost a thirty-pound difference between these two pictures.

Feeling a bit run down this week, and on a strict diet i think it’s important that I keep myself healthy as possible!
If you’re able to have smoothies its a good add in. At the moment i just have it with water and its fine.
I personally prefer this taste over vital-greens any day!
