i'm watching the special, you know, from hsmtmts and that's the first thing i've ever seen from this show and i know i'm not going to continue watching because i'm already too attached to gina and nini and knowing they won't happen is devastating so no thank you i can't do this anymore

when it comes to criminal minds i'm usually like "oh jemily" and "damn how i love spencer reid, love of my life, the only man that is worth it" but goddammit how sad and distressing the end of season 4 is, and i'm not even talking about the pigs but the whole thing it's just so damn sad. kelly asking lucas to be calm and to put his hands up so they won't hurt him despite how much he hurt her, morgan's muted screams asking to stop shooting at him. knowing that lucas killed over 80 people but knowing so deeply that he truly deserved another chance, that he wasn't a monster. i bawl every time, like god i was just watching a show what the hell

(and like that's still not the end of the episode, there's still the hotch thing)

remember when jj told hotch, emily, and spencer about her pregnancy, well this is how i remember it (i literally just watched it)

first she's practically yelling at will to not say anything because she obviously didn't want to have that conversation with them right there

then she turns to look at hotch because, well, he asked what was going on but while telling them that she's pregnant her eyes are on spence, trying to gage his reaction because she knows he used to have a crush on her and doesn't want to break his heart... her eyes are on reid almost persistently, almost trying to avoid emily's gaze.

her eyes almost drift occasionally but she pulls them back to spencer, avoiding looking at emily's reaction, seeing anything, anything, on emily's face was too much... sadness, disappointment, or worse, indifference... it was too much, she couldn't do it, she couldn't even bare to see happiness in her face until she finished telling the news, and when she did, when she saw emily smiling at her and congratulating her she was relieved and went with the social script, accepted both of their congratulations hugs and went after hotch to tell him she wasn't hiding this from him, to reasure him that this wasn't a trust issue.

and then she tried not to think about emily's face, about emily's happiness, tried not to think about how she was a bit disappointed of not seeing any sadness or disappointment or grief on emily's face, she felt terrible for feeling disappointed... stupid crush... of course emily would be happy for her, they are friends, friends, her friends would obviously be happy for her.

she brushes away the knowledge that emily doesn't even blink, she brushes away the knowledge of emily's perfect pokerface, she knows that any sadness or disappointment emily might feel she would keep to herself, it'll never show on her face, jj brushes all of that away, she's not delusional, emily is simply happy for her, she's a good friend.

how many jemily fanfics can I reasonably write? like I know I lack discipline and motivation but that's not what I'm talking about... like within canon, is it too much to write about every single way jemily could've gone?

like the one where jj and will never happened

and the one where they actually broke up in miami? because when will told her that he wouldn't have cared that his friend was gay because he loved him and wanted him to be happy she realized that she didn't have to hide either and she could be gay

and the one where they don't break up in miami and when emily tells her she should go for will jj does because she thinks her crush on emily is pointless and hopeless but emily told her to go for will because she thought her crush on jj was hopeless too

also the one where will actually dies, remember emily trying to get the bomb off will? well this is the one where jj begs emily to leave, "please Emily, I can't lose you both. I can't lose you both."

and the one where will lives but the fear of losing him is as strong as the fear of losing emily so jj doesn't get married because she's too confused

and also the one where once jj hallucinate that emily comes to save her and when emily actually does jj starts to realize she has some unresolved feelings about emily

and the one with weekend visits to Paris and late night calls that set the perfect situation for them to realize how much they need each other

the one where on a drunken night out they have sex (because the cheating trope cannot be missing from here, I'm sorry) and the both say it's a mistake even though emily is thinking that the mistake is not doing it sooner and jj feels bad about cheating on will but she's starting to think that maybe being with will is the mistake but they say it's a mistake because they work together and it's all way too complicated and even if it wasn't and even if they start dating they wouldn't be able to work together anymore and breaking up the team is selfish and jj is married after all so it has to be a mistake and they have to take it back and they have to be 100% professionals and it's killing them both

and the one where jj ends it with will and they do start secretly dating but of course the whole team notices there's something going on with them

and the one where they don't start dating and everything is too much so when the team kinda breaks up they are relieved but then when the team gets back together they realize that their feelings are as strong as ever

and of course the one occurring during evolution, where there's stuff going on with will and jj and jj realizes she cannot longer pretend she isn't still madly in love with emily

those are the ones on the top of my head and I feel like each one is necessary but... is it too much?

Suzanne collins wrote a trilogy where a main media propaganda strategy was to market a horrific act of violence as a love story to distract ppl and then it got adapted into a box office breaking movie and ppl made it all about the love triangle. so then since they didn’t get the point the first time Suzanne collins wrote a prequel story about the main dictator and she makes it so that you as a reader want it to be a genuine love story so badly even tho it’s so very clearly not and instead feels extremely unsettling to make her point even more meta which then gets adapted into another box office breaking film and now ppl are making romantic snowbaird tik toks. do u think she’s gonna write another book that’s somehow even more blatant or just give up and start executing ppl? hard to say but I wouldn’t blame her for the second one
