Welp, another gay book making me scream over two dumbasses at two in the morning. Luc and Oliver are two dumbasses who CLEARLY love each other but, again, are two dumbasses and I love them. I should get a reward for not yet waking my parents with the amount of times I’ve made loud, undignified noises while reading gay books

I don’t think words can describe how passionately I love Baz Pitch. He is one of the best book characters ever and I can’t get over it. Edgy, scary vampire on the outside, but on the inside he’s soft and sweet and hopelessly in love with his roommate who he thinks is straight?? He feeds off of rats because he doesn’t want to kill people?? He’s only comfortable with eating around Simon because Simon thinks his fangs are wicked cool and isn’t afraid of him?? He saves dragons because he doesn’t think they deserve to be killed??

I love Tyrannus Bastilton Grimm-Pitch with all my heart and I actually smiled happily whenever I turned the page and it was back to Baz’s POV

Welcome <3

Sooo I made this blog purely because I want a place to rant and talk about the books I’m reading. I only got back into the hobby of reading last July, so bear with me because I don’t have a lot of books read so far. Also, I’m currently in the process of writing my own book, so I’ll be posting about that, too! I should probably start off with some of the basics:

What types of books do I read?

Keep on mind that most of the books I read are LGBTQ+. If it’s romance, you’re safe to bet it’s LGBTQ+. Heterosexual romance novels just aren’t my thing. So, what genres and tropes are my favourites? They are:

Fantasy

Enemies to lovers

Royalty

Forbidden love

Horror/Thriller

Mystery

Romance (again, only if it’s queer)

Forced proximity

Secret relationship

Vampire/Creature x Human

Grumpy x Sunshine

There are a few more that I enjoy a lot, but these are the tropes and genres I enjoy the most. Some might be slipping my mind at the moment, though.

What format do I read in?

Typically, I read physical novels. The only times I read digitally are when I’m reading fanfiction (and I will not be talking about fanfiction on this blog unless I’m really passionate about it.) Most of my books are paperbacks due to pricing of paperbacks vs hardcovers, but if it’s the only option for a book, then I will get hardcovers. I love hardcovers but they’re so expensive :’)

Also, I sometimes read comic books and mangas. I’m just starting to ease my way into anime, but there’s only one manga series that has taken my interest: Death Note. My favourite anime, Sk8 The Infinity doesn’t have a manga yet, but I will sure as hell be getting and reading the mangas for Sk8 once they’re published.

Honestly, anything goes on this blog if it pertains to books. There might be little ramblings about the current book I’m reading, or previous books I’ve read, I’ll be reblogging memes, and also I’ll be posting some reviews! I have a Goodreads account where I write my reviews (I’ll provide a link at the end of this post) so I’ll copy and paste them here as well. I’ll also probably be posting updates about my own book!
