Thank you for asking! And I also want to thank all of ya who responded to this post. I wasn't sure at first but the more I see and get questions like this, the more I want to share. So I will do it. It might be a while more because currently working but I'll make the breakdown posts about Elle and V'trix together and then the persona, "Evie".

Just not a long post altogether...i dont wanna do that...tumblr might riot if I talk absolutely everything about them in one go...x-x

Weird Question

Hi all, I haven’t been uploading or reblogging in a while (but in a moment, I’ll be reblogging some fantastic Animorphs fanart for you all to see and love. This is still an Animorph blog) mostly because had my focus on another fic in another fandom and progress on my current Animorphs one is slow.

But I had been thinking of making a post talking about my two OCs, V’trix and Elle, in a bit more detail. I have many ideas, even art plans to show them but always held them back cuz I’m still in the current fic (and some thoughts are spoilers for future things). But with it being so long, I want to just share about them. Talk about them, be like any creator who wants to talk about their OCs. But I also have a fear it’d be another too long post you guys might get bored of X’D (and I won’t blame ya. I can zone out too). Plus, I know not everyone likes ocs, hence why I’m making this post.

So going ask this to you guys who have been following Sario Effect: would you like to know more about these two? See a breakdown in their characters or something small? Just fun/interesting stuff about a Controller and her Yeerk friend (excluding a few secrets I’ll have to hold back). Maybe some pictures/concept too. Let me know you’d like that.

Haha, that’s an interesting question. Sure I don’t mind answering that.

V’trix is a name that she created herself with Elle’s help. So fun fact. V’trix is actually audiophile; through a host’s ears, she likes many sounds, music, how words sound like and so on. She likes even more certain parts of a word being pronounced.

After she was outcast as a criminal at the same time Elle first got infested by her and discarding her Yeerk name (it’s also been redacted in the Yeerks’ database, showing their complete shunning of her in Yeerk society), it was Elle who proposed giving her a new one. Or else how would she address the Yeerk without a name? Elle basically gave her a list of names to pick from but for some didn’t ‘sound’ pleasing to her or only certain parts of a name did. V’trix liked the V sound and liked the first part of the name, Trixie. So she just decided to combine what she liked together.

Hence her true name, V’trix.

Doesn’t sound that fantastic right off the bat but that’s how it went.

Hello everyone another chapter patch announcement, the next ten chapters are finished, uploaded on both AO3 and FFN. Making this the second quarter of the whole story done. Like before, there will be a short break before the next quarter comes along so I hope you’ll enjoy the story until then!

Part 1 of 2 pieces, Elle, the Chinese-American delivery girl Controller from The Sario Effect. A complete redesign on her from her old one. A looooooot of work with a crappy lagging photoshop program... I really should stop using it. Elle is just your typical (melodramatic) girl: helping her family restaurant while into heroes from 90s cartoons and comics, and photography. She’s got no secrets. And even if she did, she would only have two.

Ok so as I’ve mentioned in the past I’ve never actually read Animorphs, so I’m literally a fake fan, but I found this post and was intrigued enough to give this design a shot. I also used the fan wiki for reference. Probably the biggest change I made was making the hooves mandibular instead of just… absorbing grass… because that strikes me as a really inefficient way to meet your energy requirements as a large herbivorous animal. It was also fun trying to turn fingernails into teeth– I tried to imply an evolutionary history where the six limbs were derived from mouthparts, with similarities between the hands and feet, and the arms remaining in sort of a jaw position.

Hellow all, next 5 chapters have been added for beta-reading, making 15 chps in total.  As mentioned above, you have the option to comment/suggest changes to the fic. Also I’ll be opening a poll soon as I’ve noticed I’ve not gotten any feedback since the last chps. I wanna know that if so far that the progress is alright that it doesn’t need any more major editing that I could start uploading the chapters on FFN and AO3. I’ll leave it your call if so far this fanfic has been going well or not.

Summary: It was supposed to be a normal Saturday afternoon. We deserved a break after everything we’ve been through. Then out of the blue, a kid bumped into us with a strange device. A Yeerk device. And the Yeerks want it back from her. We don’t know what’s going on. What that device is. Or how this Controller is connected to everything. The only thing Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Ax, Marco and I do know is that she might have the answers we need. And she might actually be more dangerous than Visser Three himself…

Since my note regarding my fanfiction writing, I’ve re-evaluated what I wanted for my story idea: a disabled Host with a Yeerk, and reedited the entire story of the Sario Effect thanks to several peoples’ help. I do wanna give a small apology that “here we go again! Another version of this one fic I’ve made” and honestly, I feel the same as you do. This is like the fifth version and I’ve been pulling my hair wondering why on Earth did I not just make this version from the beginning. 

So considering this has gone through versions, by all means, wreck this piece with all the constructive criticism to the ground. I want your harshest, honest feedback to make up for it. I wasn't thinking of showing something work in progress but the silhouettes came out nicely so I thought of sharing them.

Anyhow for context, I'm working on a new cover (which...it's for a complete-revamp fanfic not one of the original books, sorry about that.), hence I'm attaching the images I'm working on that with these silhouettes so you can see where I'm aiming for. But eh, not the meat of this post for you guys. So yeah, look at the first image up there! Animorphs! There you go.

I actually do have plans to take Ax's design I have there and upsize it in a better version after this cover is finished.

(also yes, Jake's morph got no stripes yet but this was strictly silhouette-drawing so what can I do :Y)

A Fanfic and Blog Apology

There shouldn’t be any alarm. I’m not ending anything. I wanted to give an apology in regards to the haitus for both this blog and my fanfiction and I will be putting this apology for my Pretender retelling fic.

When I started this blog, this was for a concept I had wanted to build on in my fanfics - as well as alongside making this an Animorphs blog. I had written a fic based on that concept but found myself overwhelmed with too many ideas that made it difficult to continue that I decided to step back and change my structure. Which led to the Pretender retelling, which I will not deny, was a fun and interesting ride to do. However, I still fell into some faults I did for my first fanfic by bringing back some of those overwhelming ideas that I led readers to confusion, as shown in recent comments.

That was why I haven’t updated for a year - because my readers didn’t deserve that from me. For the amount of support the Animorphs fandom has given for both this blog and my writing, I owe you guys more than spinning you in circles with the direction I was taking in my works. I owe you a better blog than what has been here, an abandoned blog because I felt I didn’t know what I wanted to do.

It’s been a year. I’m slowly trying to get back to things. I’ve even decided to start from scratch on that one concept and worked on cutting out the fat to give the concept I wanted to show you guys, without the complicated ideas I intentionally chained it to. And above all, give you as much Animorphs for this blog as possible, even bringing back my artwork. There are still huddles I need to figure on my own to make this a reality because I don’t want to give you a half-given answer. I want to deliver my all this time for the new year, as best as I can.

I apologise to you guys and I hope to do right for you and the community - to take away that confusion from my writing and to bring forth a new blog again.
