Spidey Zine By Hannah Blumenreich
Hello, everyone! Hope you are all excited for the upcoming release of Spider-Man: Homecoming this July! I know that I for one am! So, in anticipation of the newest entry into the MCU staring featuring the original web-slinger I decided to look for some  Spider-Man based webcomics and found one that I really enjoy.
Today I bring to you 4 pages from the series Spidey Zine which was created by Hannah Blumenreich. Spidey Zine is a collection of Spider-Man fan comics all created by Hannah, with each story focusing on Peter Parker’s Spier-Man throughout various points in his superhero career. The story I chose to highlight is called  Spidey Walk Home and it shows us Spider-Man living up to the “Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man” name.
Also, if you enjoyed this, be sure to check out Hannah’s other work as well as support her on Patreon. As she said on her Patreon account, being a freelance professional means that her source of income isn’t always reliable. So, if you like what you see and can help her out by kicking her a few bucks, be sure to.

Charmy's Army - The Comic Strip By Davy Jones
Today’s comic of the day is a series by the name of Charmy’s Army. The series was created by Davy Jones and follows a troop of army ants and a monkey. Charmy’s Army follows characters Charmen “Charmy” Packy, who is the leader of his group with a dynamic personality. Francine “Frenchy” French the lovable airhead with  a twisted and vivid imagination. Weaver Wood who is the most level-headed out of the group. And then there is Flimp the Chimp, who, as the name the suggests, is a monkey in an army platoon full of ants.
Reading the series as well as the character bios one thing is clear, Davy Jones has a lot of respect for classic comic strips such as Garfield and Calvin And Hobbes. I also wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out that Davy Jones served in the military at some point in his life. He shows a lot of respect towards the army while at the same time maintaining a light-hearted feel although out the series.
Davy Jones is also a really yak anger artist and sells parody covers featuring the cast of Charmy’s Army So if you, want to purchase some of his artwork check out his store!

Modern Home Alone By Jen Lewis
Today, I am glad to bring an insightful yet short, webcomic story called Modern Home Alone by Jen Lewis. Modern Home Alone comes to us by way of a Buzzfeed article written by Jen Lewis. “15 Reasons The Plot Of “Home Alone” Could Never Happen Today’ reimagines Home Alone as a modern day movie.
Jen relays key moments in the movie where the addition of modern technology would have easily resolved a lot of the issues Kevin and family encountered. From searching for fake news stories to googling the proper ways to pack a suitcase, Jen envisioned almost every scenario getting resolved by technology. Here are some of my favorites:
10. The McCallisters would send an Uber to take Kevin to the airport so he could be put on the next flight to Paris.
11. Kevin would have access to Netflix, etc., so he wouldn’t be limited to Angels With Filthy Souls as the only option to scare the pizza guy and the criminals.
12. Kevin would use the “special notes” box to tell the pizza guy to leave his delivery on the stoop.
It should also be noted that Jen Lewis is also a writer/illustrator who started working at BuzzFeed since 2013 and has even illustrated the official Breaking Bad coloring book. So, if you’re interested in her work, be sure to contact her.

Story Time With @lightsintheskye
Link And The Links AU: Circle Of Tri (Force)
Hello everyone and welcome to another installment of Story Time where we chronicle a webcomic story in its entirety. This week we have a short and funny story featuring the many depictions of Link and his many forms. The story, titled Link and The Links AU: Circle Of Tri is a part of the Link and The Links series created by Tumblr cartoonist and illustrator Lights In The Skye.
Eash new Link and The Links story follows one of the many iterations of Link as they encounter and interact with various other characters from the Legend Of Zelda series and this story is no different. The newest member to be added to the tribe, Wild, is given the rundown on the kingdom in which they inhabit by Red. He also learns of an area in the kingdom which he must never travel to and for good reasons too.
One of the more remarkable things about this series is how Lights in The Skye is able to give each individual Link their own unique personality outside of their initial appearance. Not only that, Link has his own unique nickname too!

Story Time With Trump MAGA by @manlyspirit
Part 1
Hello, everyone. Today I have a special treat for you all for our Story Time series. I don't need to remind you all of last week's Presidential election results, right? As everyone around the world already knows but, this coming Inauguration Day, Friday, January 20th, Donald Trump will be sworn into as President of the United States Of America. Needless to say, this news came as a complete an utter shock to over half the nation. In fact, the entire Presidential campaign has been nothing but an oddity. And nowhere is that more apparent than the internet.
During the entire Presidential campaign seemed as though no matter where you went on the internet you almost couldn't escape the any of the number of memes that captured just how truly "out there" this election has been. Today, however, I present to you all one of the best examples of just how much this campaign has been nothing short of a spectacle.
Trump MAGA was created by a Tumblr artist who goes by the name Manlyspirit. Created after the second presidential debate, Trump MAGA serves as a parody of almost everything that has happened and transpired between both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. This comic is not only comedic in its nature but its also largely inspired by Akira Toriyama's classic series Dragonball Z as well as Araki Hirohiko's series Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Hell, halfway through the comic, Donald Trump strikes one of the many iconic poses seen in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
So sit back, relax and get ready to relieve the later half of the Presidential election again this time, captured in the stylized form of a highly intensive manga known as, Trump MAGA.

Bearmageddon By Ethan Nicolle
It’s Like The Zombie Apocalypse But With Bears
Imagine that one day every bear in the world decided to declare war on the entire human race! We’re talking brown bears, black bears, polar bears and koala bears, maybe? Bearmageddon comes from the creator of Axe Cop, Ethan Nicolle who is the writer and the illustrator for the series while Kailey Frizzell & Noah Maas handle the colouring for the series.
Bearmageddon starts off with the introduction of one the most frightening creatures ever imagined! A bear crossed with an octopus!
Bearmageddon follows every-day twenty-somethings getting caught up in an all-out war on mankind by grizzly bears. Volume 1 is out right now and available for free to read in its entirety online at Bearmageddon.com. It’s hard to say where Bearmageddon will go but when you take into consideration the type of talent behind it such as Ethan Nicolle I can only assume that it will be insane! I mean, based on the promotional art alone which features a bear with a gattling gun on its back, a bear with bat wings and octobear.

@blackmudpuppy By Ethan Kocak
Today on Story Time we have one of my favorite stories I’ve read in a long time. Black Mudpuppy by Ethan Kocak. Today we will get to see the origin of an ancient Aztec God who will become one of the greatest anti-heroes ever created, Xolotl as well as the start to one of the funniest adventures written as he teams up with Simon, who runs a pet store. Together they will go on to tackle adversaries such as evil mimes and dinosaurs.
So enjoy as we watch and see Xolotl try and reclaim his former glory by appealing to Quetzalcoatl and learn a thing or two about not being a power hungry asshole.

Life With Kurami By Deon Parson
Today I am happy to bring you a heart-warming, slice of life comic strip series about a single mother named Ana and her infant daughter named Kurami called, Life With Kurami.
Life With Kurami was created by Deon Parson and is featured in The Herald Bulletin, a local newspaper that operates in Anderson, Indiana. Despite the fact that Life With Kumari is mainly newspaper based comic strip, series creator Deon Parson still posts a lot of the series online and by doing so, has helped bring the series to an even larger fan base. Which you can see for yourself if you check out the series Facebook page
Life With Kumari manages to be both funny and at times, a little sad. Even so, it never loses its charm. It also manages to capture the life of someone who is a single parent.
Regarding as to what Deon hopes to accomplish with his series it simple really. To make people smile! In one of his Facebook posts, Deon bought up his goal with the series and what he wanted to accomplish with The Herald Bulletin’s editor, Scott Underwood during a meeting they had.
"A few months ago, during one of our lunch meetings, Editor Underwood said this to me:
“I’ve been reading your strip for over a year now, and I got to know: what is your goal with “Life With Kurami?””
I had to sit and think for a second. I told him “To make people smile.”
“Really? Most cartoonists say “To make people laugh.””
“I know, but I’m not that funny of a person, and I know that I never will be. Though, I do know I’m able to give people good vibes and to put a little bit of positivity into their lives, which the comics page is kinda meant to be for, I believe.
I know that LWK can have a much broader friendbase if I focus more on just the happiness and love within the strip rather than just comedy all the time. Friends will come because they want to see Ana, Kurami and Zane, and anyone they meet rather than come for the punchlines.
Plus, it’s a lot easier for me to make someone smile than it is to make them laugh. So whether they smiled because they thought a strip was heartwarming, or actually found a strip funny, or just overall adorable, then that means we’re doing our job. And being able to do something that makes a person’s day a little bit brighter, even by just a little bit, is a dream job to me.”
“Deon, I have to say, you’re doing exactly that.”

@pearshapedcomics By Kevin Kuramura
You Can’t Live With Out Friends
Pear Shaped Comics is a weekly web comic series that was created by Kevin Kuramura. Every Tuesday Kevin shares a new creation from his series with us and each one is a new delight into his creatively demented mind. Kevin details how he got the name of his series after the British saying which is the same name.
“British use of the term “pear-shaped,” which describes something that has gone horribly wrong. If you prefer to think of a rich, sonorous voice or a big booty lady or even a literal pear you go right ahead.”
There are different styles of humor in the series. From surrealist humor too, at times, dark humor. There is a lot to love about Pear Shaped Comics so feel free to check bout Kevin’s series.

Deep Dark Fears By @deep-dark-fears
Looking for your daily dose of fear? Then look no further than Fran Krause's Deep Dark Fear. This webcomic series features some incredible artwork. Fran's art style doesn't look as though it would lend itself well to horror but manages to create some really creepy imagery.
The beauty of Deep Dark Fears comes in the way Fran's blends his art-style with the subject matter to create eerie, short 4 panel stories that play on the fears that  a lot of people might share. Some of these stories play off small fears and anxiety that will populate our minds whenever we see or do something that might trigger them. Whereas some of the other stories in the series came from other people's personal experience that made their hair stand up on the back of their necks.
Despite the horror overtones, at its core, Deep Dark Fears still manages to at times, always leave room in place for some light comedy aspects. And yes you read that right, other people have submitted their own tales of deep dark fears and you can too. If you feel as though you haven't experienced your own deep dark fear you can still submit a story to Fran. Also, you can purchase a collection of Deep Dark Fears from a number of different places such as Amazon.com.
