Communal Sketchbook

Everyone at my table, including myself, is a doodler. We use a whiteboard for most of our combat encounters and it gets full with cool little drawings very quick. It makes me sad that I have to erase them every time I need to reset it, so I bought a blank sketchbook for all of us to draw in instead so that it lasts longer and we have a cool little memento to share. We pass it around the table And everyone puts their ideas, scribbles and notes, into it, we even scrapbook sometimes. Even if your players don’t draw, I think it would be a fun idea to have a notebook for every table to log their journey in together.

Sethos cane weapon art

Lupetuetian justices traditionally carry canes or staves not only to emphasize their authority but to use as a tool and sign to silence the court or signal for things. Many of these had weapons inside them for the Justice to defend themselves should things get heated. This was most commonly a thin sword or dagger, often very ornately made as they were almost never used.

Arch-justice Sethos Vargi, though having a large collection of these items (along with various other artifacts of similar purpose) decided to create his own take on the ancient symbol and produced his signature cane, a deadly and flexible weapon that can take many forms from flail to axe to sword to spear (and even a massive hammer) powered by strong drakenstone and made from the best materials his connections could provide. Aside from the glowing energy blades this device also has a geo disrupter built into its base allowing it’s user to temporarily defy Ashiya’s gravitational principles. (Or made a really cool invisible umbrella!)

Young Argus Eraffa

Argus is a Voyant, a role similar to a seer though aseeing the future works very different in thissetting because the future does not exist there is only the past and present, you can’t just jump forwards in time you have to wait until the present catches up. Though are several forms of divination with more spiritual execution, lupetuetian divination revolves around predicting likely outcomes through odds using magical computing devices, algorithms and their heavily modified brains to calculate those odds. Voyants are also sometimes just used as living calculators or sentient computers to process large amounts of information.

Argus doesn’t yet have the allseeing curse placed upon him and he has not yet had a hand in the immortality experiment, he is not yet the lord of house Eraffa he is simply an artificer attempting to stop problems before they occur.

Kael

I’m not all that great at drawing anthropomorphic characters but I think I’m getting better!

Kael is part of the Ma’at bloodline, specifically a modified bio-construct (humunculi with extra steps) made by Hosanna Ma’at, Pharoah of Garaji quite possibly one of the most powerful magic users of all time. Upon being considered a failed experiment, he was deactivated. He sat inactive for many years until the death of his creator removed the lock on his functions. He had a hard time adjusting to modern society and developed a rough and defensive personality as a result but Shenanigans with the party did ensue upon first meeting and he has been an ally ever since.

Arlos Half-Spirit, steward of Pan

Arlos is half spirit as the name would suggest and shares some of the same abilities as fey spirits do. He plays into the aesthetic aspect of his region very well and is a very warm and friendly presence that can be relied upon for support. Some of the party also comes from this region and have a connection through backstory to him. They helped him save his hometown and his master in the first chapter and he has been an ally ever since.

My “chapter system”

I am a huge fan of episodic storytelling and I wanted to make each elemental region of my dnd campaign to be as unique and diverse as possible to really drive home the fact that you are in a fundamentally different part of the world, so in designing the environments, encounters and characters that the party would interact with I also divided (most) of these regions to have their own distinct smaller stories. This is because I have a much larger party than what is normal and not everyone can be here for every single session we do with these stories tying back into the main plot, reinforcing the larger mystery while keeping everyone invested. There are about two to three important npcs per region that are essential to their respective stories and all of the allies the party has made over the course of their previous adventures can help them out. overall this type of system is something I think should be more common for longer campaigns, the chapters and their smaller narratives are almost like arcs in a tv show and usually don’t last longer than 10 sessions they are also good for keeping track of events and just like a book might have, our session notes have a chapter index which makes it very easy to remember what you did and where you are, Ashiya is the single b I feet campaign I’ve ever run so while no tools are perfect, this one certainly helps.

these chapters are not usually rigid either and are only started and finished by the players though some events are set in stone the moment the quest is picked up by virtue of the party being there.

welcome to my blog, I post all sorts of things most pertaining to my interests, like art, voice work and writing. I am a voice actor, dungeon master, artist and someone who just wants to have fun doing the things I like!

now, for something serious, I will not be answering a question for myself or a character if I do not feel it should be answered. For example any nsfw or if it’s just nasty/mean spirited in general. Do not spam me or try to push anything you will not get a response.

I do not have a consistent schedule for tumblr so it might be a while until something is answered, voiced or drawn. I’m a busy guy, I have work to do and I try to make room for my hobbies where I can, while sad that’s just the way it is, so don’t send the same ask over and over or dm me about when is going to be answered.
