I have a question, what’s the logic behind being an endo? Google doesn’t really answer anything in a helpful way but as someone who is neither an endo nor someone with DID, I don’t get how someone could supposedly develop something akin to DID but without trauma??? Like it goes against everything currently known about dissociating to that degree and the disorder simply doesn’t work the way they’re portraying it. And I just don’t understand the reasoning. Not trying to stir up a debate I’m just genuinely curious as to your perspective

You can’t be a system without trauma, that’s exactly the issue with people claiming that endos exist

Being a system is caused by intense, repeated trauma during early childhood that causes your undeveloped personality to fragment off into separate conscious parts. Therefore if you have no trauma, you’re not a system

Endos do not exist because there’s no such thing as being a system without having severe childhood trauma

and as it turns out, there was no recent switch, and i was infact not [alter], but instead, [alter #2], and i spent almost an entire day thinking i was [alter].

remember that systems do not choose who they split!

having alters from problematic sources is okay! it's no one's fault; yours or theirs. do not shame alters for having problematic sources, whether it's insys or outsys. they have feelings, too — and deserve to be treated as any other alter.
