I'm so happy about Kieran! It's always hard to imagine any one actor as Caesar because they haven't undergone hours in the makeup and costume department yet, so most we can do is watch their previous performances.

But I'm delighted, because it does confirm my long-standing thoughts and ideas on Caesar that a re-cast would have sternly went against—and the fandom was sternly in favour of.

I'm curious what Kieran will bring to the table and what twist he might give the character. My hopes aren't too high on a less bootlicker Caesar as he's simply meaner in this one than the trilogy, but I will happily wait and find out what spin we will get.

That said, holy shit, my friend Lily talked with Nina Jacobson during the filming of TBOSAS and mentioned how she had fancast Kieran Culkin for Caesar so. The influence~
