Truth be told... I haven't taken before pictures of myself in a while. I thought things were going great. Then, something happened. I got sick, it laster for a long time (weeks) and then I let that become my excuse. Then my anxiety started increasing, and then the darkness of depression was seeping in. I was heading for a not so good place, and I couldn't stop. I didn't want to be like that. To feel like that. . . And then there I was. Like I was in a dark room with no windows. Shadows of where I want to be danced in my mind. I could see myself, my happy self, but I was stuck. Just standing there. Alone. Watching the world go by merrily. . . Someone asked me what I was feeling. And I said.. like a bunch of scribbles in my head. It's just all jumbled up. . . Well, I'm feeling like I'm coming out of the darkness. But the anxiety is still there. The internal stress from my fear of failing (in so many aspects of my life) is still there. And while some people can take that and use it as motivation, it does not work that way for me. If I don't maintain control of it, it overwhelms me. . . So here I am. Starting TOMORROW I am going to put serious effort in me. I took these photos because I look AWFUL. I look so horrible and I hate it and I want to change it. #tbt The picture on the left is when I bought this dress in August. I liked it, but haven't worn it. Until today. The picture on the right is today. I've really fallen away from all the good habits I created. I have allowed schedules, holidays and family sicknesses be my excuses. I am still trying to eat healthier and drinking my shakes daily, but it's the exercise that I've let slide. So when I put this dress on today.. I felt amazing. And energized. And motivated!
