Can anyone practice viinhalism or is it something you have to like be born into? Sorry that I have so many questions lol I just friggin love to learn about religions. So uh thanks for putting yourselves out like this for me.

Hey since Mod Flug is at school rn I thought I would get on and answer this (I should be taking a break from the blog lmao but these asks make me happy so)

Anybody can practice Viinhallism, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, how you were raised, what your identities are, etc

I’m a panromantic, demi-pansexual, nonbinary trans man with autism, schizophrenia, DID and a FUCK ton of other disorders, plus my parents tried hard to raise me Christian but it just wasn’t what I believed in

So like, yeah, basically anybody can be a Viinhallist, but if you know Viinhallist beliefs and culture, there’s absolutely no place for any LGBTQA+ phobes, racists, ableists, TE//R//Fs, Ra//dfe//ms, etc. Our gods are extremely diverse themselves with genders, sexualities, skin tones and more, so they don’t take kindly to them

Like maybe what are the rules that you gotta follow( like how in islam things are halal or Haram) and maybe about the gods/esses that you worship? I can always narrow it down further but I just wanna know everything

(Hope you don’t mind me answering this one, sorry I took so long, I got anxious!)So in the Viinha religion, there aren’t really “rules”, more like guidelines? Like… you know, being kind, being open-minded and not being judgemental of others. It’s a pretty flexible religion because every person is different and in a different situation.For instance, mod Black Hat and I can’t celebrate holidays properly yet and to the gods, that’s ok because there’s reason for it.Now I’ll be honest, I don’t remember much about the gods and goddesses right now besides some of the names and what they’re “in charge” of because I have a terrible memory, but I worship Tryfero! He’s the god of love, humanity and gentleness. Besides him, there are a lot of gods and goddesses, even some genderless higher powers, too. To worship them, followers would wear a pendant that is the representing color(s) or symbol of the god or goddess they’re worshiping. Tryfero’s representing color is pink so my pendant is pink! A proper pendant has been blessed by the god you wish to worship and all you have to do for that is pray with it and ask the god to bless it for you. On the topic of praying, you’re not required to do that very often, either, just on holidays unless you choose to do it more often.Also on holidays, we don’t celebrate Halloween traditionally, but if you choose to, it’s not a religious thing, just something you’re doing for fun. And we don’t create Christmas either, but we have a holiday that can be celebrated the exact same way but it lasts a whole week!That’s about all I can remember right now, but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
