interesting shit that happened today
* by our war water jar we found two dead spiders and a dead hornet, which we added to the jar
* figured out after much research that our oracle cards are probably possessed? either that or it’s two spirit guides but one is a kid so. aa
* said oracle deck is apparently so steeped in That’s Mine that my friends were afraid to touch it for a solid forty-ish minutes after i gave them my blessing to touch it
* angel numbers keep showing up. got a good few 333s today, which is interesting
* did a group tarot reading with my friends for kicks. three of the four of us drew (in order) a pentacles card, a swords card, and then two of those three pulled a major arcana card. coincidentally, both were the most known to all of us—the fool and the tower.

fun fact. when a couple of my friends saw my oracle deck today they looked like they’d been punched in the face and i was like “what’s wrong” and they both backed away and one said “that deck is yours right?” and i was like “yeah” and they said “yeah. it feels VERY yours” and i was confused so my partner (the other person in this situation) explained that the cards felt like if anyone besides me touched them something bad would happen
and then the deck, when made to do a reading for a stranger, immediately pulled the Sex Card (i will not elaborate)

this is the deck in question

i love making war water it’s so fucking gross. like. vinegar. black salt. curse ashes. spanish moss. pins. needles. nails. spit. cayenne pepper. red peppercorn. hot sauce. mold. grave dirt (taken respectfully i promise). snotty tissue. cat claws. cicada skins. and scream into the jar for good measure. it’s disgusting and SO FUN and SO CATHARTIC

things to do with ashes from a working
make shitty watercolor paint. use it in a way that reflects the spell you cast.
make black salt.
smear them all over your body for fun if they’re safe.
if it’s from a baneful working, dump them in your war water.
make them into sigils. because why not.

cord cutting spell i did today
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the candle on the left symbolizes me and my friends; the one on the right symbolizes someone who has been crossing boundaries constantly for two years. here’s what i noticed.
at first, the candle representing my group took longer to burn. we all have a lot of guilt around this person, and we don’t want to hurt them, but it’s necessary.
the candles burned pretty steadily together for a while. the cord kept slipping down. unhealthy attachment maybe?
after around ten minutes, the cord started to get close to the left side candle’s flame, but only burned on one side, like the right was trying to maintain attachment.
the cord ultimately burnt, though, with only a small remnant sitting on the plate.
this working brought me so much relief. i was afraid we would never be able to leave.

spell ingredients i don’t hear people talk about that i use in my practice. baby witches save this info but tread lightly, it’s not all safe all the time
cat whiskers and claw shavings. if you have a cat you know. keep the whiskers. keep the claws. they’re useful
wax drippings from candle workings/sealing. these are good for long lasting spells in my experience
dead bugs. the ones you find on your windowsill.
cicada skins. the seventeen year ones are my personal favorite for
perfume. scent is the strongest memory trigger. it is also good for whatever effect you associate the scent notes with.
this is gross but fingernails can add a personal element to the process. it’s dedicating a piece of you to the working. because careful what you do with them though
raw emotion. seriously try screaming. rage. despair. visceral joy. use emotion as an ingredient.
your own art, if you make art.
