Alright, I’ll say it.

In my humble opinion, this is the best animation that exists for Timon outside of the original Lion King.

UGHHHH I just love how he moves and emotes here. He’s so wiry and weaselly and slinky and sly-looking.

The Cub At The End of Mufasa: The Lion King Revealed

The identity of the son of Simba and Nala shown at the end of Mufasa: The Lion King has been up for debate within the past 5 months of the film being out. Well now, the debate is over and we have a confirmation.

Earlier today, concept artist Anna Podedworna posted a keyframed concept art of Kiara and her younger brother at the end of the movie.

The artwork itself is cute, but you're probably thinking, "What about this confirms anything?"

I'll tell you what confirms it. Anna's description of the concept artwork, as shown on both her Instagram and her Twitter account where she posted the concept art.

There is also her reply to a comment asking for context on this. Here is her response, in which she states that in the script for the film, the cub at the end of the film is Kion.

Which confirms it. The cub at the end of Mufasa: The Lion King is Kion, from the Disney Junior animated series, The Lion Guard.

This marks his first mainstream appearance since the series' conclusion in 2019, and the first theatrical appearance of the character in The Lion King franchise.

~ Matui x Elijah ~ + Speedpainting

These two lads are two old OCs of mine that date back to when I was around 11/12 years old, with the only difference that there was no love story yet at the time XD

I started writing their story in 2018-19 as a part of a fanfiction I was writing for a possible The Lion King sequel with a queer twist, but then my interests shifted and I forgot them for a while.

Since I'm struggling with art recently, I felt that it would be cute to reinvent them and so this piece is born.

Long story (not so) short:

Matui (the dark lion) is the carefree third son of the King and Queen of a pacific kingdom, but since the reign is put in danger by a rival Queen who wants to put his hands on his land, he decides (sacrificing his freedom) to accept a marriage with the princess of the attacking kingdom, whom otherwise would have started a war. Arriving in the foreign reign, at the beginning Matui is very evasive with his bride but at some point they start to have some kind of friendship in which they both decide to fake a relationship for the wellbeing of their kingdom.

This, until one evening when Matui meets Prince Elijah, the taciturn and shy heir to the throne. He soon notices how he is kept in the shadow of his other sibilngs by his own mother and learns from his bride that due to Elijah's attitude towards her and for the fact that he is mute, the Queen is planning to disinherit him. Moved by this, he starts to spend time with him with the excuse of dancing lessons (idk why but 18 y.o me loved this concept so I don't want to remove it XD) and the two slowly fall in love. Matui's help in discovering Elijah's inner world and gentle attitude will also start to unravel his traumas and so Elijah will slowly start to speak with him. However, their love is forbidden by both Kingdom's traditions (even worse since they can't make an heir) and so they have to keep it hidden, also with the help of Elijah's younger sister (Matui's bride).

Yes, basically 18y.o me was very into gay dramas XD
