There are too many books for me to reread Stormlight Archive again but like what if I did

I have spent the past two years saying to myself “don’t get a PS5 or Series X, wait till the Switch 2 comes out it’ll be the cheaper option and you get handheld mode” and now this orange motherfucker has absolutely annihilated that. I understand of all the things that he and Musk have been doing this is by far the least important one, but it was the one of the few things that was keeping my mental health above water so 🙃

The rise of generative AI used as backgrounds for Lo/Fi music and other types of videos like that on YouTube has pushed me into a fun direction which is recorded DJ sets. A lot of them do jazz and funk records which make for really easy listening and good background music. And they’ve sometimes have patreons or other ways of supporting them. It’s nice to see a real person behind the turntable instead of a slideshow of Gen ai slop.

Do we think Shallan and Adolin will be separated for the whole timeskip? I feel like since they have a mode of communication (the seons) a good bit of the tension from her being stranded is gone for me, and I had assumed that meant she wasn’t gonna be stranded for long. But I see a lot of people assuming she (and the potential baby) won’t be able to get back into the physical realm at all and Adolin will be left alone in Azir.

I miss living around musicians. In college we would all hang out on late nights and just jam, no people watching, no frill, just playing music because we loved it. I still play now, but it’s more lonely than it used to be

Critical Role just announced that Daggerheart is releasing May 20th. With Campaign 3 now officially over I would not be surprised if Campaign 4 begins sometime around the release of Daggerheart with it being used as their core rule-system. It gives them a couple months off to do the new EXU show, maybe another couple one shots and fun stuff (maybe more of the Daggerheart party whose name I can’t remember right now) and but otherwise on break, and then they come back swinging with a new story in their new game system.

People who only want MTG to stay in a fantasy setting are boring af. I understand lamenting that the game has changed but there were 50000 sets of fucking dudes in armor with swords, maybe let the car folks have one.

I know that in writing, my first few novels will be bad. And logically I understand this. I have to learn how to write, I get it, ive never done this before it would be crazy to think I could just do a good job on my first go. But also it’s so hard to start an idea with this mentality. I care so much about these stories in my head, and the more I write them poorly the more I want to stop. I know I have to push through this and keep writing but it’s so hard to willingly say, “Yes this is gonna come out poorly but that’s okay”

3D Zelda fanatics complaining about Echoes of Wisdom’s art style is gonna make me go full Ganon. “Why are they using the Links Awakening style, it looks so stupid” DO YOU HATE FUN AND WHIMSY?!?
