Note: I lowkey cried writing the ending of this. Spoiler, its just that damn adorable. It might have also been because I was listening to Adrianne Lenker while writing and proofreading, but thats not the point. Anyway, enjoy!

You lay tired in your bed, quietly reading through a lore book. Your reading glasses sitting softly on the tip of your nose.

You didn't notice him—mostly because he was so freaking quiet when he moved— but Castiel was standing in your doorway, breathing heavy.

You finally looked up, jumping a little when you saw him. "Oh, hey, Cas." You placed the ribbon bookmark into your spot, lifting your glasses off your face and putting them on top of the book.

"Hello," Cas looked at you with his stern expression, his eyes being the only giveaway that he was extremely tired.

"You wanna come lay down?" You asked, giggling softly at his face.

"Yes, please." He mumbled, walking over to your bed with a specific speed.

You moved the quilt covering you over, watching him sit on the side of the mattress.

You patted the spot next to you slightly, watching his eyes trail up your arm and to your face, moving closer to you.

He inched his body to the spot right next to you, sitting softly against you for a moment, then laying his head against your shoulder, then eventually reaching all the way across your front just to be as close as possible to you.

His arms wrapped around your body, hands meeting on your back. He tensed when you pulled your arms out from under him, immediately softening when you used them to pull him up and closer to you.

You lifted your legs over his, letting them warp around one another.

He kissed your neck softly, not with lust or need, but with kindness and affection. He didn't want to sleep with you—not that he never wants that, because he does—but he just wanted to lay in bed and watch you fall asleep while you hold each other.

He gripped you tight, as if he would never see you again. He held onto your for dear life, even though he knew you were safe here. You knew he felt safe here.

An angel felt safe in your arms.

Your angel.

"Just lay here, sweetheart.." You whisper into his hair, feeling his body physically ease on top of you.

"Thank you..." Castiel sighs against your chest, digging his forehead into the crook of your neck, his breath warm against your body.

"Of course," You exhale, kissing the top of his head. "I love you."

He paused for a moment. Even though he surely and truly did love you, it wasn't something he said often.

He also thought he should change that. So, he will.

"I..love you, too," You felt him smile softly against you. "And I always do, don't forget it."

You feel him hold you tighter. And that makes you smile. A big, toothy grin. And he knows it. That makes him laugh, although very quietly.

He doesn't let go of you, but he lifts his head to look at your big smile.

He presses a happy kiss to your chin, letting you lean your own head down to his so he can kiss you properly.

You rest your foreheads together for a moment, before he returns his head to your neck.

"Always..and forever." He finishes.

Always and forever.

Your new favorite words.

Disney World trip with Team Free Will Headcanons!!

General Headcanons

- There wouldn’t be “assigned seats” on rides… but Dean would like to go on first.

- Jack would ask someone if they wanted to sit with him on two seater rides. i feel like he would prefer to sit with Cas, cus at least he pretends to be enthusiastic on “kiddy rides”

- Dean would try to buy as many lighting lane passes as possible. he HATES waiting in lines. especially with a bunch of whining babies.

- Sam would skip out on some rides. he feels he’s “too mature” to get on some of them. but this also gives him time to check in with hunters to make sure theyre alright.

- Dean made fun of Sam for skipping rides. “you’re just too big and you’re scared they wont let you on”

- Dean would try to flirt with the princesses but then get nervous and just be really awkward and stupid.

- Cas is straight faced the whole time during rides. even during scary ones like Tower of Terror

- Jack has an autograph book and wants to meet as many characters he possibly can. he also prepares questions to ask them as he is very curious.

- Dean swears he hooked up with the actress that plays Cinderella💀

- Jack thought the characters were real until Dean (and Sam, godbless) broke the news to him after Aladdin talked about meeting up for a fictional magic carpet ride.

- Cas nods along and acts like he knew the characters were fake too.

- Thankfully, Jack met Darth Vader AFTER finding out he was an actor. if Jack didn’t know he wasn’t real he would’ve been so nervous, poor baby.

- Sam and Dean share a hotel room (NOT WINCEST, CMON NOW💔) while Cas and Jack have their own room. since they dont sleep, Jack watches Disney/Star Wars movies all night.

- Sam is number one navigator. he’s weaving through crowds whilst being polite, he’s getting them to their lightning pass time slots on schedule. he’s also keeping Dean from wandering off by grabbing his arm once and awhile

- Jack is collecting pressed pennies! he has the little folder and everything <3

- Dean is eating so much junk food cus he’s “walking it off anyway”

favorite characters the boys met

Sam - he thinks the whole “mascot suit character” thing is a little silly at his age, but he appreciates the characterization/acting. especially in the Florida heat! he did take a photo with Mickey and Minnie tho jus because they’re classics

Dean - Star Lord or Jack Sparrow. he knows they’re actors but as soon as he starts talking to them he gets nervous as if they’re the real people.

Jack - literally everyone. he loves them even after Dean tells him they’re actors.

Cas - Donald Duck. dont know why, he’s just his favorite. maybe because his mischief reminds him of Dean. just a thought🤷🏻‍♀️
