The second song lowk broke me

So I must admit, I haven't completely listened to epic the musical.

I know it's bad.

But in my defense, when it came out, acad-wise it was my busiest time and after that I experienced severe burnout so I didn't finish listening to it.

However, for the past week, I've been getting reels about it nonstop.

So I'm finally going to listen to it. Yaay!

(Also since its been a while since I read the Odyssey, some parts of it are going to feel like I'm getting to know about them for the first time. I dont know what to think about that. I'll be ready for the emotional damage)

My fave Greek gods trios (Titanomachy edition):

The Big 3 (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades)

The Sisters (Hestia, Demeter, Hera)

The Golden Trio (Zeus, Metis, Leto)

Dumb, Dumber, Dumbest (Hera, Hades, Poseidon)

The Girlfriends (Metis, Leto, Hera)

They aren't in a particular order of preference; I just wrote what I remembered as I went along the way.

I'm pretty sure I hcd more trios, but I can't remember.

Right off the bat, after scrolling through my fyp for a while, I've realised just how unhinged some of my hcs (especially the ones I has a long time ago way before my break from everything) were and how it could lowkey offend those who actually worship the greek gods (even though I wanna make this clear--I have the utmost respect for all gods and goddesses and I don't think there's any god that's bad or good--they're all very complex being and I don't think there's one true interpretation of understanding the gods and their stories because I may perceive the stories differently and I think thats okay :D)

Some unhinged hcs that I had were:

1. Homoromantic ace Athena: okay, so teen me got misled by Pallas and Athena's story. Before that I completely believed in aroace Athena but ever since that I thought that she might not be completely aro. Idk now though because my opinions and interpretations keep changing between demiromantic ace and aroace (also LO really messed with me before I realised how stupid some of the things were in that webtoon but the damage was long done).

2. (I apologise in advance) Demeter x Hades (titanomachy era only!!!): so I blame my GK teacher first because she was into this couple. Her reasoning for Demeter hating on Persephone and Hades being together was because Demeter and Hades were a thing and me being in 6th grade without any prior knowledge of greek mythology (this class was the first time I got to know about greek mythology) I wa like hmmm makes complete sense. And I think it's deleted now but there was this really beautiful fic I read 3 years ago so I was like I vibe with this a lotttt (💀💀). Now I'm into Demeter x Hecate. And Demeter x Hades is lowkey cursed (but it's still funny)

3. Hera x Leto (hear me out one sec pls don't kill me): so I had this grand theory when I'd started writing about a Titanomachy AU that Hera had a crush on Leto during the titanomachy while Leto had a crush on Zeus who was dating Metis. Leto and Zeus were pretty close (I thought that Zeus and Leto and Metis were like the trio. I dont remember the stance of Leto during the war though... i really need to brush up on the myths again) so Leto thought that oh I have a chance now but thay never happened. And after Hera, Zeus didnt change wives yk? Like he had a ton of affairs, yes, but Hera remained his wife. And feelings were hurt (Leto's). I also had this hc that during the titanomachy Hera and Leto became good friends. So yes anyway Leto ended up becoming an affair. And more feelings were hurt (Hera's) and the rest is history.

4. AroAce Artemis: quite a lot of people don't agree with me and that's fine honestly because I think Artemis' sexual orientation is a bit of a grey area imo because there are a ton of interpretations. I dont really have an explanation, though, as to why I hcd this; I just remember reading the myths and going like "yes she's aroace."

I don't know where I was going with this post honestly. I just I needed to air out my weird ahh hcs lol (and also incriminate myself ig).

Okay, real talk.

I did not know I'd get so severely burntout that I'd leave a Fandom I loved so dearly for more than a year. It's completely crazy because I always used to say to myself (back whej i first joined tumblr in 2022... i had a different account then) that as soon as I go to college I'll actually have more time to be on social media and post whatever I want without hiding it from anyone because I'm independent and I won't have crazy schedules where the only time im free is at night and that too for an hour.

I was then shot 57 times. (No fr. Emotionally? Yessss)

I got fed up of greek mythology. Like, a lot. To the point I hated everything I'd written (and I'd written a LOT) and stopped writing altogether. I stopped reading ANYTHING after that because I was convinced I could never write like the authors I loved so much.

And college... has not been the easiest in itself either. Like I do have a lot of time on my hands now but that doesn't mean that I knew how to utilise said time (I still don't). After all, it is my first time being 100% responsible for everything I do and thats scary. Plus my college, in quite a few ways, suck, so that's definitely not been good for my mental health.

I don't know what the point of this post is. Truth is, I've forgotten how I used to post and interact with everyone on Tumblr. I think I just wanted to vent. Because the other day I was listening to this edit audio who's name I've forgotten and it was as if I was sucked rigjt back into my old ideas.

And I wrote.

And wrote.

And wrote some more.

And wrote 40 pages in a day.

And somehow, I was back.

Now I'm not consistent. I procrastinate a lot so I don't think that's going anywhere anytime soon 😅. But I felt like me after a really long time.

That's why I came here--because this is where it all began.

I know not many of you are here now. I know I've missed a lot of memes, discussions and headcanons about greek mythology that I loved to be a part of over this period of time, but it doesn't mean I can't come back and start over, right?

So yea, I don't know who reads this or whatever (I think this is just for me... like my journal entry) but im happy that I'm embracing change while not forgetting the things I loved.

Now let me explain. So you already know about my crazy ahh greek mythology dreams right? Well I didn't have any for MONTHS until last night in which I was supposedly in a haunted mansion outside my Uni with my friends where we proceed to go down in the basement. Now suddenly we are in this weird limbo-like world where time is suspended and everything is like greyish-white (and there seems no end to the room). There is one TV in that place (which is also suspended mid-air) and me and my friends are watching it.

Basically what the TV was showing was the Greek deities and their powers (kinda like how before choosing a character in a game you get all their info) and then suddenly a woman with long wavy black hair, tanned skin, grey eyes, and adorned in a surprisingly vibrantly-coloured chiton (started off as white but then at the bottom it was multicoloured like it had all the colours of the rainbow) appeared before me. She chuckled when she looked at the TV (it displayed a female deity at that time) and was like: "Oh you guys are looking at my gf"

And I was like: 👁👄👁☠️

And my friends were like: 👁👄👁🙏😭✝️ (coz they were like who th is she)

And then I immediately asked her name because I thought she was Hera (judging her by her clothes) but she said she was Athena and I freaked out even more since she's supposed to be a Maiden goddess to which she's like: "It's not physical chillllll" and fist bumped me.

There's a lot more to the dream (like Hades' teen rip-off called Haces which I'll get into only if you ask me to ;) and demonic ponies) but THE MAIN GIST IS THAT ATHENA IS A CONFIRMED LESBIAN LESSGOOOOO
