🔊SOUND ON🔊 Yeah baby, Creature Dj is back in town! Watch until the end, the ending is my favourite 😂😂😂 This was actually damn complicated, le me tell you a bit about the process: 1. The idea 2. Thinking if the idea isn’t too crazy and what the hell am I even doing up to 3. First sketches 3. Two weeks of looking for a correct song (Mr. Oizo - All Dry) he is a legend. 4. Filming keeping in head some what of a script, no choreography was planned in the beggining. 5. Tracing the 3D camera movement 6. Making 3D models 7. Composing animation and sound to sync together. All together took me around a month of evenings but I learned so much during the process and it is liberating, I’m feel like I can explode thinking of all the things Ideas I can realize. 🔊SOUND ON🔊 Basically I wanted everybody to dance. Yeah, you, on the other side of the screen, sometimes you will wake up realizing that most of your life passed and you were just running and running trying to achieve that final goal, that carrot in front of you - but you’ve missed the point all the way along, life is a musical thing and you were supposed to sing and dance all the way along. So dance now. And I hope I made your blue day with this fun dog. This animation took me super long to make because of it’s complex hair animation which gave me a lot of headaches, I just could’t understand, but now I do. Imagine - you render this for entire night, come in the morning and see that everything is messed up, meaning you will have to wait for another night or two. Actually the rendering of hair physics took entire weekend, 3 days all together, I’ll be needing a more powerful machinery. SONG BY Said Energizer - Chiki Chiki. It was super hard to learn 3D camera tracking and make the brain dance, and even to find this hilarious beatbox online, that was a gift from above! Of course it all look stiff and clumsy but I don’t mind, any result is better than no result, If I would be always afraid what artistic professionals would say, I would just never accomplish anything. Drinking creative juice, to stay hydrated. I just wanted to try something new, something simple yet interesting, and this is my first try. I already have many similar ideas in advance and can't wait to get my hands on them. This year was actually a year of new experiences to me, and it is crazy to realize how endlessly deep the rabbit's hole is. I started my year with learning digital paint, which covered some dark spots in my expertise, then I put my self in 3D world which I still learning pretty quick, just yet all the stuff is somewhat commercial so I don't put it here, and damn I even formed a creative agency, which also gave me a huge amount of different expretises. The growth is unlimited, and it is the scariest and the coolest thing about it. And now my hands literally itch thinking of all the ideas they could make. I just need to find that super-productive wave to stay one, to be uber focused which is a challenging thing - you let your focus slip and you forget that amazing feeling of what is it like to be a creator and more importantly - why to be a creator at all, what is the motive? Cheers up for the creative wave guys, I wish you all luck in your beginnings and also to stay on the wave as long as possible! Or just take a sip of this universe space drink! Having fun with liquid simulations in Blener, 3D is super nice especially when you can see progress in your skillset, so now I finally started understanding how lights and rendering works, how to simulate physics, but yet everything freezes heavily as I don't know how to optimize meshes. I tried making this guy's face also physic based (turning it into a soft body) but my PC started bleeding literally and I hat to put bandages on it. Now we recover from that traumatic experience and can't wait to start something new and super juicy in this endless and spectacular world of 3D design. My @nrg_arthouse workplace. Awesome 4k monitor allowing me to see through time and space and get the crispiest colorful colors, it is like my Willy Wonka's Color Factory where I squeeze out yellow colors straight out of wild yellow monkeys and harvest saturated pink juice out of space fruits. Also various neons and leds around me keep me inspired, and if there is nothing glowing I go sit in the corner and refuse to perform. Also my funky chair is vibrating and have a heating feature, it also makes me coffee and walks my dog sometimes,it is a very advanced chair. So this is where I work, where my children and grandchildren will work and keep building my NRG empire. There are days when I need to take the darkest stuff out out of myself and the only way to do so is to put it on paper or screen. This particular piece a did some time ago and improved the quality a bit, kinda gave it a fresh look. No idea what stands behind it, probably this utter feel of horror is inspired by Silent Hill, one of my favorite franchises.
