Sending good vibes, Lovely💗🩵💙
I hope the rest of the week goes by faster than the first three days…
I mean today was great but getting soaked by the large and super soggy snowflakes to catch my bus as well as hurting my ankle due to my snowboots made today physically painful.
Yesterday was just constant stress until after that phone call I made in which my anxiety went poof and I ended up tired as hell because I was so stressed out that all I did was run literal circles around my store for three and a half hours until I could call.
Anyway, just trying to relax a little.  So tired.

Thank you🩷
Together, we'll keep this magick alive.🌌
Everyday Kindness
We all know the world an be a terrible place sometimes. Often we get too caught up on the big picture and the disasters happening around us and the terrible way the world is. But I refuse to give in to nihilism and cynical world views. I try to practice Everyday Kindness. I don't do these things every single day, but I try to do at least one.
Complement a stranger
Tell a friend you love them
Hold the door open
Give up your seat on the bus or train if you're able to
Spend some time appreciating nature
Tell a joke to make someone smile
Do things you like for yourself
Look in the mirror and name something you like about yourself
Help someone navigate an unfamiliar location
Pick something up someone dropped
Give to charity; time or money
Reward yourself for your hard work
Tell a loved one why you enjoy their company
Dance and/or sing
Make a list of reasons to celebrate life
Read something that makes you smile
Pay for a friend's drink, if you're able to
Share
Thank someone for doing a thankless job
Let someone go before you in a que
Volunteer
Ask for help when you need it
Hug someone if they're comfortable with that
Listen to how your body feels
Listen to how your heart feels
Learn something that interests or excites you
Remember something that made you smile
Make life enjoyable
Thank someone for their kindness
Send pictures/videos of animals to people who like them
I hope you have a good day and maybe you'll try to notice or practice some Everyday Kindness. Remember, the world is what we make of it. We have the power to control how we respond to life's challenges.
We're going to make it.
I know we will.

Per my last reblog, I'm gunna rant about shadow work for a second. Not about Runa's post, because I think her post is very helpful <3
I truly loathe the push that deep shadow work gets from some people in the magical community, especially those who push it onto people who are very new or those who say that your magic is somehow lesser if you don't do shadow work.
I have watched my friends get re-traumatized by bullshit shadow work prompts that had no place in their practice but were pushed onto them by "more experienced" practitioners. These prompts triggered repressed memories for them and fucked with their heads. Especially young folks in magic, they don't know better right off the bat that you don't have to do what other witches do in order to succeed in magic.
I have personally broken down due to the pressure of feeling like I had to do shadow work but knowing full well that I am not mentally prepared to do the deeper shit.
Digging into repressed memories without the proper knowledge of how to handle them can re-traumatize you by forcing you to relive traumatic events and ultimately has no purpose other than to fuck you up. You don't need to suffer through your trauma a hundred times over to heal, you've already suffered enough.
You do not need to sacrifice your mental state for magic.
You do not need to do shadow work to be a witch or to be successful in magic.
Your witchcraft or your magic does not need to link to your psychological health at all if you don't want it to.
And if it's possible, go to a therapist! Therapy is a great tool for healing!!!

I think it's wild how similar that story is to the Japanese tale of the Kamis Izanagi and Izanami.
Like Orpheus wasn't supposed to look back, just like Izanagi, and he did, just like Izanagi.
And then some other stuff happened in the Greek tale that I can't remember, but I'm sure it was very similar.
Very. Similar. Indeed.
one thing about orpheus and eurydice is you guys are all like “i’m different i wouldnt turn to look at her” because you are all familiar with the story of orpheus and eurydice. but orpheus wasnt familiar with the story because he was in it lol.

Not just pagan tiktok but pretty much all of spiritual tiktok gave me trauma, especially around the way I perceived my Gods.

As someone who struggles with OCD and keeps spirituality in my life, I completely agree. Recently I've been emphasizing that I want my worship "Earthy." I don't have these so called "diety encounters" the way many witches on tiktok commonly portray them to be. If anything, I think watching tiktok videos on diety worship puts my mind in a box. I've had to stop watching witchtok almost all together because it's made my OCD get really bad before. And of course that's a me problem, but still; I feel like I don't see "the heart" emphasized on witchtoks about diety worship enough, the aspects that are emotional and healing.
I'm very eclectic with my spirituality. I honor many spirits from many cultures, especially but not limited to Asian dieties and Christ. I worship the Holy Spirit often as a Mama, mostly due to my experience with the book "The Shack" by William P. Young.
I feel like so much emphasis is put onto "LOOK at this SUPER COOL thing THAT MY DIETY DID Lol," And I really don't feel like that's the point.
I feel like there's so much emphasis on trying to "show off" dieties and how "badass" you are because you work with or worship them, and I really don't think that's the point at all.
My initial reason for honoring any God was to simply honor them. To feel like I had a guiding light in this world to hold me, and to give and offer to them with gratitude. I really chose to worship all my Gods for good vibes, to connect and feel their unique and good energies, and to explore them. To put them all onto a tapestry, onto a special metaphorical Jean-Jacket like patches. For me and The Creator to iron on each one with love. To carry them with me.
They have taught me to be gentle and compassionate, to Love and pray for people, and to stay strong in my toughest hours. They have taught me and worked with me to create sanctuary in my home and in my room, and to send others good energy. They've taught me to be more thoughtful and considerate, and They've inspired me to Love every being in the entire universe, and though I'm not all the way there yet, I'm definitely shooting for it.
So incase it helps anyone to know, I've told myself I'm not going to watch spiritual content this week, because I've been grappling with my OCD surrounding my spirituality, and right now in my life I feel like it needs to be about the relationships that My Gods and I have, not any God's relationship(s) with someone else. I tend to be a very ungrounded person, so for me it's really important to keep my worship "grounded" in the ways that I feel are grounded/grounding for me. I also tend to be like a "little philosopher," which can get me "in trouble" sometimes with my OCD, so again, I try and stick mostly to a way of worship that makes me feel good and sturdy, in a good state of flow and with peace of mind.
Thank you for reading, blessed be your Day, Week, and Life.
Clay💜
If you have any thoughts on this, please tell me. Negative or positive, please let me know.
Maybe god worship doesn’t have to be exciting. I say god worship as an all-encompassing term, and I practice Hellenic polytheism in particular.
Some deities have their worshipers travel and fight in the astral realm, learn 3 spells a week and have constant encounters with non mundane entities. But maybe not everyone’s worship is meant to look like that. I don’t mean that you don’t learn new things or improve because of worship. You constantly do. In my experience, I constantly learn new things about my gods almost every day. And that is exciting, but mundane. Idk. Maybe you are supposed to just worship and vibe with your deity, and that’s okay.
Idk, I’ve literally just thought about this now.

""Most birds were created to fly. Being grounded for them is a limitation within their ability to fly, not the other way around." She paused to let Mack think about her statement. "You on the other hand, were created to be loved. So for you to live as if you were unloved is a limitation, not the other way around.""
