does anyone else that changed their name look for their deadname’s initial in those moodboard posts? like, i’m transmasc, and whenever “her name begins with ___” type thing comes up, i always look for my old initial. it’s like im checking in on a different version of me that stayed a girl and wondering what she’s like. and obviously an instagram moodboard wouldn’t be able to tell me but it still feels that way a little

OKAY NONHUMAN QUESTION TIME - do any of y'all ever wish that others would name you instead of choosing your own name? There seems something inherently human in choosing a name to me; I've always wanted to have my name selected by other people as if I was an animal who would not consider that itself. Not even in a dog way; wild animals too receive names from humans, though of course domestic animals come immediately to mind.

Any other alterhumans wish that humans would give them names?

this is why i started learning ASL :33 teaching my friends important signs so that when i go into verbal shutdown we can still communicate, and even in daily conversation i still am integrating them, hopefully one day they’ll pick up on enough so i won’t have to speak for most of what i want to communicate!

how to stop talking. how to be completely silent always. just never talk again. please i need to know.

also, deer are simultaneously satan’s weakest and strongest soldiers. they die like hamsters or survive things that really should have killed them. biting the dust from an internal hemorrhage after jumping over a fence or surviving 10+ years with an arrow imbedded in their side. fate rolls the dice on every injury and they either get a 0 or a 20. keeping them alive is hard. killing them is also hard.

get to write a final paper for my psychology course on I Saw The TV Glow.. time to cook up. i’m so excited. the symbolism is gonna go crazy. i’m gonna be talking about all the different interpretations of owen’s experiences bc yeah, trans, but also there’s lots of content that can suggest PTSD, schizophrenia, depression, etc.. and regardless of the mental illness owen could be experiencing, there’s still heavy themes of dissociation and repression throughout, which i am going to TALK about.
