You wanna be sad today?
So i just got this idea; Almond is walking down the streets of Parfaedia, Latte and Creampuff on both his sides. He’s smiling, talking to them occassionally as Constable Whiskers trails behind. But unbeknownst to him, just beyond the thin line of a wall, screen? A young girl watches on. She wears a detective outfit, her curly brown hair a mess and loud sobs escape her. She bangs on the wall, begging for Almond to notice her, to acknowledge her existence.
“Dad, dad! It’s me! P-Please, don’t forget about me, d-don’t replace me!” She cries, slamming her fists against the wall harder and harder. Almond doesn’t notice her. After watching the trio, and cat, continue to talk and walk on, and after begging and crying for a few more minutes, she caves. She falls to her knees, sobs and hiccups freely escaping her. She wants to look away, to make the scene stop playing, but she’s frozen. Much to her displeasure, she’s stuck in place, only to watch on and on as her father seemingly forgets about her.
Just as she was about to curl into a ball, she feels a prescene behind her. In a hopeful yet raspy and weak voice, she asks, “Dad..?” But it’s not him. Instead, it’s a tall figure with long blonde hair with streaks of teal in it. They have a sad expression on their face. “Walnut...”
The young girl stays still for a little while longer, before launching herself at the blond, hugging their legs and sobbing once more. Roguefort reaches down and scoops the young girl up, holding her close. “I’m so sorry, little detective...”

Succumb to Darkness.
Based off of Madeleine's new costume!
Summary; Madeleine has failed again, to protect those he cares for and loves. The Divine don't seem to be answering his prayers for help, and he's starting to lose some faith... And that faith entirely shatters when a certain fallen prince has an offer for him.

Madeleine was on his knees, wounded in battle. He failed. He lost. He failed to protect those he cared for, and now he was paying the price.
As the injured got carried away to the kingdom, the blond knight kneeled on his knees, tears streaking down his face. "Why... Why am I not strong enough..? Oh, Divine, please... Why have you not made me stronger..?" He muttered. That seemed to be a reoccurring thing; the Divine not answering his prayers.
He's starting to doubt, to doubt his faith. One part of him told him to snap out of it, still holding onto hope, while the other part sneered and grumbled in hatred and doubt.
"I know your pain." Said a new voice. Madeleine turned around swiftly, getting back on his feet and pointing his sword at the newcomer; Dark Choco. The banished prince of a lost kingdom.
The paladin growled at him, "What are you doing here? Are you here to try and destory the kingdom again?! ... Then where is your army..?" Dark Choco chuckled darkly, using his finger to lower the sword pointed at him. "Actually, I'm here for you."
Madeleine's eyes widened. What did he mean? He was here for.. Him..? Wait, no... No-!
"I know your pain, I feel your anguish. You're not good enough.. Are you..? You have never been good enough for anyone, which leads you to seek out attention and praise and admiration, only to get so little back. You try your best and yet it isn't enough. You're a failure. You failed missions before, but nowadays you've been failing your most important mission; to protect. You failed to protect; you're weak." Madeline gripped his hold on his sword.
He desperately wanted to fight back, give a retort and slash at Dark Choco..! But he didn't move. It was almost as if his body wanted to hear more, almost as if it... Agreed.
Dark Choco continued, "Have the Divine ever answered your prayers? Your pleas, your begs, all just so you could get stronger and protect those around you... But, no. They never did, and because of that, you have weakened. But why succumb to the light, hm? When you can succumb to the darkness."
No... No, no! He can't! Madeleine can't! He was a commander, a commander of light! He was meant to protect, not hurt! S-So, so... Why was the offer so... Tempting..?
The fallen prince noticed the knight's hesitant and tempted look, smirking. "The darkness can make you stronger, as it has me. You were made to protect, yes? So protect the honor of our Dark Lord. Fend for her and her army, join our ranks. You will be reverend as one of the strongest and terrifying members of our army! So.. What do you say, knight?" Dark Choco extended his hand out to Madeleine.
A few moments passed before the knight raised his hand, and gripped the fallen Prince's. "I accept... Your offer."
Now, he is part of the Darkness.

... I wrote this on a Discord server, and now proceeded to post it here. Also, should I do a part two where different cookies get to see Madeleine in his new Commander of Darkness fit? (I know that isn't the costume's name but ssh)

Precious Divine Light.
Cookie Run Human AU.
Summary; Madeleine stays up a little later than usual but gets startled when he hears his little sibling, Angel, start crying from their room.
Madeleine is hunched over his desk; papers with a thousands of words written on them scattered all over the place, books lazily stacked and thrown around the room, his hand hurting from all the writing he had done, visible bags hanging underneath his eyes.
How long has it been? One, two hours? Maybe three? God, he would be just as bad as Espresso if he stayed up for longer than that.
The blonde ran an aching hand through his messy hair, picking up his phone from the side to check the time; 4:34. The blonde cursed under his breath when he realized it was literally the next day. He let out a groan and slammed his head gently against the desk.
"Damnit Essy, you've rubbed off on me..." Madeleine mumbled. Rising from his position, he was about to get up to prepare breakfast for him and his little sibling, until he heard cries coming from another room.
His eyes widened, "Angie..!" He burst out of his office's door and rushed down the hallway. As Madeleine reached the source of the crying, he bust open the door only to see a heartbreaking sight;
His little sibling, his precious Divine Light, was sitting up in their bed and sobbing their eyes out. Angel's eyes were bloodshot, small body trembling. They held onto a small stuffed doll, one that resembled their older brother a lot. Angel let out a sniffle as they realized their big brother was now in the room, making grabbing hands towards Madeleine since the only sounds they could really muster at the moment were broken sobs and whimpers.
Madeleine obliged to Angel's request, making his bed to their bed and sitting by their side, the bed dipping under his weight. Angel let out another sniffle, scooting over to hug Madeleine's torso. A sad chuckle came from Madeleine, wrapping his arms around the smaller body and lifting them up.
"Angie, my precious divine light, what seems to be the matter?" Angel sniffled against their brother's chest, looking up at Madeleine with puffy eyes. "I-I had a nightmare... A-About the night mama and dada g-got into that accident, and you were in that accident too..! I-I was alone, no one was there to take care of me, to love me, t-to comfort me... I hated it! And I woke up and I didn't see you, and thought it actually happened! Please big brother, don't ever leave me alone!"
Angel exclaimed in a broken, raspy voice, bursting into tears once again. A few years ago, Madeleine and Angel's parents had gotten into an accident after they were coming back from an overseas business trip.
When the news was broken to them, Angel couldn't get a good night's sleep for at least a month, having nightmares similar to the one they had new every night during then. Madeleine wasn't doing so good either, staying up and focusing on studies more than ever to try and distract himself from the pain.
The two got better, eventually, but the death of their parents was definitely the most traumatizing thing to happen to the both of them ever, especially for Angel. The situation hadn't haunted them for a couple of years now, until today.
And god, did Madeleine hate it whenever his little sibling was sad, and the description of their nightmare only furthered the pain he felt in his chest. "Oh, Angie..." Madeleine whispered, wrapping his arms tighter around them, rocking them slowly as they continued to sob.
"It's going to be okay Angie, I promise I won't ever leave you alone..." Madeleine said, rubbing circles into Angel's back. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep that promise forever, but he was going to keep it for as long as he possibly could, through thick and thin. All for his precious divine light.
After a few moments of sobbing, Angel calmed down, pulling away from their brother a bit to wipe their eyes. "P-Promise..?" Madeleine nodded, smiling his famous, bright smile. "I promise." Angel smiled back at him.
"Now, what do you say we go get some breakfast? Big bro is feeling a bit lazy today, so let's go get some McDonald's pancakes, hm?" Angel grinned, cheering 'pancakes, pancakes!', making Madeleine grin as well. He placed his little sibling on the floor and watched as they rushed off to their closet to find some presentable casual clothes.
'Anything for you, my precious divine light...'
And scene! Hope you enjoyed this little fanfiction that randomly conjured up in my mind, and I'm sorry of the ending seemed a bit rushed, haha 🥲
