Meet Flicker Crackcrown! Goblin Princess and itinerant ne'er-do-well. I find we often paint our characters (and ourselves) with too broad a stroke. We may like characters as ferocious fighters or bookish librarians, but we love them because they still play with dinosaur toys. Joy is in the details.

Meet Baz! Gem Dragon Crystal Spiritualist! The crystals are magic! I swear! I wanted to capture someone that was in equal parts endearing, monstrous, and fancy. An enthusiastic weirdo obsessed with crystals both from the ground and growing on himself.

Meet Fheid! My original idea for him was a haunted pirate punk. I liked the idea of a good-for-nothing looking for something to do right, while literally being haunted by his past and potential futures. Who says games can't be a fantastic place to explore pathos, right?

Meet d'Art and El Capytan! Tinker, Spellsword, Soldier, Frog. To be honest, I just wanted to play/paint a poison dart frog. I love them. They’re adorable and terrible. I also love capybara. This is a glory of both sides of character design. I wished for something and can make it happen in a variety of ways. d’Art and El Capytan started as an idea centered around things I love, and have given me nothing but joy in their existence. I encourage you to design based on a similar love.
