So, I’ve decided I’ll be spending some time going over all my wips and projects I want to start and figuring out how I want to go about doing everything. During that time, I probably won’t post much writing, maybe a little something here and there, but overall I will be focusing on outlining some stuff and developing plans for updates.

Beautiful View
Series: Undertale LGBT Pride Month 2017 Rating: G Words: 691 Warnings: none Relationship: Alphys x Undyne Read on AO3
Alphys wants to show Undyne something really cool.
---------
“UNDYNE! Undyne, come on, we have to go outside, we might be able to see this really cool thing!”
Undyne looked up in surprise and bewilderment from the sandwich she was eating. “Uh, does it have to be right this second, Alph? Can I finish my—”
“Yes, it has to be right now or we might miss it! Come on, please!”
The sandwich lay abandoned on the kitchen table as Alphys pulled Undyne all the way out the front door. “Whoa, Alphys, okay! What really cool thing is it?” she asked hurriedly, trying to stay upright. When her girlfriend got really wound up like this, she had an odd strength that few could match.
“Hopefully you’ll see! Come on, out to this clearing over here!” Alphys was so excited, she wasn’t even stuttering like usual.
Undyne looked up at the clouds as they stopped in a small field. Light raindrops, almost too small to detect, tickled her face. “It’s just… wet out here, Alph. What are you looking for?” she asked again, confused.
Alphys’s eyes didn’t stop frantically searching the sky. “There—there’s this really cool weather phenomenon up here on the surface, when light refracts off water droplets in the clouds. It creates this fantastic optical effect, I’ll know it when I see it. I’ve read about it in books and seen it in movies from the surface and stuff. I’ve always wanted to be able to see it, but I never thought I would! Now’s my chance!”
Undyne watched Alphys bounce around impatiently. The little yellow monster’s clothes were mussed, her shoes were muddy, and her nose ran a little from the chill in the air, but Undyne didn’t care about that. She could only see Alphys’s passion, her wonder, her love for the scientific marvels of the world.
“Oh, come on, where is it? I wanted to show you so bad, it has to be so beautiful in real life…” Alphys wrung her hands.
“Hey, it’s okay.” Undyne put a hand on her shoulder. “If it doesn’t show up, we’ll try next time. And when that happens, I won’t get distracted by food,” she added half-jokingly.
Alphys didn’t answer. She just continued looking up at the sky in quiet anxiety.
Undyne helped her search. She didn’t really have any idea what she was looking for, but she figured if it was so obvious to Alphys, she’d probably be able to find it too.
“THERE!” Alphys grabbed Undyne’s hand and pointed upwards ecstatically.
Undyne’s eyes widened in awe as she took in the astounding sight.
A magnificent, well-defined arc of light stretched a great distance over the ground. Many different, distinct colors were arranged from red to purple in a perfect spectrum. The arc reached high into the sky, a spot of hued beauty against dull gray clouds.
“Wow.” Alphys’s gasp was breathless. “I-I can’t believe I’m really seeing this… a real rainbow…”
Undyne looked over at her. A rainbow? In her opinion, the name didn’t do the thing justice. It deserved something much more regal. But Alphys didn’t seem to care. Her eyes reflected the fullness of the rainbow, every bright color standing out against the dark, earthy brown of the iris. Now that she was looking at them, Undyne couldn’t look away.
That is, until the click of a phone camera snapped her out of her trance. Alphys had taken a picture.
“I wish I had my real camera. This little thing isn’t nearly good enough for it,” she sighed. “Undyne, isn’t it just… just lovely? I-I-I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so beautiful in my whole life.”
Undyne shrugged and gave a small smile. “Oh, I dunno… I think I’ve seen something even more beautiful than that.”
Alphys stared at her skeptically. “Like what?”
“Like you.”
Once she processed the words, Alphys turned deep red. “O-oh, Undyne. You’re t-t-too sweet…” She looked away shyly and started to cover her face with her hands.
Undyne took them down and pulled her close. “Come here, you.”
And in the mud and the rain, with the rainbow framing them like in a picturesque post card, she kissed her.

Cherries and Old Books
Series: Undertale Fic Requests, Part 1 Rating: T Words: 976 Warnings: none Relationship: Papyrus x Mettaton Read on AO3
Papyrus and Mettaton end the perfect date in the perfect way.
---------
Mettaton sighed happily as he drove himself and Papyrus home for the night. They had only been boyfriends for three months, and they’d been spending almost every day of those three months spoiling each other silly.
Today had been no different.
Well, that wasn’t entirely true.
Today had been far more romantic than any other day they’d shared together.
They’d spent the afternoon at a day spa, getting manicures, pedicures, full body massages, seaweed wraps, the full works. Or at least Mettaton had gotten the full works; there was only so much that Papyrus could do, only being made of bones. He’d greatly enjoyed sitting, talking, and watching while Mettaton got his treatments done, though.
Then they’d gone to their homes momentarily to change into matching suits for a fancy dinner. Mettaton had picked up Papyrus and driven all the way to a restaurant on the harbor. There, they’d eaten dinner al fresco, the sun setting in the distance and stars appearing in the cloudless sky above them. They’d finished off with glasses of wine before paying the bill and going off to dance and walk through the gardens, laughing and conversing merrily, sometimes sneaking in a compliment or even flirting.
Now they were going home.
Mettaton heard Papyrus sigh beside him. He glanced over for a moment. The skeleton’s eyes were unfocused and he had the biggest, dumbest smile on his face, like he couldn’t stop thinking about the night he’d just had. Mettaton couldn’t help but smile as well. If he weren’t the one who had to drive them home safely, he’d be staring off into space and daydreaming, too.
Finally, they pulled up into Papyrus’s driveway. The house was totally dark, but that didn’t worry either of them—Sans was usually in bed for the night by this time.
“Shall I walk you up to the door?” Mettaton asked.
Papyrus blushed and smiled. “I would love that.”
So Mettaton helped Papyrus out of his car, and they linked arms all the way to the front door. Mettaton had just said his goodbyes and walked back down the porch steps when Papyrus asked, “Can I—?” and broke off.
Mettaton turned back. “Can you what?”
Papyrus shook his head, his soul pounding. “Never mind.”
“No, what is it you want?” Mettaton asked, coming back up to stand beside the skeleton. “It’s alright to want something, darling.”
“Oh… w-well…” Papyrus’s face was turning more orange by the minute. He rubbed the back of his skull before taking a deep breath. “Can I have a kiss?”
Mettaton froze for a second before laughing aloud. “Of course, sweetheart! Why would I say no to that? I’ve done it before!” And he planted a kiss on Papyrus’s cheekbone.
To his surprise, Papyrus didn’t seem satisfied. “That isn’t quite what I meant…” he mumbled.
It took a second, but Mettaton figured it out. “Oh…” he said, his voice dropping low. “You want a real kiss.”
Papyrus shrugged. “I mean, every kiss you’ve given me is a real kiss! I just—wanted—a special kind of kiss…” he trailed off.
Mettaton gently cupped Papyrus’s jaw in his hand. “Then you can have it.”
Both of them instinctively moved closer. Mettaton’s other hand came up to stroke Papyrus’s cheekbone, and Papyrus’s hands were resting at Mettaton’s waist.
When Mettaton’s lips met his skeleton’s smile, Papyrus thought he might collapse. The robot’s lips were so soft and warm, but firm and unrelenting. He could just taste the faintest bit of cherry on Mettaton’s breath. He smelled of roses and metal and everything good in the world.
Mettaton could feel every crack and ridge on Papyrus’s teeth. His smile was tough as rock, yet Mettaton felt like he could melt into it. The bone had no physical heat, yet seemed just as warm as his own lips. He could taste the wine they’d had earlier that night, and could smell the sharp scent of spices, and something he could only describe as the smell of an old book being opened for the first time in years.
When they finally broke apart, they could still only stand together, breathless, each feeling the other’s soul pounding through their chests. Neither of them had expected their first kiss to feel like this.
Papyrus swallowed. “That—th-that was—”
“Amazing,” Mettaton whispered.
“Yeah,” Papyrus breathed.
After a minute, Mettaton stroked the back of Papyrus’s skull. “I think I’d better be going home.”
“You could stay the night instead,” the skeleton blurted out, then turned an even brighter shade of orange than he already was.
Mettaton smiled. “Do you really want me to?”
Papyrus gulped. “Actually, maybe that’s a silly idea—you don’t even have any clothes here—”
“Lucky for you, I carry some spare clothes in my car all the time,” Mettaton laughed. “I would love to stay the night, especially if it means we could have… more of that.”
Papyrus couldn’t help but think how he wanted to taste the cherry on Mettaton’s lips again.
Mettaton couldn’t get that old-book smell out of his mind.
“Yeah… yeah, I want more of that too, I think,” Papyrus agreed.
“Well, then what are we waiting for?” Mettaton grabbed Papyrus’s hand and dragged him back to the car. “Help me get my clothes out of here and we can… we can do it again.”
They didn’t even have time to change their clothes before they gave in. They snuck down to the basement and collapsed on the pullout couch, too eager to get wrapped up in the feel of each other. Too excited to see each other’s blushing faces and hear each other’s quick, whispered breaths. Too thrilled to finally reach this next milestone in their relationship full of surprises and gifts and love.
Neither of them ever wanted to forget the taste of cherries and the scent of old books.

Opposites Attract
Series: Femslash February 2019, Part 1 Rating: G Words: 413 Warnings: none Relationship: Alphys x Undyne Read on AO3
Sometimes differences are what bring people together.
---------
In many ways, Alphys and Undyne were very different people.
Undyne had no issues with sharing her opinions or making friends. She never hesitated to defend those she loved, either with the tongue or the spear. She was loud and brash and brave, and at times too reckless for her own good.
Alphys, on the other hand, often had to be pushed to share her thoughts, and her habitual reclusiveness made it difficult for her to connect with others. While she often wanted to defend her friends, she rarely had the courage to do so. She was awkward and anxious, but passionate, creative, and intelligent as well.
They say that opposites attract, and such attraction formed easily between the two.
Occasionally their differences caused them trouble. Undyne had an unfortunate habit of starting fires in the kitchen, and the other accidents she caused often cost them a good deal of money. Alphys’s timid nature would frustrate Undyne when it got in the way of her thrill-seeking and fun-loving personality. Heated arguments weren’t entirely uncommon in their household.
But somehow, their differences taught them about life and about each other more than anything else.
Undyne would never let Alphys wallow in depression or self-pity and pushed her to think better of herself and do the best she could. She would remind her of the good things inside of her and of the wonderful things she’d done. She would push her out of her comfort zone just enough to show her the excitement she was missing out on. And she would never miss an opportunity to tell her how much she loved everything she was.
Meanwhile, Alphys showed Undyne how to slow down and appreciate the little things that life had to offer. She would remind her that she didn’t always have to be big and brave; it was okay to be vulnerable and be honest with her feelings sometimes. She would match her hot temper with calm logic and her recklessness with caution. And like Undyne, she would never miss an opportunity to tell her how much she loved everything she was.
At the end of the day, it didn’t matter how different they were. Or rather, it did, but not because of the fights they had. It mattered because things never got boring. It mattered because every day held new adventures, new things to learn and new ways to love each other.
Neither of them would give that up for the whole world.

Calm in the Storm
Series: Undertale LGBT Pride Month 2017, Part 1 Rating: G Words: 549 Warnings: none Relationship: Papyrus x Mettaton Read on AO3
Thunderstorms are one of Papyrus's worst fears. Fortunately, he doesn't have to face them alone.
---------
Papyrus shuddered as harsh rain beat against the windows. He was cocooned in all the blankets on Mettaton’s bed, trying to shield himself from the howling midnight thunderstorm outside. He flinched at every flash of lightning and curled up more tightly at every crack of thunder.
Since moving to the surface, Papyrus had figured out one of his worst fears. He had never experienced a weather system so loud and overwhelmingly large in the Underground, and every sound was murder on his overly-sensitive hearing. Normally he would retreat to the basement of his house and put on his headphones until it was over, but Mettaton’s penthouse didn’t have a basement, and Papyrus hadn’t brought his headphones.
Mettaton was asleep next to him. Papyrus wanted so badly to wake him for comfort, but he didn’t want to disturb his boyfriend so late at night.
That ended up not mattering, however, since the next crash of thunder shook the entire apartment complex, scaring the robot right out of sleep mode.
He blinked, staring around confusedly until he saw Papyrus sobbing with anxiety. “Papy, dearest, what’s wrong? Is it the storm? Why didn’t you wake me up?” he demanded alarmedly, sitting up and taking the skeleton’s face in his hands.
Papyrus wiped his eyes fruitlessly. “I-I’m sorry, Metta, I just—it’s all too much and I didn’t want to bother you when you had a long day at work today and needed rest—”
“Oh, darling, please, it isn’t a bother at all to help you.” Mettaton kissed his forehead. “I’ll fix this for you somehow, baby. Hold on.”
Mettaton turned on the bedside table lamp and looked around hurriedly for a solution to the problem. He spotted his walk-in closet door. What was it Alphys had once said about fabrics and clothes? That they could help deaden noise, that was it! “Come here, honey,” he whispered soothingly as he pulled Papyrus out of the blankets. He kept his arms around his boyfriend as he led him into the closet and sat him in the corner amongst his clothing. “Stay here a minute.”
Papyrus was perplexed and frightened, but he listened. He watched as Mettaton dragged in the pillows and sheets from their bed and made some sort of nest out of them on the floor. Then the robot brought in his computer and turned on some gentle jazz music.
Papyrus crawled into the blanket nest as Mettaton shut the door tight and dimmed the lights so the room was softly illuminated.
“How is this, Papy?” Mettaton asked as he dropped down next to him.
“S’lovely,” Papyrus murmured faintly, his fear already fading away. The clothes in the closet really did help to cushion the sounds outside, and he could no longer see the cruel bolts of lightning that forewarned of torture to his eardrums.
“Would you like to watch something, or talk, or just sleep?”
“Just—just sleep, I think.”
Mettaton scooted under the blankets and pulled Papyrus flush against him, the skeleton’s head resting on his chest. Papyrus focused on the gentle hum and soothing vibration of the robot’s metal body until he could hear nor feel anything else.
“Thank you for everything, Mettaton,” he whispered.
Mettaton kissed his skull once more. “Anything for you, dearest. I’m always here for you.”

I’ve decided due to my new job sucking my energy away, I’m going to take a break from writing for the rest of August. I’ll be posting some old works on my new writing blog, @coolpapyton95, but you won’t be seeing anything new until September. Hopefully I’ll have adjusted more to my job and will be able to write more then.

So I’ve been working on what exactly I’m going to be doing with this blog. I think you should expect to see the following:
fanfics (obviously lol)
commentary, if I have anything to say about a particular work or chapter
musings about current wips
ramblings about new ideas or future projects
both positivity and laments about my writing process
writing memes, maybe
and I think that’s it for now.
I’m probably going to start out by reposting some old stuff I’ve written, but I haven’t quite decided what to start with. So stayed tuned, I do plan to start posting soon.

I think I’m going to start this blog off by reposting some of my old one-shots (I’m talking like 5 years ago lol).
I’m also going to repost Walls chapters here in full. For any of the works I post, everything will be under a readmore, so don’t worry about long posts.
Reblogs will be welcome (encouraged even) if you like the story enough to want to do so! Thanks to the people who have followed me so far!
