Why does nostalgia have to be so painful?

There's this minecraft social media app that i'm fond of. It's a crutch of my childhood, basically. There used to hundreds of members active, and now it's equivalent to a dead town with occasional new members joining and then nothing.

So i revisited it again 10 years later, and my god, it's just painful to look at. I forgot the account for my main account, but it feels like looking back at a clueless stupid kid that is me. So i invited that account to a chat, telling him about current events and advice, reassuring him that everything will be okay, don't put yourselves in danger. And then i would occasionally hope the little kid would respond. Isn't that just childish?

I'm sorry, but that skyblock lawsuit is just plain stupid. You don't get to send someone a cease and desist lawsuit to microsoft because they marketed their maps "the original skyblock maps." Even though the term skyblock has been generalized to the point when you say "skyblock." People think "oh it's the minigame about surviving on a floating island." And not "oh the minigame created by noobcrew."

Does that mean Battle Royale movie can sue every single BR games in the existence because they use the term Battle Royale to describe their gameplay?

If you really don't want them to name their marketplace maps "the original skyblock," then why in the hell do you let everyone else use the term skyblock? I'd like to give a special thanks to Reddit, and mostly life in general, to change my view on certain topics. I don't know, but if younger me sees how i ended up in the present, they would've been disgusted saying things like. "Think of your parents." And "How could you support a mental illness you ******". But even then, nothing good ever lasts forever.

Ever since Reddit decided to be anti consumer, everything feels different. The gaming sub i'm a regular of now struggles to reach their former 1,000 people being online. And the fact that reddit hides the username of the OP when you're scrolling through the popular page seems like reddit is forcing you to engage in the post before reporting them.

Of course, it's not the only thing i do not like. There's the gender wars, anti dei stuff, the constant barrage of pop culture references with racism smuggled in.

But whatever, i'm going to miss having to worry about your post getting deleted because it's not popular enough
