Losing my Sparkle

I made this poem mostly to just vent out my feelings towards life right now, but I hope that after reading this, you guys can find the relief that someone out there is feeling the same way as you.

I can't move. It's so hard to move. My body feels heavy- like I'm being pushed back down to the ground. I don't want to move.

I don't want to go to school anymore. It's not like I'm avoiding studying, or someone. I just don't want to go to school. Seeing those strange looks thrown at me, it makes me want to hide and run away. Hearing the words flying around behind my back, it makes me want to sink and drown.

I just want to lie in bed and exist. Everything is so boring and predictable now. I don't want to do anything. Even games are boring now. I can feel whatever is coming from a mile away, from betrayals to break-ups. Even what I love bores me now.

The only thing I can't predict are my grades, though I can still control those anyway. Music makes me feel empty, everything follows meaningless trends. Songs don't get me excited anymore They're all just predictable and expected now.

I used to like reading into people because they were interesting. Now, I see them all as almost the same. What difference does emotion make? It changes nothing. So why do others still think it matters?

I could see myself getting tired of everything. I don't know why I tried to stop it. I'm just tired of everything, tired of me, and tired of trying to breathe.

This world is just monochrome to me. It's like a dull, gray scenery. I'm losing my sparkle and it's not coming back. Someone, anyone, please come save me from myself, before these feelings cloud into a muddy hell...

Untitled Hope: Chapter 4

It was the final council meeting before the trip to Beast-Yeast. Pure Daisy Cookie, this time, was currently packing her bags… However, the meeting still went on without her.

“I still believe we shouldn’t let her go,” stated Dark Cacao Cookie, in a sterner and more gruff voice than usual. Golden Cheese Cookie nodded, agreeing with her old friend as she spoke, “She’s much too young to understand the importance of this mission! Pure Vanilla Cookie, are you sure that this is the right call?”

The cookie in question nodded, but this only made the Ancients worry even more as he spoke.

“Friends, I understand that you all are attached to Daisy Cookie, but I believe that my intuition is correct this time. Daisy Cookie must go to Beast-Yeast.”

Hollyberry Cookie frowned and spoke up, “Surely it isn’t a must. The child might become just as reckless, if not, traumatised by the expedition itself! As someone who has been to Beast-Yeast, I can and will say that it is not a place for a child! Even more so, not a place for our young friend!”

Pure Vanilla Cookie shook his head as he replied, “My dear friends, I understand you all are concerned, but I have reason to believe that Daisy Cookie… is a native of Beast-Yeast.”

The other ancients gasped as Pure Vanilla Cookie finished speaking. Hollyberry Cookie hastily shook her head as she remarked, “It’s impossible! During my trips to Beast-Yeast, I’ve never once seen another cookie there apart from the Tea Leaf Knights!”

Dark Cacao Cookie spoke next, “It’s impossible for a young cookie like Daisy to even have the ability to cross any ocean to get here. Besides, she would also be no match for the monsters of the Licorice Sea,” his words made Golden Cheese Cookie nod as she fluttered her wings with worry for her friend.

“Pure Vanilla Cookie, are you sure you haven’t eaten something bad to make your mind go loopy? Are you sure you’re even thinking right?” the Gleaming Goddess asked. The Ancient of Truth nodded as he replied in a firm tone, “Please, hear me out on this…”

Meanwhile…

“Daisy Cookie, are you sure you want to come along?” asked Gingerbrave, to which he received a firm nod from the tiny cookie as she replied, “Mhm!”

Chili Pepper Cookie, with a look of concern on her face, looked at Daisy Cookie and asked, “How’re you gonna defend yourself, tiny?”. Daisy Cookie simply replied, “The same way I always have been doing; with my plants. Besides, Pure Vanilla Cookie is coming with us, isn’t he? He should be able to protect us!”. Strawberry Cookie nodded, “That’s right, but it’s best to just hope that we don’t come across any life-threatening beasts that could give us an existential crisis…”

Wizard Cookie coughed and sputtered for a good thirty seconds at those words as he spoke, “Strawberry Cookie! That is one of the least-likely things to happen! Don’t scare yourself and us…” Pure Daisy Cookie giggled at his words as she thought of that happening, but her giggles faded away as her vision swam and collapsed.

Where am I..?

It’s so quiet…

Pure Daisy Cookie! 

A voice rang out in the darkness, as Pure Daisy Cookie squinted to look at the thing that was calling her.

Huh? Who’s calling me?

Pure Daisy Cookie, can you hear me?

Pure Daisy Cookie nodded as she turned to fully face the voice.

Uhhh… yes, I can, but who are you?

A silver light filled Pure Daisy Cookie’s vision as she looked at the silver being who reminded her of her name.

Oh! It’s you! 

Pure Daisy Cookie ran towards the silver being, her footsteps echoing in the darkness as she ran into the light from the silver being.

Pure Daisy Cookie, I came to warn you! Be careful in Beast-Yeast, the dangers that lie there-

I know, I know.

No, you DON’T know. The 5 Beasts are awakening, please be careful!

Pure Daisy Cookie’s eyes widened as she nodded. 

Okay. I trust you, silver being!

The silver being sighed as it had to remind Pure Daisy Cookie one more time of its name.

Hello :D , I just wanted to say that your cookie run AU on A03 is awesome and I can’t wait to read more when future chapters come out ^^

To answer your question, my inspiration for Pure Daisy was actually the concept of Hope. Buttt when I was looking for reference material online, I found that there were WAYYY too many people with the same idea as me. So, I went to the thing I would connect to Hope first, which was Innocence since young kids who are innocent always hold hope. I did some research on Floriography and looked through cookie ingredients to come to the idea of Pure Daisy Cookie and her flavour, actually.

Personality wise, I wrote Pure Daisy to be somewhat similar to Muichiro from Demon Slayer, since I took the concept of "misty memories" from him. I also added her own quirks like weaving flower crowns over time when I listened to music for ideas. As for her abilities, I took inspiration from a few books I read and poked about the idea of her siblings teaching her magic and combat. Considering the fact that Burning Spice is her eldest brother, it would be quite hard to believe that when growing up with him, she wouldn't have learnt any form of self-defense, hence why I gave her the martial prowess ability.

Whoa, thanks a whole lot on answering my ask fast there! I really didn't expect for my ask to be answered so soon, hopefully I didn't get you off guard from earlier and another one right now XD Pure Daisy Cookie got really vague memories of her past then, with only small pointers to go by to actually know who she is herself... Then going to Beast Yeast is gonna be a whole different ordeal that she had to go through, angst included on everyone without her knowing the details;;; On a different side of thinking, I kept imagining Pure Daisy Cookie's taking on adult form in the past but as of now, she's that of a kid in terms of height like Gingerbrave and her personality as simply Daisy Cookie, sorry if I ended up going on a ramble here- (Don't forget the character story too! I kept getting HSR vibes by reading her character stories for some reason- /bonk)

Her Beast-Yeast arc is gonna be crazy, you can trust me on that! Her vague memories will probably a pointer that guides her through Beast-Yeast, and there may or may not be a few breakdowns on her end. And you're pretty much right about both her forms! She's shorter than Custard III since she reformed later than when Custard III was baked, and her past form was about Gingerbrave's height.

Okay, so ironing out the details, Pure Daisy Cookie pretty much has a misty memory of her siblings and bonding with them. She sometimes can hear their voices in her mind (little spoiler for upcoming chapters) as she can remember what they said to her and how they speak too.

As for your second question, Pure Daisy Cookie can remember herself pleading for her siblings but not all of the dialogue. Let's say, the words she said to Mystic Flour and Shadow Milk and that's about it? So, she doesn't feel any form of guilt or responsibility since she can't remember the whole story.

As for your last question, Pure Daisy Cookie does remember that she is a Virtue, and in her dreams, figured out that she was the Virtue of Innocence, but still isn't aware she's the Virtue of Hope.

Untitled Hope: Chapter 3

Pure Daisy Cookie settled into a corner, reading her book as the meeting went on. Of course, she was mostly ignoring the progress, since she was more focussed on her book. In the meantime, Pure Vanilla Cookie decided to ask Gingerbrave about how they found Pure Daisy Cookie.

Gingerbrave looked up as he heard the question, with a sense of nostalgia in his eyes as he spoke.

“Oh, that day we were going to find Sea Fairy Cookie, to see if she could join our cause, but just when we reached, we saw a small figure just sitting there… and she was just staring into the distance, like she just had a long dream and just woke up. It was as if she was lost, so Chilli Pepper Cookie went up to ask her just that…” From that point, Chilli Pepper Cookie took up the story, “The kid told me she wasn’t exactly lost, more like a wanderer. I told her it was a little dangerous for a little pipsqueak as small as her to be travelling alone, so we took her in. Wizard Cookie was the one who noticed her skill with magic.”

Wizard Cookie nodded, “That’s right, Daisy Cookie’s mana output was huge, and I still couldn’t figure out if she was suppressing it or not! Even I think she could end up to be a great mage like the Headmaster of the Blueberry Yoghurt Academy with the amount of mana I could see radiating from her.”

Strawberry Cookie added, “She was so small back then, and we couldn’t just leave her there. So, we took her in, and that’s how Daisy Cookie came to travel with us…”

Pure Vanilla Cookie, after listening to Strawberry Cookie finish the story, nodded and said, “Interesting. So you found her in a Northeast part of Earthbread it seems… you said she had a lot of mana right? How come I can’t detect it now?”

Wizard Cookie had the answer to that question, “Well… with such mana flowing out from her body, she paints a HUGE target on her back, like she’s screaming to the Cake Monsters ‘COME AND GET ME!!!!!!!!’ So, I taught her how to suppress her mana.” The answer he gave satisfied Pure Vanilla Cookie, while the little group looked over to the small child who was now playing with some paper, folding it. 

Dark Cacao Cookie, who was skilled in origami (one of my hcs) decided to go and take a look at what the little one was folding this time.

Pure Daisy Cookie looked up at Dark Cacao Cookie’s towering frame, not intimidated or scared in the least, and decided the best course of action was to hand him some paper, opening her little mouth to ask him a question.

“Origami?” she asked, in an innocent tone that melted everyone’s hearts.

Dark Cacao Cookie, surprised by her lack of intimidation and fear, nodded as he sat next to Pure Daisy Cookie on the floor and picked up a piece of paper as purple as his Soul Jam. Upon seeing this, Pure Daisy Cookie decided to show him one of her origami creations: a paper frog.

“It jumps,” she said, demonstrating how to make the origami frog jump as she pressed her finger on the back of the frog and made it leap quite a far distance. The innocent gesture melted everyone’s hearts as such.

Golden Cheese Cookie’s eyes almost turned into hearts as her heart of gold determined “This child must be protected at all costs.”

Hollyberry Cookie was admiring the simplicity of Pure Daisy Cookie’s origami skills as Dark Cacao Cookie, who was smiling for the first time in perhaps YEARS, taught the little cookie how to fold a paper crane. Pure Daisy Cookie took to his lesson quickly, her face forming a little pout as she concentrated on making a paper crane. 

“And then… like this?” she asked, pushing in a corner to make the wings and finally folding up the neck of the crane to form a head and then a beak. Dark Cacao Cookie nodded, liking how Pure Daisy Cookie paid so much attention to detail.

“Perfect. Your skills in origami are admirable, perhaps it could rival mine,” he replied, as his fingers twisted and folded the paper in a quick and swift way to form yet another paper crane. Pure Daisy Cookie’s eyes widened at his sheer speed of folding.

“Woah! How did you do that? It was so cool!” she exclaimed, and Dark Cacao Cookie let out… a chuckle?! He was laughing at Pure Daisy Cookie’s childish innocence! The sight of the two enjoying themselves was almost adorable, as Dark Cacao Cookie guided the little cookie’s hands into methods that increased her speed of folding the paper cranes.

Hollyberry Cookie gasped, it had been almost a decade since she heard Dark Cacao Cookie laugh! Even before she had been sealed away, she had rarely even heard her friend let out a laugh or two.

Gingerbrave smiled at seeing Pure Daisy Cookie make a new friend, and an unofficial break ensued as they let the two enjoy their paper origami lesson.

The break was soon over, and Pure Daisy Cookie was yet again left to her own devices as the starter team and the Ancients finalised who was going to Beast-Yeast. Clotted Cream Cookie had also arrived during that break time, surprised at seeing Pure Daisy Cookie and was introduced prior to the continuation of the meeting.

Pure Vanilla Cookie spoke, “And with that… I suggest the small expedition party will consist of Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie… and myself.” Everyone nodded, but that was when Pure Daisy Cookie spoke up, in a very serious tone, “I want to go too.”

All heads turned to Pure Daisy Cookie, who had made her way to the table by then. Chilli Pepper Cookie remarked, “Not a chance, kiddo. Beast-Yeast is full of dangerous monsters that can swallow you whole and EAT YOU!”

Pure Daisy Cookie decided to come up with the most unhinged reply she could think of, “Then I’ll cook them and eat them first!”

The Council was immediately startled by just how blunt Pure Daisy Cookie was. Pure Vanilla Cookie sighed and decided to give the final say.

“Seeing as the little one is determined to go to Beast-Yeast… I suppose we can take her. However, if it gets too dangerous, I will send her home immediately,” he turned to Pure Daisy Cookie, who was listening as she nodded.

“Deal!” she said, eyes blazing with determination.

Epilogue:

Pure Vanilla Cookie stared at the map. The Tower of Frozen Waves was found near Beast-Yeast at the time Gingerbrave and his friends found Daisy Cookie, so… with Daisy Cookie’s abundance in mana, her seemingly untrained power and her mysterious origins… could it be?

Untitled Hope - Character Story 2

(Chapter 1 - Cleared!)

Character Story 2:

When Pure Daisy Cookie first woke up, she found herself in a field full of flowers. Daisy flowers, to be exact. A throbbing sensation pushed through her mind, with a loud and high pitched sound ringing in her ears. The only thought in her mind then, was,

“Who am I..? Why can’t I… remember?”

Pure Daisy Cookie travelled around the area, hoping to find the answers to her mysterious and mist-filled past. However, the clues only came at night, when she fell asleep.

In her dreams, Pure Daisy Cookie met a silver light that took the form of a cookie. She asked the questions that first came to her mind. The silver being’s lips curled into a slight and coy smirk as it replied, “You’re simply a flower amongst thousands. And yet, you’re the most innocent of them all,”

It was only then when Pure Daisy Cookie woke up, surrounded by daisies once again as she remembered her name.

“I’m Pure Daisy Cookie.”

Untitled Hope, Chapter 1

So after MUCH consideration and writing, I’ve decided to post Untitled Hope’s chapters here as well as on Wattpad and AO3. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1:

“Because I’ve found how unkind and cruel this world truly is…”

“Compared to what I’ve imagined and dreamed about…”

Pure Daisy Cookie hummed a sad song, occasionally letting the lyrics out as she weaved her flower crown while hiding in her treetops. She looked down to the ground, hearing a voice call out for her.

“DAISY COOKIEEEEEE!!!!”

Pure Daisy Cookie grinned her childish smile and jumped down from her position in the treetops, summoning plants to make a soft bed for her to land on, and leaves flew into the air as she landed in the soft grass.

She yelled, “COMING!” as she ran over to meet up with her friends. Her short little legs ran through the fields of grass and flowers as she met up with her friends and asked, “Where to next? Back to the Kingdom?” Gingerbrave shook his head and replied, “No! We’re going to the Pure Vanilla Kingdom, remember? The Council meeting to decide who goes to Beast-Yeast is today!’ 

Pure Daisy Cookie gasped and nodded, “Right! I completely forgot…”

Wizard Cookie spoke next, “This is a matter of extreme importance, Daisy Cookie! How could you be so abstracted?!”

When hearing the word “abstracted”, Pure Daisy Cookie looked utterly confused (imagine the surprised Pikachu face). She asked, “What’s ‘abstracted’?”. The other cookies sighed and looked towards Wizard Cookie. Chili Pepper Cookie remarked, “Hey, Pointy Hat, didn’t we agree not to use fancy words like that around the kid-whose-younger-than Custard Cookie III?” 

The banter continued as the small group of six continued to make their way, with Strawberry Cookie reassuring that the argument between Chili Pepper Cookie and Wizard Cookie was not her fault. And with that, the little group continued on their merry way to the Pure Vanilla Kingdom.

“Sooooo… are we there yet?” asked Pure Daisy Cookie. The question was followed with some replies of “nope” and “that’s the (x) number of times you’ve asked, Daisy Cookie” as they went through the Pilgrim’s Path.

Eventually, after quite a long time, they reached the portal that would take them to the floating castle of the Vanilla Kingdom.

“Wow… so this is the Vanilla Kingdom?!” exclaimed Pure Daisy Cookie, as she happily went through the portal and appeared at the iconic waffle cone gates of the Vanilla Kingdom.

“Yep! Trust me, we were excited to be here too the first time we arrived!” replied a smiling Gingerbrave. Strawberry Cookie remarked, “The place looks so different now… it’s not ruined and there’s not even a speck of debris to be seen anywhere!”

A husky voice echoed through the dark, “That’s thanks to the Raisin Villagers, I hope you’re enjoying the view,”

Black Raisin Cookie stepped out of the dark as she spoke, startling the others but only making Pure Daisy Cookie gasp in surprise and amazement.

“Wow..! You just appeared right there! How’d you do it?!”

Black Raisin Cookie was quickly overwhelmed by Pure Daisy Cookie’s small but innocent questions like, “Are those your Raisin Crows? How did you train them? What happened to your arm?”

It took the whole Brave team to calm Pure Daisy Cookie down, and along the way to the castle, Black Raisin Cookie slowly answered all of the little cookie’s questions.

And soon enough, they made it to the Solarium of Unity, where the Ancients awaited.
