Look it's not my fault that WWX is parent shaped. That boy is a born caretaker he would absolutely develop oldest daughter syndrome even with Jiang Yanli around to help.

Just picture like... 15? year old JC squaring up to Nie Mingjue like "Nuh-uh WWX is my big brother and I'm a sect leader you don't get to tell us what to do."

Omg lmao yeah Jiang Yanli is absolutely delighted with JC's new favourite pastime and is happily pulling strings like the benign overlord she deserves to be.

Hmm I'm picturing a JC who is a couple years younger than canon? So there wasn't as much direct competition being shoved at them? Who is young enough that WWX will stand up to his parents for him, life debt be damned. A younger JC who grows up knowing that his older siblings are the only people in the world with whom he can be a kid and not a Sect Heir.
