Brotherly Dymanics

One brother finds the other one struggling and when they try to help, they get pushed away. but they refuse to leave their brother alone

"You're not alone, you hear me?"

"You can be sure about one thing and that's me having your back."

One brother is seeking forgiveness from their brother.

"I don't even care about what happend. You're my brother."

"Whatever happened, we'll get through it together."

One brother plays nurse to the other brother.

"Don't worry, I'm staying right here."

"Just rest. I've got you."

"Get better soon, brother."

They should not be awake right now, but both of them are.

"Well, at least neither of us is getting their beauty sleep. Even though you do need it more."

One brother has fucked up and now they have to tell their parents.

"I will bring you food if they jail you."

"I'm not the least favourite son anymore."

"Okay, I'm going to take the fall with you. But next time I fuck up, I expect you to do the same."

I just can't get over that one scene in Dept Q where Jasper gets threatened and Carl's Protective Dad Mode™ is instantly activated. And I don't even mean the whole Full Metal Jacket Crazy that Carl goes into. I mean the small bits leading up to Carl losing his shit with the guy who dared threaten Jasper.

The creepy speech, the small but very scary way he grabs Jasper's leg, the way that Jasper's eyes emote so.much.fear, there's just this silent terrified fear that instantly tells Carl something. is.wrong. And the subtle way that Jasper's fear and terrified eyes, and the presence of stranger danger, makes Carl's (rare) happiness at seeing his stepson has actually turned up to meet him, just drop from his face.

Instant Dad Mode Activated™

The whole series was fantastic, but for me, that one scene just * chef's kiss * 🤌🤌🤌

You're safe now. You did good coming here. You always come here if you're in trouble, you hear me? Always." Hop wraps his arm around Steve tighter, pulling him further into the warmth of the house
