Watching hawks
prey over a fearful henhouse.
The longer they wait,
the hungrier they get.
Ribs grow
hung over.
There is only more of you,
ever-growing.

Years pass and I meet different people from around the world.
The girl is far and gone from my mind,
pushed away by the waves,
and tangled underwater,
in knots of seaweed.
I meet people from Australia, China, Holland, Italy, Germany,
even some who feel swept away themselves.
But the girl from Mochimune remains lost at sea.
…
Post of all 3 compiled parts going up soon

10 years ago I woke up from a dream dripping with sea water.
The water poured from my skin, my nose, my mouth and my eyes.
I ran to my parents room and sat on the edge of their bed as they wiped the sweat from my forehead, the snot from my nose, the drool from my mouth, and the tears from my eyes.
The girl from Mochimune no longer existed and the longer I spent outside of my own mind,
the further she receded into my memory.

10 years ago I sat on a beach in Mochimune next to a girl I’d never met.
We looked at each other but didn’t speak,
somehow I knew that no matter what I said,
it wouldn’t matter.
We sat in silence,
breaking our cold stare from the horizon only to look down in shock at the deafening waves beneath us.
After a few hours a large wave came and swept us off the ledge we were resting on.
The wave pulled me far offshore and spun me around until I could no longer find the surface.

(God, I miss my childhood friends!)
