With help from my best friend, repotted the aloe into my heirloom copper pot, and gave the African violets a new home in a lovely glass boot. Then hit them hard with my crystal magic and reset my kitchen altar for the next few weeks.

Disclaimer: I am having an overall good day, venting ahead...

What am I even doing with my life? I had time this morning, I could have consulted the cards, picked out crystals for the day, but no.

My overconfident ass, loaded my smiling toddler into the car to visit his cousin.

Did I remember to eat breakfast myself? Nope.

Did I at least put on my go to talismans? Nope.

Are the kids under 5 acting like kids under 5? You bet.

Where's a rose quartz when you need one? What am I even doing to myself? Saturday was so great, because I did ALL of my routine in the morning. I'm so hangry... parenting is so much work sometimes.

Getting crafty today, home made loofah, 100% cotton.

Kind of an obscure Witch Tip, but I noticed the wooden lid to one of my candles was perfect for crystal gridding! Even if you have a plain wooden lid you can use a wood burner and create your own pattern to grid on.

Witch tip: Silica Packets

f you’re like me and eat a ludicrous amount of seaweed you have a bunch of these boys around:  

These are silica packets. There basically very absorbent sand and if you live somewhere humid like I do they can be the handiest things ever. I collect fresh herbs and if you don’t get them all the way dry they will rot :( in their little jars.  Answer: air dry on the counter for a day or two and then drop in the packet. This also helps preserve the smell. These rose petals are nearly a month old but are still very pink and smell strongly of roses. The lavender was completely fresh going in with no trouble.

Lastly, I like using some of my paper supplies out in a field. Which is kinda bad for the paper… Luckily, you can slip one of these bad boy between the pages of a heavy book or into the card box and it will keep them from breaking down.

Witchy Hack: If you or the people you live with are sensitive to incense/smudge smoke, grab your essential oil diffuser and some sage oil and cleanse away. No smoke needed. Mist is just fine.

Went out with a friend today and splurged on a new tarot deck! This is my go to reading for new tarot and oracle decks. Looks like this is the one to grab when I'm overthinking things and need to take a stand. Basically every day right now... lol!

Three questions answered with my runes this morning. I’m still feeling a little blue, but I have some things I can shift focus on.

I really like using my runes or cards as a way to increase mindfulness. I can take something in the moment that’s really pulling my focus and ask for some more information. Sometimes I get great insight, sometimes just a mirror of what I already know, or an obvious “Girl, you know what you’re doing, don’t play dumb!” 🤣
