HxH conversational theory

Okay so here’s the thing,

I’m going to hard launch 🚀 an opinion/theory that I had for a while and it is absolutely about the current character that I’m studying 📖 which is Hisoka.

The theory in question is in regards to Hisoka’s race/ethnicity and I believe that ultimately he is of mixed race which doesn’t surprise me at all considering that I find that to be the case for a lot of the HxH characters that I studied but the main thing that I want to discuss is that there is this belief that Hisoka’s main cultural influence is French culture which ultimately I disagree with for a few reasons.

The main aspect is of course his theme song which originated from flamenco music which came from the Romani people in Andalusia ( that’s a city in Spain) but along with that there are other characteristics that I will dive into a bit more when I get to the adulthood unit of his Character study but ultimately his character never gave one with a heavy French influence.

Exactly like Killua and his siblings deserve justice

I just read a one-shot co-written by Togashi and I honestly can’t understand how the fandom, in general, prefers Silva over Ging… I mean, yeah, Ging is a terrible father, and I guess unfortunately a lot of people relate to the abandonment he put Gon through, and that’s a big part of why he gets so much hate (which is well-deserved, lmao).

But I don’t know… when I look at how Killua’s childhood basically boiled down to being manipulated by his father to turn him into his future heir…

The little dog Killua took care of only to be forced to rip its heart out because they tricked him into believing it had rabies (it’s heavily implied Silva was lying).

The nanny Killua considered like a mother when he was a kid his only somewhat sane parental figure. She was also the one who cared for him whenever he got hurt from his training. She mysteriously disappeared after telling Killua he was a good person and standing up against his future as an assassin.

And the training he went through, which was straight-up torture… To make him immune to poison, his family would mix it into his daily food and drinks, which apparently caused him to faint throughout the day. Or worse — the training to resist electricity and pain, which basically involved getting whipped with electric cables, making him pass out too.

Even Bisky once pointed out how it’s actually surprising that Killua can still smile today, considering the monstrous power he gained through all that torture.

Now don’t get me wrong I love Silva (and the whole Zoldyck family) as characters because they’re badass asf, but their cruelty is getting so overlooked in the fandom lately. I’ve literally seen people say Killua’s childhood “wasn’t even that bad” ??

For real, on some X factor shit 🤣

The funniest thing about reading fandom stuff on the Saja Boys, as someone with a background in the performing arts, is the sheer number of people commenting on how Jinu must have worked his butt off to find four random demons and teach them to be Kpop stars while also running everything behind the scenes for all the technical stuff.

And like, yes, that's a super funny headcanon, I've absolutely been giggling at them.

But also, with my personal experience with the performing arts... absolutely no way Jinu was the only performer Gwi-Ma got onto his side. Like, the I've met people in way better circumstances than Jinu who would absolutely sell their soul to make it big. And the fact that all five of these guys look extremely similar to Jinu even in their demonic forms indicates, to me at least, that there's a good chance that they were all former human musicians themselves.

Therefore, with all this in mind, I will put forth the humble suggestion:

Jinu didn't round up a random group of demons behind Gwi-Ma's back and train them from the ground up.

Jinu held freaking auditions behind Gwi-Ma's bacl and brutally narrowed it down American Idol style to the best of the best in order to assemble a crack team for his plan, and the other four members were the ones who made the cut.

"But Trickster, he was the only one who would get anything from Gwi-Ma for doing this, what would the other four be doing this for?"

For the chance to be performing in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans and be worshiped as an idol, naturally. I mean, have you seen the things real-world people will go through to get a chance at that? And these guys have already sold their souls for a chance at this, why not team up with the best performer in the demon realm for another chance at it?

Also, I think Baby was in charge of their TikTok account. He's just got that vibe to him, you know?
