Tonight's dinner was a simple shepherd's pie. I used Swede as my topping instead of potatoes. It is much healthier and flavourful! Tonight's dinner was a delicious and healthy Aloo Gobi. It was healthy and filling and it was even Vegan! I made it without any oil or butter and I just used freshly sourced Organic Vegetables. Last night, I made this delicious Victoria Sandwich Cake. I absolutely love this cake, I find it really easy to make. What I love most about a Victoria Sandwich is how light it is. I would almost prefer this to a chocolate cake. It is also quick and cheap to make. Top tips for making scones: 1) Try to keep the dough as wet as possible 2) Do not over work the dough or they will not rise properly 3) Use butter straight from the fridge 4) Instead of cutting the butter into cubes try grating it! Here is a picture of some lovely Romanesco Broccoli. What I love about Romanesco Broccoli is the pattern of the actual head of the broccoli. This pattern is known as Fibonacci or golden spiral. You can find the same pattern in sunflowers, pinecones and pineapples. Romanesco broccoli can be eaten raw but it is lovely cooked in spicy curries or soups. It is very high in fibre and Vitamin C and it boosts your immune system and gives healthy skin!
