as for the writing prompts tedbeard cooking together? beard flies to kansas and finds ted absolutely fine, totally cool, real breezy, coaching a football club and everything is fine until he realizes ted’s wearing an extra shirt, wears a jacket a size smaller and his kitchen is basically barren given henry’s on a school trip this week. he was wasting away. so, naturally he cooks for (with) ted.

ter really didn’t mean to starve himself. that being said, chemo for his colon cancer really messed with his appetite. it’s stage 2, manageable. he really doesn’t want to worry anyone.

and maybe, just maybe, beard is married to jane and ted crushing- just as he had for the past 25 years. because after college beard disappeared. so ted tried to move on. married michelle, became the happiest man in the world the day henry was born

and here he was. in kansas again. he lost michelle. henry was growing up.

and he may never have beard again

All it takes is one bad hunt. It comes with the territory. It's something Trevor thought he's long since made peace with. He just never expected to be clinging to life past that point; he never imagined he would have reservations about doing what he knows is right for a hunter to do: killing a monster.

He did try to go though with it; Alucard was the one to keep him from the edge of his silver blade. He felt sickened by his own relief. One nasty, venomous bite and there were two mosters instead of one, both of them one big joke — an ugly one too. The werewolf bite had made him even more of a moster than Alucard was; now he didn't know if it was the human of the vampire in him that insisted in keeping him alive.

"You can't fight it forever," Alucard tells him, his voice level and still eerily audible over the groans and snarls erupting from Trevor's throat. "The longer you resist it, the worse it'll be."

Trevor grips Alucard's hand to his chest with bulging knuckles, bones cracking as they shift and lengthen painfully under the skin. It's fruitless gesture, but significant. He must be kept there at all costs, anchored to the floor, underground in the hold — to have the walls come down on him if must be, if even layers of rock and stone won't suffice to shield him from the pull of the unforgiving moon. He can feel it all the way down there through the dirt, relentlessly tearing him apart at the seams. Every month since he got bitten has been worse than the last.

"No use denying the inevitable. You'll be better off just letting it happen," Alucard says and something ugly twists within Trevor, an ancient mistrust raring its head.

"I'd rather you kill me before then," he gets out in a painful rasp, words struggling through gritted teeth.

"I won't make your child an orphan, Belmont," Alucard answers, evenly. He's looking at Trevor with calm expectance. The hand on his chest weighs like a stone. His boots feel painfully tight around his feet, his head and toes throb on a torturous pulse.

"I just don't want—"

"To be a monster like me?"

"I don't want to kill anyone," Trevor aims for a growl but it comes out as a pitiful, wounded sound.

"I won't let you," Alucard promises, sweetly, and the pressure of his hand lightens. "Let me do this for you."

The panic in him heightens when he feels the restraints binding him coming undone. "Don't—!" Trevor lets out, frantic and desperate.

"The night is not so bad, Belmont," Alucard speaks, his voice morphing into something metallic, otherworldly. "Let me guide you through it."

With his last shred of consciousness Trevor realises Alucard is shifting too. And Trevor is right behind him.

"You can do it, Itadori."

It's easier said that done — it's what Yuuji would like to say but doesn't dare to, self-conscious about the why his voice is probably going to sound if he were to attempt to speak. He's trying to keep his focus from the burning sensation in his lower half, but it's hard. His entire body is feeling the strain now, skin glowing with heat and slick with a shrouding sheen of sweat. The longer he endures it, the harder it gets.

“Come on, brother… I know you can handle more than this," Todo is husking right in his hear, which is almost as unhelpful as the weight of his body pressing down on him, folding him over himself closer and closer to the ground until…

"You can take it," Todo murmurs, encouragingly, the deep rumble of his voice vibrating through Yuuji's back. "Just a few inches more…"

"Alright, that's enough!" Yuuji exclaims, a little choked up, and uncerimoniously shrugs his best friend off of his shoulders, which is no real feat for him. He is feeling the strain in his hips, even though if he didn't manage to complete the split.

"But you were so close, brother," Todo objects, getting back up on his feet and dusting the dirt from the training grounds off his (distractingly) bare arms. "Your pelvis almost touched the ground this time!"

"It's close enough to a full split, thanks! Besides, it was starting to sound like—!" Yuuji stops himself, face glowing red from more than just effort.

"What was starting to sound like what, brother?" Todo asks with a shit eating grin.

Yuuji squints at him in reproach. Oh, that bastard knew exactly what he was doing!

At the Girl Talk headquarters? Oh, absolutely. And Trent is there too from time to time.

Edit: oh my God, Barbara too, actually! She would need some convincing at first, but as soon as she hears Rebecca will be there she’s immediately game. Trent would live for her, I think.

Doesn’t have to be a ficlet or anything but what is the most wild seemingly unfitting Ted Lasso AU you think you could actually make work? (I personally can’t imagine them outside of being footballers but I need my eyes opened)

This isn’t something I’ve given serious thought to or a fic project or anything but the timing of this ask is wild bc literally just yesterday the idea of p0rn actors AU popped into my head. Specifically the idea of straight man Ted Lasso getting hired by this gay p0rn production house and being met with deep mistrust. I guess I was thinking about where Ted’s hyper-positive attitude in the workplace would be (even more) nightmarish to deal with. Especially for Roy, who gets encouraged to try working with the one hire in the agency he can’t stand (Jamie.)

I haven’t really thought about it in detail bc, as you said, imagining any of these characters in any other profession just feels Wrong. They’re all in the right universe, I think, can’t make anything work better than that <3

Oooh this is an intriguing one! Slow burn: I'm gonna go with Miwa. I'll be her Mechamaru, but hopefully I won't die before we confess+consummate LOL. Plus she has this sweetness to her where I think she works best in a more earnest scenario like slow burn, as opposed to fake dating or en-to-lovers. Fake dating: Immediately I was like, it has to be Todo. I just think he is really well suited for fake dating for some reason haha. I think he would take it seriously as an endeavour (since he likes to give his all to things), but would also enjoying teasing you and stuff. I think he would be the one who has the self-awareness to know earlier on that he does want you, and I think he'd be good at coaxing you along past more and more lines. Until your tongues are down each others' throats and he's knuckle-deep in you and you're like "this is... still just for the fake dating thing right?" And he's like, "Of Course, Brother! How can we give a realistic performance in public if we don't know each other's bodies intimately?" with a big, knowing smirk on his face. (LOLLL. I can't help imagining this in a Todoita context so the 'me/you' here is like fulfilling a Yuuji role haha) Enemies to lovers: Well it really has to be Mai, doesn't it?? "Todo-kun is right, you did pick 'truth' already so you can't weasel your way out of the question, Okkotsu," Momo insists, clearly inebriated.

Tragically, they hit that point of their group night out where the soju has gotten the best of them all and no one seems in a rush to come to Yuuta's defense.

"Come on, Okkotsu, answer his question already!"

"We'll definitely find out who he likes if we ask Inumaki-kun to ask the question instead!"

"I-I don't think that would be ethical," Yuuta attempts, desperately.

"And infringing the sacred rules of Truth-Or-Dare is?" Todo huffs out, nose crinckling dangerously in distate. "If you aren't willing to be truthful you shouldn't pick 'truth' in the first place, Okkotsu!"

Yuuta's eyes shoot to the side, panickedly trying to signal Itadori to come collect his… friend before things escalate in classic Todo fashion. Unfortunately, the pink-haired sorcerer is still coolly leaning at the bar, chatting up a pretty young woman who's seemingly interested in whatever he's talking about. Less than an hour ago he was sitting with them, clearly feeling Todo's thigh up under the table. Yuuta really doesn't understand what the deal is with the two of them — he feels like their relationship status would be more interesting to delve into than his own. Of course, he wouldn't dare to blurt that out, and it's just hs luck no one else seems to agree with him.

"More importantly, why are you so ashamed of telling us the truth, Okkotsu?" Kugisaki unhelpfully butts in, getting into his face. "Is your crush here tonight?"

Yuuta leans back, uncomfortably. He can see Maki pretending not to be paying attention to them out of the corner of his eye. It's not just that he's too embarassed to let them all know who is crush is — it's that both of them are sitting right there that night.

He fixes his gaze on Inumaki instead.

Inumaki is staring right back at him, alcohol dusting his cheeks with pink and a sly curl pulling at his lips as the gears in his brains begin to turn. Yuuta swallows, thickly.

Alucard x Trevor of Sypha (Your choice) They take a very slow, but drastic approach to making Alucard more comfortable to being in bed with another person after the twins tried to murder him. The ultimate goal is to have him accept some consensual, but still "extreme" pain.

Ohhh this one was messed UP (so of course I dug into this concept a little and found a flavour I liked.)
