Wanderer AU - Part 1

My new Noblesse AU. Happy 2025!

Alba

Younger brother of Karl and father of Rachel, Kalev and two other children

Lord of Rukedonya, a medium-sized nation isolated from the rest of the world by its surrounding waters; most of the traffic here consists of merchant ships delivering resources Rukedonya cannot produce locally as the harsh, snowy climate shows no mercy for its inhabitants nearly year-round and only loosens its chilling grip during the short two to three months of mellower weather, which the people call “the sanctuary’s blessings”; everyone then takes the golden opportunity to replenish their supplies and make preparations for the long winter’s return

Despite some unfavorable living conditions, his predecessors never left this seemingly barren land and instead guarded it with their lives because buried deep within the heart of this land is an abundance of one extremely precious and sought-after material which resembles a red gemstone, commonly known as the “bloodstone”

Originally a being from a higher dimension with no physical form but chose to incarnate himself as a human, driven by his unconditional desire for service-to-others as an earthly “wanderer”

In his case, he chose to come to planet Earth to walk amongst those he wishes to bring enlightenment through awakening their compassion and wisdom, and his mission is to inspire others to pursue the path of service-to-others thus achieving said enlightenment

Able to return to his higher “home” dimension whenever he chooses to, but will most likely remain on Earth as he cannot bring himself to ignore mankind’s suffering 

Known as “Alba” in his current nth incarnation as a human; technically “he” does not have a “name” in his home dimension, as it is unnecessary since his kind exists as a shared memory complex that transcends the individual thus the concept and usage of a name/identity is redundant and only used for self-identification when manifesting in front of lower dimension beings as those beings need labels to conceptualize existence

Has had countless previous incarnations on Earth, all with different names and identities

Each time his physical body dies and his soul gets a new incarnation, he temporarily forgets his mission, or, his reason for coming to Earth, as a side effect of descending upon this lower dimension; fortunately, he always remembers who he is, usually before the age of ten in the human way of timekeeping, sometimes earlier and sometimes later but never later than the age of sixteen

His strong sense of service to mankind helps him pass the first test incarnations face: rediscovering his purpose, a challenge even for the many wanderers like him who leave the comfort of their own higher dimensions to come to Earth; those who forget their purpose or mingle too much in the murky depths of human nature end up throwing themselves deep into the cycle of karma and unable to return to their home dimensions until they absolve themselves from said karma

Came to Earth after the number of humans calling for aid accumulated to a certain point; some members of his kind choose to walk amongst humans as their way of service while others remain in their dimension and deliver visions and dreams, with “Alba” serving mankind in the former method

His very first incarnation was named “Alma” who looked very similar if not identical in appearance to his current incarnation “Alba”

In addition to always overcoming the veil of forgetting with each new incarnation, sometimes he also remembers past incarnations with varying levels of detail which usually happens between his early twenties and mid thirties but remembers them as early as six years old as Alba

As Alba, coincidentally remembers his most recent six consecutive incarnations which all ended prematurely with three killed by humans and three succumbing to sickness

With much detail, in his three lives of death by others he recalls his fellow villagers turning him into their human sacrifice, sustaining an axe wound to the heart while failing to defend his siblings from debt collectors, and ingesting poisoned food when he was a woman and the husband wanted to get rid of her because she was barren; in his lives of sickness he suffered from a fatal tooth infection, a malformed heart, and a massive tumor in his abdomen

There is no way to tell if his incarnation after “Alba” will remember their life as Alba, or recall any other previous incarnations that he currently has knowledge of, for that matter, as these moments of clarity are neither consistent nor cumulative

Has vague impressions of his first incarnation as Alma and only enough to piece together some moments and not enough to recall how he died or what he did, but he does remember how he felt as Alma and that was his never-changing devotion and desire to help

Has encountered two, and only two, fellow higher dimension incarnates/wanderers (from other social complexes of origin) who were both able to recognize him as he recognized them and both have asked him whether he sees the completion of his mission happening in his current lifetime as Alba to which he answered no

Has encountered one other fellow wanderer whom he recognized immediately; unfortunately, they did not recognize him and in fact they had forgotten their mission on Earth altogether with no signs of recollection anytime soon though time will tell eventually and Alba is keeping an eye on them as this being currently resides in Rukedonya

Spoke very little in his early childhood because he thought everyone could communicate telepathically like he did with  the entities around him, which he then realized were visible to him only and that only he could feel their presence; at six years old he remembers his true identity which is also when he learns of the nature of these strange entities

In the present day keeps his identity as a wanderer a secret from most people, with his brother Karl as one of the very few aware of such a fact; this information remains undisclosed not only out of safety concerns but also because most would find his story to be absurd and explanations would most likely be futile and met with confusion if not ridicule

Tries to spread compassion and wisdom by other means 

Has a past incarnation of which he remembers nothing except his public execution with the catalyst being him carelessly informing others about his mission on Earth as a non-human being of origin here to spread his people’s teachings, and his community condemned him for possession by a demon or evil spirit of some sort and ended him which is why he is so cautious now, even if no one has the authority to execute him in this society as he is Lord Alba

Even after being betrayed countless times, he has never once given up on his hope for the potential for goodness in humans which is why he will keep incarnating lifetime after lifetime to help them directly as one of them, experiencing their joy and sharing their pain with them instead of going back to the comforts of his dimension

Always experiences some sort of physical pain as yet another side effect of taking on flesh as his essence aligned in infinity, free from the constraints of time and space, doesn’t agree with his bodily nature and form as it is now, by certain interpretations, forcibly transformed and shoved into a weaker, unstable temporary vessel

Almost always has some form of physical disability that accompanies that physical pain, or is directly the cause of said pain

Interestingly his mental condition is always unaffected, as the price he pays to take on a human form is always physical 

As Alba, he was born with a missing leg from the knee, deafness in one ear, and a weak respiratory system which leaves him in a constant state of discomfort especially when exposed to the cold

Always carries a handkerchief on himself with a backup or two due to his near-nonstop coughing and while he doesn’t have other serious issues, the constant strain on his throat can cause occasional bleeding

His brother Karl or another close individual often act as his spokesperson because the constant mucus buildup in his throat makes it hard to speak with clarity and volume unless he clears his throat every few minutes

Supports himself on crutches indoors and allows a servant to pick him up or put him on a wheelchair to transport him upstairs/downstairs or when outdoors where tripping hazards are everywhere, though he always stands for certain public appearances

At some point in time later receives a prosthetic leg and subsequent improved models from one of his subjects which considerably increases his quality of life, for which he is extremely grateful

Sometimes still uses a crutch with his prosthetic leg on days when he’s feeling particularly dizzy or lethargic, or when he is waiting for a new prosthetic, taking it off because he wants to give his knee a break, etc.

Has very slight heterochromia which is nearly unnoticeable unless within a close personal distance

Has no eye sensitivity issues with sunlight and can go out normally during the day but is troubled by weak night vision so carries around a candle or bloodstone lamp if it is particularly dim, though that’s usually not an issue because Karl makes sure shared spaces are properly illuminated

Aforementioned weak night vision can be somewhat addressed by improvements to his diet but the specific ingredients that help his vision also increase his mucus production so he doesn’t bother

Keeps his hair long because his late mother liked it so, otherwise it is nothing but another inconvenience but there are worse things to be inconvenienced by

Has an on-and-off sense of smell but when he can smell things clearly he has a collection of small fragrance bottles he “visits”, all prepared for his enjoyment by none other than his dear Karl

Very talented with the sword despite his physical limitations and luckily he doesn’t need to use it to take another life, which he hates, and instead can just practice the sword as a means of exercise and staying in shape in addition to his regular routines

Not in contact with the mother of his children after the birth of his last child even though they are legally married, unless when they are working together for research, as she comes and goes as she pleases and he somehow hasn’t seen her around after work hours in years despite living in the same place; they are friends and when they do bump into each other the encounters are mild and amicable

Loves his children equally but is especially worried about his eldest

His children are all healthy and strong despite his own health issues which he fortunately did not pass on (and because they’re normal human beings as none of them are wanderers, for whom both physical and/or mental health problems are almost always present for as long as they choose to be wanderers on Earth)

If fertile, chooses to not have children in most of his incarnations as to not form unnecessary attachments further into his almost endless journey on Earth; curiously, as Alba he has not one but four children

His third and fourth child leave Rukedonya together as soon as the fourth comes of age and suggests the plan to the third who is onboard immediately, telling their father and uncle they’re to travel the world in the name of exploration… but the true reason is probably to avoid their eldest sibling whom the third is scared of and the fourth simply wants nothing to do with

Has moments where he wonders about going back to his kind and bidding his friendly farewells to the inhabitants of this lower dimension but will only do so when he sees his mission as complete which is… not happening anytime soon

His kind anticipates his “return” to them eventually and so does he, but they both know they are in each other’s presence even if not physically and they send love and light of the infinity to each other through the power of thought aka “telepathy” which is how they communication and say “all is well”

Has been commented by some to “forgive too easy” with implications of doubting his authority; in reality he forgives because it is not his duty to learn someone else’s life lesson for them, and he harbors no ill will towards those who harm him either as he has no need to intertwine himself in their karma

Forgives but doesn’t forget as he’s not stupid; if possible, would still remove himself from undesirable situations as much as possible unless there is a good enough reason not to

When asked why he goes out of his way to help, responds with a question to the questioner asking whether they’d ignore a bleeding cut on their own body

Expresses gratitude to Karl for caring so much for his wellbeing but requests that he doesn’t interfere with whatever may happen between him and Rachel, without elaborating further as both of them know what this implies

Would enjoy the company of a dog or cat but is unfortunately allergic to them and gets hives and sneezes nonstop (not always allergic to them in all incarnations) 

Always has chapped or irritated skin somewhere that needs constant moisturizing, though it never seems to improve no matter how much ointment he applies

Starts eating less as he ages year by year because even eating food triggers intense coughing that could make him vomit his food anyway; sips on honeyed drinks throughout the day instead and only eats the bare minimum

Misses snacking

Somehow has perfect teeth despite the honey he consumes constantly

Enjoys conch soup but haven’t had it in a very long time, probably sometime in a previous incarnation

Observes the patterns of bigger snowflakes that land on his clothes in appreciation of nature’s beauty even if the cold tortures him

Won’t have any physical handicaps in his next incarnation which is extremely rare

Feels a strong sense of longing and melancholy when watching the sunrise/sunset

Karl

Elder brother of Lord Alba

Originally the heir and the next Lord of Rukedonya but willingly stepped down from that position for his younger brother after a then seven-year-old Alba nonchalantly revealed his true identity to his then fifteen-year-old brother, describing his past identities and future goals with complete detail

Even before Alba’s self-revelation, he always had a hunch that his little brother had great potential and his bright, compassionate aura would become his light of guidance; even though he is the older brother, he strongly believes he was born to follow Alba and not Alba following him

His loyalty to Alba is unshakable and in return Alba trusts him unconditionally, for their brotherly bond transcends family and in their instance, it’s an exchange of souls accepting one another as allies for lifetimes to come

Willing to follow Alba into the future, when Alba is no longer “Alba” and he is no longer “Karl”; their bond is strong enough for them to recognize their new selves in future lifetimes… they do reunite eventually, luckily

This mutual trust that is both intuitive and instant is probably why Alba is comfortable being honest and why Karl never doubts Alba and takes everything seriously while others would’ve laughed it off or scolded him for being delusional

A human whose soul’s origin is native to Earth; has had many past incarnations as a human before his current one as “Karl”

Before his first incarnation as a human, he was a falcon

A master of archery and continues to polish his skills as part of his routine and fortunately, he doesn’t need to use them to kill anyone… for now

Serious and often casually teased about it by Alba

Heavily monitors how bloodstones are used after distributing them to society and reports his findings to Alba followed by joint careful inspection for any abnormalities or areas of concern 

Agrees with Alba that the more dangerous and rarer “true” bloodstones should be kept secret like their ancestors advised; the typical “bloodstone”everyone is familiar with and frequently traded as a valuable item by merchants is just a lesser grade item but recognized as the real deal nonetheless 

Aware that none of his ancestors were able to uncover the true nature of the bloodstone despite endless attempts to search for answers; all current records consist of personal interpretations and anecdotal evidence, but he and Alba haven’t given up yet as their instincts tell them something truly ominous awaits them if they continue to prosper from such an item

Quite concerned about his niece when in reality it is both his niece and nephew that he should worry about yet somehow his nephew has been able to slip under his radar thus far

Will honor his promise to Alba to not interfere with any disastrous outcome that may result between him and Rachel, but will feel guilty for not stepping up regardless

Doesn’t have any biological children and will remain childless for life in this incarnation, but dotes on his apprentice Rosella like he would a child of his own

Cadis

The wanderer whom Alba instantly recognizes and greets but he, unfortunately, doesn’t return the gesture as he had forgotten about his own mission on Earth so now he simply endlessly stares out his window all day because he has nothing else to do

Lives with his stepfather Matthias whom he addresses by name and not “father” or “dad” etc.

Picked up by Matthias as a baby after his biological parents abandoned him

Shows no interest in finding or reconnecting with his biological family and is quite content with what currently is

Has an older twin brother neither he nor Matthias are aware of due to being separated at birth and picked up by different people; currently, both individuals are in very different places and they may or may not cross paths

“Cadis”is his first incarnation on Earth which could possibly explain his lack of experience and the very low drive to help humanity achieve higher spiritual resonance, which was the mission he assigned himself before he came here

A member of a group of benevolent higher density beings who collectively call themselves “Noblesse”; their home is located in a faraway planetary system named “Lukedonia”

His group had contacted humans in the distant past and on multiple occasions as they, just like Alba’s kind, couldn’t ignore mankind’s calls for help and answered their cries

Unfortunately, members of the “Noblesse” had to withdraw from Earth and ceased all attempts to aid humanity through direct contact; the words of wisdom and spiritual guidance, as well as physical artifacts and architectural installations offered to humanity, originally meant for all to access, were coveted and distorted by elite members of the human social hierarchy for their own selfish benefit to exploit all others deemed inferior to them

Shows no signs of remembering his mission and continues to be oblivious to his greater cause… for now

Originally came to Earth with the intent of helping mankind counter temptation and manipulation from entities of a malevolent higher density being group named “Union”, one of the main groups seeking to hinder Earth’s progress towards selflessness and oneness through inciting chaos and lowering Earth’s overall frequency

Instead of being one of Earth’s hidden guardians, at this moment he’s the guardian… of his window 

Attracts immense positive and negative attention from all entities, ranging from creatures and humans to other-density beings due to the natural brilliance of his aura as a wanderer… and his extremely beautiful physical appearance 

Often meets people who either feel an unexplainable urge to kneel to him and become his ally or know they have to get rid of him before he makes an impact

Favorite bed is a coffin with a few pillows inside; somehow, he sleeps the best there and says no thanks to Matthias every time he offers to build him something more comfortable 

Constantly craves a type of noodle that doesn’t exist and finds himself thinking about it every now and then

Can’t do much math so Matthias has to hire someone else to help around their small family business, but he still contributes by standing outside their shop like a mannequin attracting customers

Wonders how Pantao, the hired help, can talk so much and why he doesn’t seem thirsty after all that nonstop chattering with customers since he has never seen him drink water once

Gets free handouts from people all the time but refuses them sometimes because Matthias has warned him taking too much means they’ll owe people favors so he only accepts smaller items

Doesn’t say anything when Matthias asks him what he thinks about them hiring a second helper because the first one has clearly proven he knows how to work that tongue as shown with their boost in sales and returning customers

Mildly relieved that the second hired help, Takekiyo, is less chatty but nonetheless enjoys the newfound liveliness in his household; feels sympathetic towards Takekiyo as he admits he’s been hopping between part-time jobs so he could eventually save up enough to help his little sister get away from their shitty biological father, and how it’d be hard to coordinate since they are in faraway land across the ocean 

Develops a bond with the two new hires and asks Matthias if they can live here in the shop as permanent employees, to which Matthias agrees as this is the first direct request to him Cadis has ever made

Brings home a scruffy brown puppy who stays tiny even after maturing but does its best job as a watchdog

The one who brought home the dog in the first place but lets Pantao and Takekiyo do most of the pet care work anyway

Doesn’t seem to notice when there is dog hair in his food and eats it up like it’s seasoning

Gets nosebleeds easily, presumably from the dry air though he also gets them if he eats too much sweet food

Adds excess sugar or honey to things that don’t really call for further sweetening

Sleeps for exactly eight hours and twenty minutes every night

Doesn’t seem to have any plans for his future as he’s quite content with enjoying himself in the moment, and unsure of what he’ll do or where he’ll go after Matthias dies

Smiles when Pantao tells him he’ll stick with him, and understands that Takekiyo would like to do the same but his sister is still his priority for now

Has never worn jewelry before buying a  random ring at a street market, a joint gift given to him by both Pantao and Takekiyo from combining a portion of their income where they told Cadis to choose something to his liking

Has had people offer him free jewelry but declined them after remembering Matthias’ words, plus he didn’t like the color

Wonders why Lord Alba visits a nobody like him from time to time only to leave with a rather sad expression on his face; again doesn’t remember he in fact is a somebody

Regularly visited by the mysterious traveler Mukul who never enters through the front door and only shows up when no one else is around

Often lets Mukul sleep in his bed for a nap before he takes off again… more like he doesn’t object when the guest makes himself comfortable

Listens to Mukul talk about his wife Gina and daughter Aslaug but never sees them with him

Somehow has perfect eyesight despite reading fine text in dimly lit spaces always

Mildly concerns Matthias when he mindlessly recites certain lines from books, like “you have no right to breathe” or “you have no right to look at me”

Favorite word is kneel

Will have a very painful awakening if he does remember his mission, but that would also be the start of his deep love for humans

Will receive Alba’s personal sword as a farewell gift one day but won’t know it’s there until Alba is gone for good because it will be entrusted to Matthias until the time comes as Cadis won’t be able to refuse it then

Rachel

First child and daughter of Lord Alba

Strict and stoic, her subjects fear her more than they love her

A sword prodigy who still can’t find a sword of complete compatibility and true satisfaction; if someone manages to find her “the” sword, they can procure a massive favor from her

Says she doesn’t want Alba’s sword when he offers it to her but feels slightly envious when he says he’ll give it to someone else then

Originally an entity from another planet of the same density or vibration as Earth that perished to self-destruction since members of her kind couldn’t peacefully coexist due to constant power struggles and the desire to dominate; reincarnated on Earth as a human when she decided that she’d had enough of war and wanted to start over on another planet that cultivates the vibrations of love and compassion

Her old planet is no longer suitable for life and all members of their kind have received soul transfers to other planets similar to Earth, or to Earth itself depending on what they need

Brought herself to Earth but despite her past life’s decision to forsake the pursuit of war, the mechanism of forgetting that coincides with new life on Earth and the deep, buried drive to dominate are the main factors that halt her progress towards polarizing towards compassion; can say that her soul is failing to “remember” why she is here in the first place

On her 17th incarnation on Earth and currently lives as “Rachel”, in every past life as a human she has not been able to decide the direction of her polarization of her own volition, which is why she must try again with each reincarnation

Struggling on the soul level because part of her cannot let go of the past yet she longs to move towards a brighter light and knows she needs it; unaware of this internal conflict and will continue to be oblivious to it in lifetimes to come unless she can learn to forgive others and herself first

Disagrees with her father’s constant emphasis on service-to-others and thinks his beliefs are based on false kindness because she suspects his altruism is just a mask for his own insecurities, whatever they may be… meanwhile simultaneously admires him for his unwavering commitment to his shallow hopes

Ultimately views Alba as weak and one she needs to dispose of sooner or later; ironically, thinks she is doing both him and their people a favor by releasing him from his pain and waking her people up from the false daydream he irresponsibly gave them

Doesn’t know that Alba is aware of what she truly thinks of him and that he doesn’t mind dying at the hands of his daughter because he has been through worse betrayals, but also because he loves her, and all of his children too much to save himself if they truly wished to end him

Has never been in contact with a true bloodstone precisely due to Alba withholding this information from her since he had correctly predicted that his daughter would head on the path of service-to-self

Interestingly, from her own perspective, thinks everything she does is service-to-others, just not in accordance with her father’s ideology because he doesn’t know what her people truly need… thus suffers from a certain internal dissonance that she more or less denies and later becomes numb to

Justifies everything she does with her “love” for Alba and her love’s duty to him is precisely why she must correct him… the indecisiveness of her soul regarding its polarization can have some strange effects on her values and in this incarnation manifests as a twisted admiration for Alba where she wants to kill him as soon as possible but is also curious about keeping him around for longer to see what kind of ridiculous tricks he has yet to display

Takes advantage of the fact that she is Alba’s favorite child

Knows her father (and uncle) have their own secrets and are actively keeping certain knowledge from her but doesn’t know exactly what she’s been denied access to

Unsure if she wants to know exactly what they’re hiding from her

Waiting for the right time to assassinate Alba, or, in her words, giving him the freedom he deserves

Has full confidence and trust in only Kalev, her younger brother, who seems to share her ambition and is completely loyal to her

Not close to her mother at all and hates the fact that she actually wants her mother to like her (who is neutral towards all her children)

Denies being sentimental and perhaps her lingering positive feelings towards her father is what’s keeping her from making the move; when the time comes, needs Kalev to give her the final push to commit to the assassination

In a relationship with Karl’s apprentice Rosella, whom she seems to favor and has genuine feelings for but keeps a certain distance from more or less; it’s complicated

Plans to use Rosella to help assassinate Alba one day, be it directly or indirectly

Will kill Rosella if she finds out her allegiance isn’t genuine

Has been contacted by malevolent higher density beings through visions and physical manifestations but somehow successfully rejects influence from them due to her sheer stubbornness to stick to her own agenda as well as her illusion of being of service-to-others, keeping herself from fully pursuing the path of service-to-self

Doesn’t need much training for the sword in any lifetime as a human which is also what she brought with her to Earth from her previous home planet, similar to the functions of “muscle memory” but for a soul

Has difficulty falling asleep and maintaining quality sleep if her back isn’t facing a wall

Clenches her jaws so tightly in her sleep her facial muscles feel sore when she wakes up

Unlike Alba who coughs due to health issues, only coughs when she feels particularly stressed or stimulated

Keeps her hair long because Kalev asked her to keep it long when they were children, still thinks of it as an odd request but lets him have his wishes

Automatically relaxes around her peer and friend Di Lu and even feels as if she should fully trust and rely on “her” but draws the line when her rationale pulls her back; enjoys and appreciates“her” companionship nonetheless 

Sometimes requests Di Lu’s presence since feeling “her” energy is an automatic sleeping pill, crosses her arms and closes her eyes for a brief nap sitting upright while her friend quietly reads a book right next to her

Doesn’t have many genuine friends while subconsciously longing for some type of a deeper connection but becomes agitated when Alba tries to introduce people to her, feeling as if he is mocking her struggles to socialize

Wonders why Di Lu’s younger brother Yi Ke maintains his distance but keeps staring at her from afar then averts his gaze when she stares right back at him, almost suspecting he has something to hide from her but lets those thoughts go quickly as she is willing to trust Di Lu’s description of Yi Ke’s personality as “simple and straightforward”

Somehow simultaneously enjoys seeing Yi Ke standing completely still and blending in with the background; something about it calms her down

Has very painful menstrual cramps that hurt so much she can only clutch onto her abdomen and writhe in pain on her bed… makes sure no one witnesses her at her weakest as her subconscious tells her something might try to hunt her in her weakened state

Almost would rather die instead of letting anyone see her defenseless moments

In desperate need to find a partial or complete solution for her cramps but is conflicted about about informing anyone of her condition as there is a chance they might use her weaknesses against her

Despises old people and young children because they are weak and in need of protection, though the animosity is not personal and more of an unwelcome reminder of what once was and what will come

Deals with paperwork to destress… which gives her more stress

Has the most beautiful, spine-chilling, vortex-like eyes… according to Kalev, and they almost seem to glow in the dark

Can move about in areas with little to no lighting with high efficiency and agility, doesn’t need candles or bloodstones for illumination but sometimes uses them for atmospheric effects

Intrigues many with her reticence but her facial expressions often betray that air of mystery

Has impeccable handwriting

Enjoys the scent of roses

Like Cadis, constantly craves a type of noodle that doesn’t exist… too proud to bring it up, though

Kalev

Second child and son of Lord Alba

Strict yet charming, his subjects love him more than they fear him

An archery prodigy with excellent eyesight

Has a faint almost rose-like scent on him that is not from fragrance but rather completely natural, drawing people in and even intoxicating some

A human native to Earth and not one whose soul came from another planet and incarnated here to heal and grow; the exact ratio of native humans versus other-origin humans is unclear

Biological daughter of a powerful sorcerer from an elite household who gave up his entire career to chase his dreams as a performer of magic tricks

Fiercely independent and driven, chose to not follow her father when he announced his career change out of the blue; before he left, he asked his good friend and former colleague Karl to guide his daughter and support her because he couldn’t do that for her anymore as a traveling entertainer

Originally an entity from another planet of the same density or vibration as Earth where its inhabitants use, in very simplified terms, “magic” on a daily basis with near total reliance; life was okay but there wasn’t much progress to make, so her soul chose to reincarnate on Earth to experience life in a more grounded yet stimulating way since magic is extremely rare here, and to learn to appreciate a “gift” when it is bestowed rather than take it for granted

Haven’t yet decided her direction of polarization; currently teetering on neutral and leaning towards service-to-others

One of the very few people aware of the different “kind” of bloodstone despite not being a direct member of the Lord’s family; only Alba and his wife, Karl, and two other individuals know, together they are part of an active research group

Uses his physical appearance and pitch of voice to his advantage while his motives for his permanent disguise remain unclear

A human whose soul’s origin is native to Earth, steadily progressing towards graduating from this density through successfully learning meaningful lessons each lifetime, with his current incarnation as “Di Lu” set to learn the lesson of patience

Greatly polarized towards service-to-others

An old soul with a history of many incarnations preceding his current one which could explain his almost natural maturity since birth; before his soul incarnated as a human for the first time, he was an armadillo

Switches between serious and dense to carefree and cheerful without warning due to his head injury

Retains his extremely loyal, dedicated, and respectful nature regardless of which personality is “in control” at the moment

Has been commented by others that his newly acquired personality is sometimes hilarious and even clownish, and despite the rather tragic cause of said second personality, some agree it’s a nice way of loosening up a bit (not saying that to his face of course)

Would’ve kept training like Di Lu to succeed their mother even after developing a split personality but the problem is that he sometimes forgets a portion of past events when he switches personalities therefore is considered a liability

Both personalities can consistently recall their “version” of daily events and other past experiences, but need help from a reliable person to “fill in the gaps” on details one or both personalities may have forgotten or missed

The sound of bells evokes a certain fear in him because it was what he heard right before the moment he was shot in the head with an arrow; the perpetrator most likely picked the specific moment to shoot him

Was shot by Kalev… who intended to aim for Genesius and his son Richard, the trusted subordinates of Alba in an attempt to slowly weaken Alba’s influence but had his plans ruined when Yi Ke jumped in between

Has a very sharp instinct for certain dangers which explains why he suddenly leapt forward to block the attack on Genesius and Richard despite not seeing anything

Ran away from home at the age of twelve, (slightly later than usual) traveled across the ocean and arrived in Rukedonya and has stayed here since then, safe from his biological family’s eyes and ears

Normally would’ve been heavily punished if he was discovered to have snuck into Rukedonya as security is notoriously tight, but as an experienced master of aura manipulation, he was able to reduce his presence to the minimum level thus swiftly slipped past without arousing suspicion

Doesn’t usually use his aura manipulation for deception but the only time he consistently does is when he runs away and needs to integrate somewhere

Told Gus she’d like to be his child again during their first incarnations as parent and child where he then promised her they’d be together forever, and his strong will to honor his promise is what makes this come true every lifetime even if she doesn’t remember this interaction or any of her past lives at all

Suffers from her hypersensitive and prematurely developed ability to perceive other-density beings… in other words, her channels open up before she is ready which is a consistent occurrence in every incarnation 

The mixture of benevolent, neutral, but mostly negative entities trying to “contact” her through her open channels overwhelm her which results in irritability, lethargy, and fear

Overwhelmed and suffocates from multiple entities trying to contact her all at once

Even has entities fight with each other over who gets access to her as humans with numerous open channels are rare yet enticing “seeds”

An open invitation for malicious, parasitic entities to deceive, coerce, and manipulate to spread their own ideologies

Also attracts benevolent entities that are willing to guide her towards the light but being extremely stressed and overstimulated means she can’t tell between benevolent and malevolent contact therefore it’s the best to shut them out altogether

Protected by Gus who expels parasites from her but otherwise lacks a means to protect herself if he’s not around to shield her with his own brilliant, impenetrable aura

Doesn’t have that aggressive, protective aura like Gus to shield herself from unwanted contact as she must construct one herself through accumulating experience, confidence, and personal strength; luckily Gus is allowed to help her close off some her channels so she isn’t as vulnerable but he cannot close all of them as he has limits of how far he can go until it’s considered helping too much

Needs to learn how to protect herself sooner or later which is precisely why she is currently learning certain methods from Yi Ke who is more clear and concise with the delivery of specific instructions than Gus, making it easier for her to visualize techniques and apply them to herself

Enjoys playing with Yi Ke’s kittens after their lessons end, doesn’t know that Gus is sometimes“late” to pick her up to give her more kitty time

Has made plenty of progress and no longer feels as agitated as she is now somewhat capable of creating an energy barrier to cut off a portion of unwanted contact

So far lacks the skills and intuition to discern benevolent entities from malevolent entities disguised as benevolent entities, so her best approach for now is to block out all contact and learn to strengthen herself first

Generally speaking there are three types of humans who are predisposed to and attract attention from other entities: wanderers, hypersensitive people with prematurely opened channels, and people who are deeply committed to polarizing towards either of service-to-self or service-to-others (Clara is the second)

Can see auras just like Gus, and can always immediately spot Gus in a mountain of people by identifying his aura which she describes as pretty in color and comforting in warmth

Gently reminded by Gus to not easily expose her ability to see auras to the average person as it may endanger her, even if she might be trying to do it out of goodwill as helping people blindly can have unintended consequences

Keeps her extraordinary abilities between herself, Gus, and her mother as she takes Gus’ advice to heart

Kind in nature thus hard for her to learn and accept that some people are simply born with patterns of thought and behavior that are “evil”

Hard to tell whether she would resist temptations of the malevolent if Gus isn’t present and there’s no one to protect her, as she might conclude that she herself is the source of these “mysterious voices and visions” instead of external interference 

Might succumb to such forces just to get them to stop actively torturing her, though accepting them means letting intrusive thoughts merge with her belief system which is more detrimental in the long run

Thinks Gus doesn’t know she’s learning dagger skills with Yuu… he in fact does, but lets them be as it’s not a bad idea for his daughter to learn a technical skill to counter real danger plus he’s confident in her character to not randomly stab people

Sometimes goes over to Yuu and Ze’s house for drinks and snacks, and Gus trusts them as two of the few people who can watch over his daughter and wife whenever he has to leave to deal with some “business”

Enjoys baked goods from the nearby bakery and occasionally invited to taste test new products after befriending its weird owners

Helps around with the herb business at home and Gus only sells herbs casually so the work is fairly chill

Has her own job of helping people with their pets’ injuries and illnesses, and works from home so people bring their pets over

Prefers the cold, chilly weather and hopes for the snow to come back even if she knows the few months of “the sanctuary’s blessings” is necessary for Rukedonya’s survival

Used to burn books after finishing them (as well as anything she considers to be consumables) and only stops after realizing her future children could read them as well

Kills for pleasure but gives her prey to her servants as a nutritional supplement

One of Alba’s most trusted subordinates and his mentor figure; a close confidant of Alba’s father 

Completely loyal to Alba… at least on the surface

Fully confident that Alba won’t question his loyalty and he is right; both because of his family’s long history of serving Alba’s family and also because they were acquainted in past incarnations where Genesius was Alba’s follower

Knows Alba is rational despite being “unnecessarily sentimental” at times and uses Alba’s unconditional trust in him to his advantage.. sometimes even the most insightful and brilliant of wanderers can miss certain signs of betrayal because souls that were allies in past lives for so long can lead one to ignore how minds are capable of change because human nature is inherently unpredictable

Helped others and polarized towards service-to-others in his past incarnations but lost himself on that path after he was swayed by temptation after contact with malicious higher density beings

At some point self-identifies as a god, crediting himself as the source of all his powers instead humbling himself as a mere servant or messenger of god/infinity who was granted power to complete their mission, polarizing towards service-to-self currently

Has a catchphrase which goes “only your dogs and money would never betray you” to which his granddaughter Selina nods in complete agreement

Doesn’t think very highly of Alba or his predecessor, despite agreeing with some of their philosophies; fundamentally sees them as delusional

Life mission is to use his influence to trap people on the frequencies of fear and materialistic desires, in an effort to halt their progress on polarization towards service-to-others, and to disrupt Earth’s general vibration and capability of nurturing seeds for harvest for graduation towards a higher dimension of service-to-self

Technically shares many similarities with Rachel which would make sense for them to be allies, but ultimately they have very different thought processes and end goals, plus he looks down on her tremendously… which is probably why Kalev tries to shoot him with an arrow, after sensing that disrespect

Has a facade so sophisticated only Kalev is able to sense his disdain for Rachel

Thinks Rachel is immature and confused but he’s not one to educate her because she’s none of his business, even if as Alba’s subordinate he should at least have her best interests in mind

Knows his influence is only at its beginning stage and intends to continue to put pressure on people until fear-based subservience permeates every household; will hand his position to Richard one day to carry on his legacy

Believes humans are inherently greedy and that it doesn’t take much for to tempt them to the other side

Doesn’t speak much of love in the traditional sense but roughly defines love as the remorseless pursuit of one’s deepest, truest desires and his duty here on Earth is to assist people in jumping over the first hurdle of shame: the acknowledgment and acceptance of desire, hastening the commitment of polarization in those stuck in a dilemma, whether it is towards service-to-others or service-to-self

Content with coexisting “peacefully” with Alba and his allies whose life mission is the opposite of his own, where they encourage people to achieve enlightenment through service-to-others instead; although they are technically competitors, accepts that the universal is ultimately a balance between the two opposites ends of vibrational energy

In a way very enlightened through his own understanding and application of love and light, or compassion and wisdom

Believes there is no good and evil or right and wrong as the pursuit of either path leads back to the same infinity, and pities human beings for the utter reliance on shallow labels and social conformity to navigate the world

One step away from calling himself a savior of humanity by helping people discover that service-to-others isn’t the only way to graduate from Earth

Has a certain deal with the malicious entity which granted him mysterious powers; what his end of the promise is remains a secret for now

Fully aware that he too had fallen for temptation, which is why he is where he is now, but thanks the infinity for giving him the opportunity to realize what his truly suitable path is and believes his pursuit of desire is the ultimate form of love

When he used to polarize towards service-to-others in his past incarnations, he became doctors, teachers, etc.

A human whose soul’s origin is native to Earth; before his first incarnation as a human, he was a horse

An energy vampire in his own right, though steals energy remotely unlike Selina who does so face-to-face

Gifts energy-stealing artifacts, often disguised as artistic sculptures, to his targets who then unknowingly install his gifts in their homes; these artifacts don’t need to be manually activated as Genesius can absorb the hosts’ energy passively as soon as they’re set up

Gifts Alba with one of said artifacts which Alba installs in his personal office

Owes his life to Yi Ke and has promised the young man to help him out at any time with full awareness of their opposite polarizations; his end goal does not conflict with repaying his savior as he plays by the rules of humans for as long as he is one

Sees no need to correct Selina’s skewed concept of money and simply states that she has rightfully earned the privilege to be born into his family from her own accumulated karma which clearly indicates she is beyond concerning herself with financial life lessons, at least for as long as her karma lasts her

Technically doesn’t give Selina pocket money because she’s free to spend as much as she wants, but she usually doesn’t buy anything so as her grandfather he showers her with gifts instead

Adequately and even generously pays all servants in his household as he believes money is what keeps the general flow of energy from stagnating, in a philosophical sense

Scoffs at Alba’s speeches sometimes; love, compassion, light, wisdom, enlightenment, blah blah blah… criticizes him for forgetting that money is the most crucial determining factor of vibrational frequencies now, as it is the one true universal language of humans on Earth, so might as well toss someone a coin than shove perplexing concepts with nothing but empty promises down their throats

Sees Laurie more as Selina’s pet than her husband but is glad that he and Richard bought him to entertain her

For a calculating man who suspects all, curiously does not register Laurie on the endless potential traitors list, probably because he doesn’t exactly see Laurie as a human being to start with

Doesn’t hesitate to give Laurie information and tasks even the most loyal of servants would never be entrusted with in the same way you’d never have to worry about a dog spilling your secrets

Lets his wife, the mother of Richard, handle household staff surveillance

More like business partners with his wife than a normal couple but they have their agreements sorted out and both sides are equally satisfied in their relationship

The old couple is genuinely fond of each other despite looking cold on the surface; to them ignoring each other and only interacting when necessary is the ultimate show of both respect and affection as not wasting one’s time is the greatest gift one can give

Would have no problems with Richard and/or Selina ever trying to rid him in a plot to forcefully take over his legacy etc. and in fact would even be proud of them because it must mean they’d successfully overcome the power of blood to embrace true “self-love”instead, a massive step towards service-to-self which is the message he is trying to spread all along

Has a lot to lose, yet has nothing to lose; truly a winner with his mindset

Originally intended to buy Selina another toy if at any point she becomes bored with her current one, but she seems to treasure it very much so tells his son that he doesn’t need to keep an eye on the market for potential replacements anymore

Enjoys boiled lamb hearts without seasoning

Never drinks the soup from said boiled lamb hearts, tells his servants to give the soup to Laurie instead

Exudes a radiating cloud of elegance that he expects his line to flawlessly replicate 

Wields a cane for style instead of necessity, tells Richard he’d rather kill himself than spend the rest of his days relying on petty tools and lousy servants when he eventually deteriorates from old age

Remains able-bodied until the moment of his death

Occasionally has dreams of Laurie being his biological grandson instead of his grandson-in-law, chuckles and mutters under his breath about how pets really are family… sneaky little creatures who wriggle their way into people’s hearts indeed

Likes Laurie better than his daughter-in-law

Hastily smashes objects with his bare hands when he’s infuriated, because he can just buy new ones… there’s nothing money can’t take care of

Most of Rukedonya’s population relies on bloodstones for mundane tasks such as food preservation, cooking, boiling water, illumination, laundry, etc.

Bloodstones are banned from being exported in their base form but bloodstone goods that are already in product form are allowed to be exported e.g. a bloodstone coat

Alba’s family designates a fixed amount of bloodstones to each household in Rukedonya based on the number and ages of residents

Bloodstones are delivered to households on a monthly basis

Before a child turns ten years old, they receive half the amount of bloodstones an adult would get

Alba is more generous with bloodstones than his predecessor

If a household runs out of bloodstones before the beginning of the next month, they can submit an official request for more supplies but submitting too frequently could possibly incite an investigation 

Alba’s monthly distribution of bloodstones for his people are usually more than enough to last a whole month

Bloodstones aren’t typically used in medicine, so far no one except Gus has made such a discovery

If bloodstones are consumed as is, they will have no effects on the body and eventually expelled naturally

The common bloodstone cannot cure illnesses but “true” bloodstones can, at a very high cost most would deem unworthy which is why Alba opts out

Bloodstones used to “cure” illnesses simply borrow healthy years from one’s future incarnations, meaning even if they live healthier in their current incarnation they will die earlier in their future incarnations

Bloodstones can be crushed and woven into thread to enhance the warmth of clothing to a great degree, which is how most people don’t actually wear too many layers despite the extreme cold

Bloodstone-infused thread can also keep people cool in hotter weather which is one reason why its demand is so high overseas

Bloodstone cloth takes a lot of skill to produce so it is often a family business with highly trained individuals across generations

Bloodstones have a finite lifespan depending on purpose and intensity of usage, and turn grey and crumble into ashes when completely depleted

Bloodstones are often used to heat bathwater so there is no need to worry about using firewood; most people take baths daily

Bloodstones can be used to keep food warm all the way from the kitchen to the table by sliding small fragments under a special pocket at the bottom of the plate

Bloodstones can be used to preserve both raw and cooked food in a similar fashion, though it requires more frequent replacements than simply keeping food warm

Bloodstones can be used as a detergent after grinding it into a fine powder

Bloodstones used for illumination emit a warm yellow light as opposed to a red colored light

There are many other uses for bloodstones but to keep this brief I will not list all of them

Hypothetically speaking if the last of the bloodstones are spent, Alba’s family would lose all their power and Rukedonya would fall into an unstable state

There seems to be an infinite amount of bloodstones and they never run out, even Alba’s predecessors didn’t know how it’s possible but it benefited their rule so they did not pry further into its nature but Alba’s research group is working on that as well 

The answer is bloodstones, in fact, can multiply just like the cells of organisms because they are technically living “extraterrestrials” even though by human classifications they are rocks and display all the qualities of such

Bloodstones feed off of desire and dependence, so as long as there are people thinking about them and actively using them, they will keep multiplying on their own without any additional input from the entities that planted them on Earth

Bloodstones drastically improve living standards for people by being extremely versatile but that doesn’t change the fact that their foreign existence on Earth stems from malicious intent

Bloodstones are not capable of motion except when multiplying underground

Bloodstones can be used for jewelry but it is so common in Rukedonya most locals don’t see the appeal, but bloodstones necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. are some of the most common exports

Bloodstones almost feel like they’re sentient and can sense what their current owners intend to do with them, which is why the bloodstone powder Gus grinds to make his special candies stay candies instead of becoming detergent balls

Bloodstones aren’t sentient by certain higher dimensional standards for sentience but as far as Earth goes, they might as well be advanced enough to be roughly categorized as an organism

Bloodstones only multiply underground, as once they’ve been unearthed, they lose their ability to multiply almost as if programmed to conceal the fact that they are “alive”

Bloodstones cannot be “farmed” by reburying them

Currently there are no other countries or civilizations on Earth that is home to bloodstones

Somehow, the entities that planted bloodstones on Earth specifically chose Rukedonya as the ideal location to farm desire

Benevolent and malevolent are used to broadly illustrate the alignment of entities and their choice of polarization; in the end they all serve the infinity by contributing their equally valuable experiences

Both benevolent and malevolent forces are needed to keep a certain balance

It had been about a few weeks since Hazal was accepted into the Protocol, not even a full month. Her phone buzzed, and her eyes slowly cracked open. Another usual day for the Protocol VALORANT began as she gazed into pitch black. Darkness reigned habitually in her room, as did the cat from her native streets that rested quietly near her work desk. The laptop screen was still on, slightly illuminating her progress, a little cluster of empty coffee mugs. Her cell phone buzzed again. If only it hadn't been for that couple of lines in her messages...

Usually Fade tries to kill time by reading books or exercising with her pet, trying not to fall back into lingering thoughts. This time it would be worthless.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, the girl nervously reread the contents. She would have taken anything else, from "Tomorrow morning at five o'clock", "You're expected at Sage's," or at least "Come by Brimstone's office as soon as you can". Alas, the text remained unchanged, which was not the case with the tension in the room.

“You wouldn't go wrong with the choice, would you? You won't, right?” The voice echoing her darkest thoughts wouldn't be able to get away from her this evening. The quiet hiss in her temples aches with a pain not yet too great.

“Do you realize why he wants to see you? Do you remember what you saw in his head? Your power is being used, wake up!” Nightmare started emphasizing pronouns, trying to get 'its' point across.

“I can try to find out, especially since I have to go back in there…” She hushed, she began scrolling through other agent's scraps of memories.

“You think you can just walk away if anything happens? Don't be so naive!”

The noises and tingles in my head were getting worse.

“And what are you hoping for? Didn't you have a goal when you joined the team? Maybe you did lose your memory too?”

Hazal shuddered, her mind already on her past. With her legs tucked under her they bent even more, it was as if she was trying to hide, to be invisible. The relative silence didn't last long.

“Do you remember him? All the things you did together, the times, the moments. Isn't that why I am with you? And the Protocol? What do you need it for?"

Falling onto the pillow behind her, the girl curled up like her cat. She squeezed her eyes shut trying to distract herself by counting to a hundred as Sage had suggested earlier, but Fade only became more convinced of her interlocutor's insistence.

“Wasn't that a betrayal? So much effort, searching, is it meaningless?”
