A heavenly, beautiful, religious, slow-paced vocal sound of a Humming Choir performing music of William Croft (1678–1727); an interpretation of the first part of his Anthem ‘I Am the Resurrection’. Also known as ‘The Sentences’ it has been used at every British state funeral since the early part of the 18th century, recently sang by the Westminster Abbey Choir as Queen Elizabeth II’s casket arrived at the entrance to the abbey. Original performance directions (first published in 1724) for the gentle voices include “Slowly and with Dignified Solemnity”.

But within the crumbling walls he soon discovers a starved community of patients fearfully operating under the piercing watch of the hospital staff.
