Haven’t seen this show yet (it looks amazing!) but i thought the title Mob Psycho, was sorta describing what was happening to the main character. Like they were being “mobbed” by their psychotic/psychic abilities.

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:

Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)

Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)

Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.

But in Japanese it scans as:

Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)

Psycho (short for psychic)

Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.

The first one had me thinking the guy was a combo of Santa Clause and Freddy Krueger, the way it was implied his lures were presents and his game were children. Only to find out too late that the threat was a family member all along.

And the end, like the horribleness that people thought of him became his body, but he still held on to his heart.

The second one! It was like two stories in one with the different perspectives. A mere radio protects the mind of a shell to a man while he escapes from the agony of his reality with his original tasks from his job. Until his mind finally forces him to acknowledge the silence around him.

It was kind of sad to find out the radio was still on. It didn’t quit on him.

And the third! ^^ That was the first time I’ve heard that story. The description of insomnia and the dangers of it were chilling enough. It was nice to think that in between the realms of wake and sleep, there could be someone trying to make sure you survived the journey.

I think he only pointed out not looking at others “seams” to distract you from looking at your own.

The longer I work at my job, the more wear and tear I feel on my body. Especially my hands and wrists. It both scares me and infuriates me. I need my hands and time to make my art, and my job is slowly taking both…

nothing makes me more insane than the phrase "selling your body" btw. like was i not also selling my body at every other job i've had where i had to be on my feet all day, lifting boxes, working in a warehouse, etc. why is it that sex work is uniquely labeled as "selling your body" while every other job is sorted into another category, no matter how much that job might have a physical impact on your body. lmao.

Eh heh heh, 🤭 there’s actually 3 (that I know of) versions of an earthquake.

The one being described, so sensually above, is when plates are moved toward each other, called “convergent”. The plates grind toward each other, one usually slides on top of the other.

The opposite is called “divergent” when the plates are pulling away from each other. Kinda like a spreading action or being pulled apart.

The third is called “transform”, when the plates, again, grind against each other, but in a different way. The movement is similar to rubbing your hands together. Those ones, if I remember correctly, create mountains.

I decided to go the pre-order route this time to make the process smoother, since I've got a great system for fulfilling orders through my own shop, and I have some funds to start the production right away!
