Some People Have the NERVE...
You know, I’ve read the threads on the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case, and although the majority have been supportive of the real victim (Johnny), the minority is being, quite frankly, very disgusting.
What you don’t know about this case, is that it is a civil lawsuit. He’s suing her for defamation, and not a criminal charge regarding domestic abuse. Why? Because that original domestic case was dropped by Amber herself, once she got the divorce settlement. It is important to note that many of the evidence presented in the defamation case was the evidence that was accepted by the judge in the criminal case, before Hear dropped it.
Now it is important to note some things from the original criminal case. Amber Heard did not have a lot of proof. She refused to give the Metadata of the pictures she took of her face, which, were her strongest proof, to begin with. And with refusing to do that, she looked very unbelievable in the eyes of law, because you NEED to give the metadata. Second, she had a video, that had Johnny raging in it. That video does not show Johnny abusing Heard in any way. He was angry and he was taking that anger out on furniture. That video on its own cannot prove domestic abuse, because domestic abuse did not happen in it. In fact, the court did not accept the video, as TMZ reported, because it was proven to be edited and was not in any shape or form any proof of the criminal act Johnny Depp was being accused of. So basically, both Amber Heard’s evidence was not strong enough, and they were very questionable. What’s also important is that she filed the suit, sold stories to tabloids (including Johnny’s finger picture where she told the tabloids that he cut it in rage, while in reality, it was her), and then closed the case without giving Johnny a chance to defend himself in court, or in front of the public. Therefore, nothing came out of that case, other than pure allegations and questionable evidence that the court did not accept. The judge did not give a verdict, and no one was found guilty.
But the damage was done, and Johnny Depp’s image had been ruined in the eyes of the public. So much so, that he was fired from HIS OWN franchise, and when he was cast for Fantastic Beasts, the wrath of social media followed him and everyone involved in that project. Even though nobody had proof and it was all based on allegations that Heard had said. This is important because in this day and age, all it takes is for a woman to just “say” something, and a man’s life is completely ruined, disregarding the actual proof.
This brings us to three years later, where Johnny Depp has filed a civil lawsuit, suing Heard for defamation. This lawsuit has two parts. Part one states that he NEVER abused her, to begin with. And he has 87 surveillance videos showing that she, in fact, did not have any bruises or scars on her face during the time of the alleged attack and days following it, and therefore concluding that she made it all up. He also has 17 neutral witnesses that saw Heard face-to-face on those dates of the alleged attack, who too can confirm they saw no trace of abuse on her face whatsoever. It is also important to note that there is evidence of these witnesses seeing Amber Heard face-to-face in those dates via surveillance videos, so they are for sure not lying, cause they were on camera doing so. From these witnesses, there are two police officers who specialize in domestic abuse, who have testified that they did not find any trace of abuse at the house. In Heard’s case, she said that the house was trashed from Depp destroying it when the abuse happened. She was trying to say he had no control over himself. Yet the two police officers, who went to the house to check the situation out, saw the house in perfect condition with nothing being damaged. Again, she lied. Part two of this case states that he was a victim of abuse, and not her. He has provided images with metadata to court, of his chopped off finger and bruises on his face. Let’s talk about the finger for a second, because there are people who say that it is old and he did it himself. Yes, that is what Amber Claimed at the time. In fact, she sold the story to the tabloids, and these are all highlighted in Johnny’s case. I did some research myself and found the truth on this topic. When you search “Johnny Depp finger” on Google, this pops up:
Tumblr media
It is via TMZ, and it is dated in 2016, and as you can read, it states AMBER CLAIMS. She sold the story, as Johnny’s case states and told her version of it. She lied, yet again. Turns out, via Johnny’s civil case, that she threw a broken bottle of alcohol at him, resulting in his finger to be chopped off, and it required surgical reattachment. And regarding the bruise on his face, it is said that she was angry that he missed her birthday party, and so she punched him in bed while he was reading a book. He then immediately leaves the house to get away from the abuse, and his bodyguard, who happens to be a veteran, has testified that he indeed did see the aftermath of that attack while he was helping him to get out of that house. He saw the bruise on Johnny’s face. Amber even testified under oath to abusing him through the run of their marriage. This is a fact. So there is no way it’s a lie since it is in the court documents. While Johnny has maintained his innocence. This contradicts all of Amber’s evidence, as there are 17 witnesses that say they didn’t see any bruise on HER face, yet the bruises on Johnny’s face have been confirmed.
His evidence blows Amber’s out of the water. They are too much to be fake or fabricated. They are already accepted in court, unlike Amber’s edited evidence, and are pending a final verdict. It blows my mind how there are actually people that are defending this woman. All it took for her to be beilived was an allegation, and y’all ruined a mans life. Now the man has a shit ton of actual evidence of him not only being abused by her, but also evidence that proves he didn’t hit her to begin with. And y’all have the NERVE to sit here and say hes lying?! Or that the “sources” aren’t legit?! Or that “Why now?” The man has been physically abused, silenced and mentally tortured, and Y'all actually have the guts in you to not believe him?! Even with all this proof that legally and literally overpowers anything Amber ever had?! Are you for REAL?!
And for those people that say the “both abused each other and it was a toxic relationship”. Stop. It wasn’t, he never abused her. That is the MAIN point of this lawsuit, and he was 87 videos and a shit ton of witnesses to prove it. He was the one being abused, and she was the abuser. It is very disgusting that all it took for her to prove him guilty was one edited video of him being angry (and it didn’t even show him abusing her in it), yet the 87 videos that he has is apparently not enough for some of y’all. Because you know, he’s a man. It’s disgusting and gut-wrenching how some of you think.
#MeeToo is a two-way street. You can’t just believe female victims, not caring about their evidence and how strong they are, yet not believe male victims even when they have a shit ton of evidence to back him up. It’s disgusting, it’s sexist, and it’s against everything Feminism and the Metoo movement stands for. Johnny Depp is innocent and a victim of domestic abuse and Amber Heard needs to pay for everything she did. In fact, we need to apply to her the same energy as we apply to other abusers. Fire her from the Aquaman franchise, and ruin her career. You can’t be taking away men’s careers for these things, and give women a pass because of their gender. Yes. domestic abuse is usually initiated by men, but that doesn’t mean that when it’s the other way around, the female abuser should go free because they’re just a minority.
This was a long rant, but I think it was very important to be said. The double standards and radical feminism in this day and age can be very disturbing and dangerous, and it needs to be called out. I sincerely hope Johnny Depp wins this case and gets the justice he deserves.

Y'all who jumped on that hating Johnny Depp train have hopefully learned a lesson in critical thinking and maybe even feminism.
Which was really, it turns out, shockingly, was about equality and not just outright believing women are always the victim and never the perpetrator.
I hope you’ve learned a lesson but I’m sure you haven’t, because this is Tumblr and all of you who jumped on the Johnny Depp IS evil and the incarnation of everything wrong in the world and all those who supported him are evil abuse supporters are still out there and don’t wanna admit you’re not only full of shit but utterly lacking in objective mindsets.
So yay for that failed lesson.
Too bad American public schools don’t teach that shit anymore.

For everyone’s information:
The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is 'oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, here’s what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Don’t:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesn’t affect their revenue and since it’s off the store at the moment it’ll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and don’t use it you’re saying to staff that there’s still time to save it. If you delete it’s hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. They’re a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because they’re scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.

@Staff Since we're purging any kind of adult content because Apple dropped the app from their store, are you guys also going to deal with the white supremacy and literal nazis on here too? Because the porn isn't hurting anyone. The nazis are.
Updates to Tumblr’s Community Guidelines
Today we announced some big updates to our Community Guidelines and what kind of content is permitted on Tumblr. Adult content will no longer be allowed here. While we do not judge anyone for their desire to post, engage with, or view this stuff, it is time for us to change our relationship with it.
We expect you may have some questions on how this will affect you, and we’re here to make sure those questions get answered.
When does the new policy take effect?
Our new Community Guidelines will go into effect on December 17, 2018.
Newly uploaded content flagged as adult will no longer be allowed on Tumblr. We’ll also begin flagging and removing existing adult content with the ultimate goal of removing as much of it as we can.
What is considered adult content?
Adult content primarily includes photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content—including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations—that depicts sex acts.
What is still permitted?
Examples of exceptions that are still permitted are exposed female-presenting nipples in connection with breastfeeding, birth or after-birth moments, and health-related situations, such as post-mastectomy or gender confirmation surgery. Written content such as erotica, nudity related to political or newsworthy speech, and nudity found in art, such as sculptures and illustrations, are also stuff that can be freely posted on Tumblr.

Guys. I really need help with something. My mom opened an Amazon credit card in my name like 4 years ago, but I gave her permission to as long as she made payments and didn’t fuck up my credit. Now here I am 4 years later and she is almost 2 months late (this isn’t the first time it’s happened) and I am so fed up with the debt collector calls. What can I do about this?

Hey, U.S. Tumblrs. Your country needs you.
In just about six weeks, on November 6, you will have the privilege of exercising your right to vote in the midterm elections. You, the people, will determine one-third of all U.S. senators and all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. And we want you to feel empowered as hell as you make it happen.
But you can only make a difference if you’re registered to vote.
National Voter Registration Day is on September 26.
Take a few minutes right now and visit NVRD (@nationalvoterregistrationday) to register anytime between now and then. Don’t forget: if you’ve recently changed your name or moved across state lines, you need to update your registration. Have questions? @plannedparenthood wants to help! This Monday, September 24, they will be answering your questions about voting. Go ahead and head over to their ask box now.
What else can you do?
Stay informed. Over the next six weeks, right up until election day, we’re going to highlight and partner up with a number of organizations that can help you stay educated about issues that matter most. We’ll put a spotlight on some of our old favorites for educational resources, like @everytown for sensible gun laws and Fight for the Future (@fight4future) for net neutrality. You can also look forward to hearing more from:
Women — There are more women running for office in 2018 than there has ever been in U.S. history. Huffington Post and and MAKERS (@makerswomen) will be interviewing some of these incumbents and newcomers.
Headcount — Headcount (@thefutureisvoting) stages voter registration drives at concerts and runs programs that translate the power of music into real action. Their goal? Change the culture of voting to turn every election—local, state, and federal—into an event worth celebrating. It shouldn’t feel like a chore.
When We All Vote — @whenweallvote is a new national, nonpartisan, not-for-profit that promises to spark new conversation around the responsibilities we all share in shaping the promise of our democracy.  Namely, the responsibility of registering and voting.
#VoteTogether — #VoteTogether offers grants of $2,500 to local organizers to hold and promote nonpartisan block parties near polling places. This year Tumblr will be the financial sponsor and partner of two #VoteTogether events.
10/25 — Black Girls Vote + Tumblr present: #VoteTogether in Baltimore. BGV focuses on organizing Black women across the country to participate in local, state and national elections. Tumblr will be supporting BGV for an all-day event led by 50 of their student leaders from Morgan State University.  We will then lead a march to the polls followed by a #VoteTogether block party with announcements of scholarships for some of the incredible students.
10/27 —  Equity Alliance + Tumblr present: #VoteTogether in Nashville. This year will be Equity Alliance’s third #VotingIsLit celebration. EA is planning on hosting a Halloween-themed and family friendly event in the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, and we want to see you there. The spookiest costume? A person who forgot to register to vote by September 26, National Voter Registration Day.
Be on the lookout for more information on these events in the coming weeks! We want you there.
Phew. That was a lot. We know. But this is important stuff. The past few years may have felt particularly exhausting to you. You’re not alone. Take care of yourselves however you can, and remember that you and your vote matter. Let your voice be heard.
And one more time, for good measure:
National Voter Registration Day is on September 26.

This is all I’ve done so far! I cringed at the idea of doing a comparison because my own art looks terrible when compared to the original masterpieces, but since others have done it I figured I may as well.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The most fun part about doing these pieces is that I feel I’m exploring the original painters’ mind a little. And hopefully learning something from them in the process! :P
