Moving

Hi everyone! I’ve made a new rp blog @our-universeunfolding. It’s a multi-muse blog and I’m in the process of adding all the characters I plan to rp. For my shadowhunter rp buddies, this will include Raphael and likely Simon and Magnus. I’ll also have Fitz and Simmons from Agents of Shield, a variety of Hamilton characters, and others as I think of them. Feel free to follow me over there; I don’t mind mixed fandom rps so you can talk to whoever you like.

As for what’ll happen to this one, I’ll probably just archive it or leave it alone, maybe pop in every so often. Any fic updates will also be announced on the new blog (if I ever get around to them...).

I saw one of my favorite author's stories on there and I'm pissed because I know how much fucking work goes into writing. I made an account specifically to report her ass. Idk what mckvch (raiseyourvoice)'s tumblr is but if you see this I saw your fic and I'm sorry someone had the gall to take your work and the work of others because I have read pretty much every saphael fic on ao3 and I love them too much to let this happen to the writers who worked so hard on them. I'll report her every fucking day if I have to.

Right, because people telling you to stop stealing is HARASSMENT! Sure. What even is this bullshit? I didn’t see anyone harassing her, just saying she should delete the stolen stories |D

Words of Wisdom

My game design teacher said something really important today. I was lamenting how terrible my project ended up being and that I was ashamed of it, and he stopped me right there.

He said I should never be ashamed of anything I finish unless I didn't try. I think this is applicable to more than just game development. You made an illustration and you think it looks like crap? You went to the gym and could only workout for 15 minutes before you got tired? You got out of bed and didn't manage much else? That's okay.

It's okay to be critical of yourself and your work, but don't be ashamed if it wasn't what you'd hoped. YOU DID THE THING! You know what? If you keep doing the thing it'll get easier and better every time. You'll be able to do more of the thing and build on the thing.

After that illustration maybe you animate it. Maybe after that workout you join the track team. Maybe after you get out of bed you take a shower or have something to eat. Maybe you'll suck at it and fail and have to press restart, but you tried and in trying you learned.

Okay, y'all anons need to back off this wonderful panda. Being pan has absolutely nothing to do with the trans community. Here’s a lesson in what pansexuality is:

1. Pan means all, literally all, we can be attracted to everyone. I am tolerant of all pretty people no matter what they identify as. You be you and I’ll possibly be attracted to you.

2. Pansexuality is often explained two ways. There’s the above way where we recognize gender and just don’t discriminate between them. Then there’s the explanation that pans don’t recognize gender in their attraction. (I’m super oversimplifying this to make it harder to misconstrue, but pans identify as pans for a variety of reasons. These are just the two I see most often.)

3. I think perhaps the 2nd one is where you’re getting this ridiculous idea about the pan community being transphobic. This doesn’t mean we don’t respect pronouns or don’t recognize what you identify as. It means that it isn’t a factor in whether or not we like someone.

4. Basically, whether you’re ftm, mtf, nonbinary, genderfluid, girl, boy, genderqueer, or anything in, out, or in between, there is the potential for a pan to be attracted to you.

5. AKA. “They got da booty.” “Are they a girl or boy?” “They got da booty.” “But are–” “THEY GOT DA BOOTY.”

6. Like honestly my trans friends are fucking gorgeous man like there’s nothing more attractive to me than accepting and loving yourself (whether you can to do it openly or not; I can respect that not everyone can be in that situation) and letting others do the same. People become 3000% more attractive when they’re not assholes. That’s a real statistic. I checked my records.

7. I suggest you check yourself before you wreck yourself because that’s just really rude. I’m not coming into your blog bashing your sexuality so please stop ignorantly bashing someone trying to be proud of who they are. If you still don’t get it, come to my ask and we’ll talk. I would be happy to educate you and get this strange idea out of your head.
