Survival sickness//everything about me is a sharp knife.

I’m full of old versions of myself, and all they do is lie.

A hailing, of sorts. Life calls into the fray, somewhat reluctant / i'm an exercise in self-restraint (or lack thereof). Hands against cold clarity, there's a certain knowing the violence outside, a shame in it' s denial. How long can reality be refused? i dream of tall buildings and laughter and the past, before we lowered our faces and fell all upon apologetic knees and open palms - i'm sorry / for everything i'm asking for more than whatever this is, though who is listening? i still don't believe (it's me). Somewhere there's a ringing, and oh, how it resonates - yes echoes deep beneath my breast, thunders within yet infinitely, heads in the sand, forever no answer.
