The King and The Dragoness: Chapter 3: The End...Part 2
(I'm sorry that this took so long to make, there is no excuse for it. All I can say is that college got really busy for me along with other life matters. It also took me a while to write this chapter since there is a death scene in this. Also the song that is sung by Valyria towards the end was generated by ChatGPT, I wanted to try this out for my story to see how it goes. If there is anything wrongly translated please let me know. Also this chapter is pretty freaking long, sorry about that. I have decided that there will be a Chapter 4: The End...Part 3 since this chapter would have been way longer if I didn't. Please enjoy and don't forget to comment down below, I would love to hear any ideas you guys may have. Anyway please enjoy and have a wonderful day, afternoon, evening or whatever.)

Still Flashback:
In Hyperspace:
Valyria’s POV:
My mind is blank as I stare out at the brightly passing lights that appeared as we traveled through hyperspace. I could hear people talking around me, but their voices sounded muffled as I tuned them out. My heart is pounding so fast it feels as though it is about to leap out of my chest. I still couldn’t believe what just happened, what I just witnessed. My home, taken from me right before my eyes. Tears began to fill my eyes, making them sting. Everything was gone, everything.
‘Why…. Why did this have to happen? What did we do to deserve this?’, I thought as my lips began to tremble in sadness, anger, I did not know anymore. My grip on the armrest of my seat began to get tighter and tighter as my thoughts began to spiral downwards. ‘Did I anger someone into doing this? Did I cause this? Is it…my fault?’.
I was brought out of my depressing thoughts to the shout of Ser Byran, my personal guard. I looked up just in time to see him catch my mother as she fell out of the co-pilot's chair. I felt my heart stop at the sight of her pale face, I noticed sweat covering her face and forehead in a thick layer. Her breathing was shallow and quiet. Suddenly, my father fell out of the pilot's chair. I sprung out of my chair and ran over to his side. I knelt down next to him and saw that he too had shallow, quiet breathing with his forehead covered in a thick layer of sweat. As I looked closer, I noticed that there was a large dark purple-looking bruise on his neck while the veins had turned a sickening black in his neck. I noticed that the black had spread up his neck towards his face and downwards towards the rest of his body. I felt myself freeze in terror at what I saw. I knew what this meant but I did not want to believe it.
I looked up towards Ser Bryan who was still knelt at my mother's side. “Ser Byran could…could you look at my mother's neck and tell me what you see please?”, I asked softly. He looked up at me with confusion and was about to ask why but at my tearful eyes and pleading look he did as I asked.
“What is wrong Valyria? What is wrong with Muña and Kepa?”, questioned Rhaerys but I ignored her question in favor of looking at Ser Byran and when he looked up at me after a moment, I knew that my mother was in the same boat as my father.
I took a deep breath to help calm myself down enough to not let my tears flow, I had to be strong for my sisters. I let out the breath I was holding and looked up towards my sisters who all wore concerned expressions. “Kepa and Muña have been poisoned.”, I answered with a soft broken voice. The silence was deafening in the cockpit of the ship. I looked at my sister's expressions and was not surprised at what I saw because I knew it matched my own. An expression full of shock, despair, sadness, and anger. My hand trembled as I said, “We need to move them towards the medical bay. We must see if we can cure what is ailing them and if we cannot…then we must make them comfortable in their last moments.” My throat tightened up as I finished that horrible sentence. I saw the heartbroken and resigned look on my sister's faces, and it both broke my heart and set my blood afire. I felt the need to destroy those who have harmed my parents and who have caused my sweet sisters such despair and anguish.
Shaking my head to rid myself of those thoughts and motioned for Ser Simon and Ser Colton, Maelenya’s and Naenyra’s personal guard, to help my father up and towards the med bay while Ser Byran scooped my mother up into his arms and followed the rest of us to the medical bay. It did not take us very long to arrive as we all walked at a fast pace but not fast enough to cause our mother and father too much pain. When we arrived, Ser Byran, Ser Simon and Ser Colton placed our mother and father on two beds that were beside each other. As I looked at our mother and father, I felt helpless as to what to do, I did not know where to start as I had no idea what type of poison had been used on them. I have never seen any type of poison like this before. Shaking myself out of my stupor I turned towards the others with a grim determination.
“Rhaerys I want you to use Blood Magic to see what is ailing mother and father, we should be able to come up with an antidote once we know what is wrong.”.
Rhaerys nodded her head towards me and approached mother and father. She grabbed a scalpel and made a cut on each of our parent's arms before placing one hand on each cut. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and a red glow appeared over each hand signaling that the spell had been cast. I watched my sister's face and expressions closely to see if I could gather anything based on her expressions. Suddenly her face twisted into a mixture of confusion and concern which in turn concerned not only me but everyone else. She quickly stepped away from them with a gasp as tears leaked from eyes. Quickly Maelenya, Naenyra and myself rushed to her side to comfort her from whatever has made her so distressed.
“Sis, what happened? What have you found out?”, questioned Naenyra with concern evident in her tone.
She trembled and more tears leaked out of her eyes as she answered, “I…I did not find anything. The poison is not like anything I have ever seen. It is fast acting and extremely aggressive. That’s all I could find out.”.
“What are you saying, Rhaerys?”, asked Maelenya softly.
“I’m saying that there is nothing we can do for them…Kepa and Muña…are going to die.”, she confessed as her tears began to pour out of her eyes.
I stared at her brokenly as tears began to fall from my eyes. I could not - did not want to believe what I was hearing. I felt myself begin to tremble; my breathing began to get fast as I struggled to process this information. ‘They’re going to die. They’re going to die. Why them? What did they do wrong? What did we do wrong? Why are the Gods and Goddesses punishing us? WHAT DID WE DO WRONG?!?!’ I questioned mentally. This was not supposed to happen, everything was fine just a little while ago and now, now it is all ruined.
I flinched as a hand suddenly appeared on my shoulder and I looked to my right to see my sister Rhaerys staring at me with a small broken smile on her face as tears too leaked from her eyes. “Come Val, we need to make sure they are comfortable until…until they pass.”, she said softly. I nodded my head as I just stared at her blankly and with that, we all began the task of making the King and Queen, our father and mother, Kepa and Muña, comfortable in their final moments.
A Few Minutes Later:
Rhaerys’s POV:
I silently stood in front of one of the metal examination tables as I folded my mother and father’s old dirty and blooded clothes. We had just finished changing and washing our parent's wounds. We had taken off their armor, weapons and old clothes and changed them into soft shirts and pants to make them more comfortable. It still didn’t seem real; our parents are dying and there is nothing we can do to stop it. I clenched the dirty shirt in my hands as my thoughts began to wonder. ‘Why them? They are good people, good parents! They are a good King and Queen! So why them?’.
I moved my gaze over to my twin and my youngest sister, Naenyra and Maelenya. They were both scrubbing down our parents' armor and weapons as they would need to be cleaned for the funeral that would be held when we arrived at our destination. I saw them quietly speaking to each other, and what they were conversing about I decided not to try and listen to as it was between them alone. I then moved my gaze over to my eldest sister Valyria who was sitting between our parents’ beds diligently wiping their foreheads free of any sweat that accumulated. I felt my heartbreak for our elder sister who I knew could not bring herself to leave our parents' sides. I knew she mostly was still struggling to process that they were dying like the rest of us were. It was heartbreaking for all of us, but I knew it was hitting Valyria differently. She is our Kepa and Muña’s first born child, the Heir to our houses and Kingdom, she is the Princess and future Queen to the entire Valyrian race. She knew that her time to become Queen was to happen soon but not this soon, not in this horrible and tragic way. Her coronation was supposed to be a beautiful and delightful day but now she has been robbed of that. She now has to face the reality that she will be Queen much sooner than she wishes and that she will have to do so without the help and guidance of our parents.
I knew Valyria was trying to be strong for the rest of us, to not show weakness, to be the supportive and strong elder sister that she has always been to us but I could see the shakiness in her hands as she wiped the foreheads of our parents with a wet cloth, I could see the slight tremble of her lips as she desperately tried to hold back her tears. I could see the heartbroken and anguished look in her eyes as she stared at our parents' faces with a lost and hopeless look on her face. I felt my eyes well up with tears as I gazed at my elder sister, who is known to be strong, willful, hopeful, and loving now reduced to a mere shell of her former self due to the news that was delivered moments ago. I wanted so desperately to go over to her and comfort her, but I knew that my presence and comfort would not be appreciated right now.
‘What could we have done to prevent this? Every last one of us was trained to fight and defend our home and yet we coward away in the ship waiting for Kepa and Muña to return to us. Why didn’t we do anything? Why didn’t I do anything to help?’. I was brought out of my depressing thoughts from the shout of Valyria.
“Everyone! They’re waking up! They’re waking up!”.
I quickly jogged over to their side along with everyone else. As I approached the beds, I saw that both mother and father’s eyes were badly bloodshot, to the point where the whites of their eyes were almost covered all the way. I felt my heart stop as I took in their condition, they were getting worse. I looked over at Naenyra and Maelenya, who stood with all of our personal guards, to see that they too were pale in the face with wide anguished eyes. I finally turned my sights to Valyria and what I saw made my heart break and my stomach become tied in knots. I had never seen my elder sister look so defeated and lost. She was holding their hands with a blank, broken gaze in her eyes while she bit her lower lip to hold back her tears. I could see she was struggling to hold back her tears and cries, to be strong not only for us but for our parents now. I saw our Kepa was opening his mouth, but his throat must have been dry as he was struggling to speak. I signaled for Ser Arvin, my personal guard, to get our Kepa a glass of water.
In no time Ser Arvin was back with the glass of water and handed it to Valyria, as she is the one sitting closest to our parents. I watched as she helped sit our Kepa up and drink the water. Once he downed the water, he looked over towards the rest of us and motioned for us to approach. We all gathered around our parents and waited for him to start.
“I am relieved to see all of you safe and sou - *cough* *cough* - sound. How long have your mother and I been out?”, he questioned hoarsely.
“You have been out for a little while but not that long Kepa. We are all safe now…thanks to you and Muña.”, I replied softly.
“Good, I’m glad. There seems to be something that you aren’t telling us though.”, our mother suddenly replied. We all looked over to her and saw she was sitting up too.
“What aren’t you telling us little ones?”, softly questioned our father. We all looked towards each other before Valyria took a deep breath and turned her gaze towards our father.
“We have discovered that Muña and you have been poisoned Kepa, there…there is no cure. Forgive me Kepa, I have failed. Forgive me please.”, pleaded Valyria as a few tears escaped her eyes. I took a step towards her to comfort her, but father and mother beat me to it. Father pulled her into his side while mother carefully leaned over and rubbed her hand over her arm to help calm her down.
“It is my fault you are both like this, I am sorry. I am so sorry. I should have gone with both of you to help, I should have helped evacuate the Kingdom better instead of sitting around and doing nothing. I should-”
“Tala this isn’t-”
“I failed as your Heir Kepa. I failed as the princess-”
“Dear One, this is not your fault. You could not have done anything-”
“YES IT IS!!”, shouted Valyria causing everyone to flinch away from her. “It is my fault! I was not there when I needed to be. I failed as a Princess, as the future Queen as our people! I failed as your Heir Kepa! I failed as your daughter! This is my fault, if I had been there Muña and you would not be like this!”
“ENOUGH VALYRIA THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!”, exclaimed our father finally getting Valyria to stop her rant. Valyria stared at our father with her mouth wide open and tears slowly running down her face.
“This is not your fault Issa byka zaldrīzes. You have to believe your Muña and I, this is not your fault. You have not failed as my Heir or as the future Queen of our people and you most certainly have NOT failed us as our daughter Valyria!”, our father softly said to Valyria as he kissed her head and as our mother continued to rub her arm and softly murmur words of comfort in Valyrian. At this point Valyria was beginning to calm down, though her breathing was still slightly erratic from her earlier rant.
After a moment of Muña and Kepa soothing Valyria she finally calmed down even though some tears fell from her eyes. I knew that even though she let out a part of what she was feeling there was still more to come from her, and I knew that when our parents finally passed, which would be soon, everything that she was bottling would finally be released and everyone would need to be prepared for that. I was brought out of my observations by the sounds of our parents coughing horrendously. I looked at them to see that they were coughing quite badly but what scared me the most was the blood I saw coming out as they coughed. Springing forward I grabbed a spare cloth on a tray in front of me and wiped our mother's mouth while Valyria wiped our father's mouth. It took a few moments for them to stop coughing, but when they did, I shared a concerned look with Valyria, and I knew that the time left with our parents was ending sooner than we thought.
As I looked closer at our parents, I noticed that their skin was even paler than before, their entire body was caked in sweat now and their eyes were entirely red. I let out a shuddering breath as it hit me that they were going to die now. I knelt down next to our mother and took her hands in mine as I let the tears fall. I heard Naenyra and Maelenya approach as well as they stood next to Valyria and I. A gentle hand lifts my chin up and I was met with the sad but smiling face of our mother. As I looked at her, I saw in her eyes that she accepted that her time was up, even though she did not wish to leave us. As I looked towards our father, I saw that he too accepted his fate. Balerion has come for them and no matter how much I do not want them to go, nobody can escape the God of Death himself.
“You cannot leave us Kepa, Muña. Please.”, pleaded Maelenya.
“There is nothing we can do Mae, Balerion has decided that it is their time to go. We have to accept that no matter how much we do not want them to go.”, answered Naenyra softly. Even though her answer was logical, and her tone was soft I could hear the heartbreak in every word she said.
“Now I know all of you are greatly upset by this, but you MUST listen to me right now My Loves. You and those left of our people are headed for a new world, this world is your new beginning. You are not to go back to our old home. It is not safe there any longer.”, instructed our mother.
“What are you talking about Muña?”, I questioned. ‘What does she mean by not returning?’.
She sighed as she adjusted herself to get comfortable. “Many, many years during the days before I birthed your sister Valyria, I had been having strange dreams. Dreams that showed the destruction of our home. At first, I thought them to be irrational fears or nightmares caused by the stress of ruling and pregnancy but then I began to realize what was happening. I was having Dragon Dreams-”, she then began coughing violently once more. I quickly gave her a cloth to cough into and once she was done there was even more blood than before. She gave a sad smile before continuing her tale.
“As I was saying, I was having Dragon Dreams. I did not know why I was having such dreams, but I was. I did not let your father know until after the birth of Valyria. From there on we both tried to decipher the meaning of my dreams and how we could prevent the destruction of our home. Sadly, it seems as though the destruction of our home could not have been prevented no matter what we tried. In the end we have learned that we were betrayed by one of our own.”
I felt my stomach drop when she finished. Our home was always meant to be destroyed it seems, but the worst part was that one of our own betrayed their own people! How could someone do such a thing?
“Who? Who betrayed us?”, whispered Valyria. I could practically hear the fury hidden in her soft voice.
“It…It was Jaehaenar Maentalor.”, timidly answered our father.
Suddenly Valyria began to curse in Valyrian, startling all of us as she did not typically curse at all. I could practically feel the fury and anger coming off her body in waves. I wanted so badly to calm her down, but I knew better. Valyria, when angry, was extremely dangerous and not to be messed with.
“Relax Valyria, you cannot do anything to Jaehaenar. He is dead.”, declared father weakly.
“Your father is right, Jaehaenar was killed by none other than Josian Toyne. The cowards worked together to destroy our home. They knew right where to hit the Kingdom to make it collapse. I know you are feeling vengeful Valyria, but you must know that there is NOTHING that you can do now for our former home. You have to make a new home for the people and for yourselves. The hard truth is that your father and I will not be here to help rule now Valyria. YOU will be Queen Valyria and you…you must…be ready…for…that time is now.”, mother trailed off as she suddenly slid down the bed as her breathing rapidly began to slow.
“Mother!”, we exclaimed as we sprung to her side.
“It is…no use My Loves…the poison has spread throughout our entire body. Rhaegon…My Love…we must say goodbye.”
“You…You are right Valerys. My beautiful girls come here.”, he pleaded. Naenyra, Maelenya and myself gathered around our father and mother with Valyria in the middle.
youtube
“Now listen closely My Dears -*cough* *cough*- you must look out for one another, you four are what’s left of your mother and I. Take care of each other, help each -*cough* *cough*- help each other grow.”
“Maelenya, my youngest and most gentle daughter, never change who you are -*cough*- for the sake of others. You are the most peaceful one of the bunch but that does not make you weak. You are the voice of reason amongst your sisters. You have your mother’s gentle spirit, even if she will say she is anything but gentle. I remember when you were young, Valyria would bring you with her to some council meetings -*cough*- and you would sit there listening so intently for one so young. When you would speak up everyone would listen to you closely for you have the gentlest of voices, a voice blessed by the Gods and Goddesses to hypnotize those around. You would come up with the most simple and peaceful of solutions when the council could not agree on a matter. I know that you will use that peaceful nature of yours to help your sister rule our people well, you will help be the voice of reason during battle, you will help keep the peace during Valyria’s reign. You will be Maelenya The Peaceful.”
“Naenyra, the youngest of my twins, you are the one who is most connected to the animals and plants surrounding us. You -*cough* *cough*- You have a way with animals unlike anything I have ever seen. You helped take care of the animals in our former Kingdom and gave them a better quality of life. I remember that from an early age every animal that was in your presence seemed drawn to you. Never have I seen any animal be more peaceful than with you. You could tame even the fiercest of lions or tigers, calm the wildest of horses with your gentle touch. You rode your first horse at the age of 7, a feat not even I was able to accomplish. I remember the first magic -*cough* *cough* *cough*- you wished to master was Beast Taming magic. When you finally mastered it the joy on your face was so infectious it caused everyone you told to feel the same joy as you. With the help of this magic, you connected with the animals around us and helped others understand that the creatures in our Kingdom were not just animals but living beings who had thoughts and emotions just like us. You helped others understand that the livestock which became our food in the end needed to be thanked for their sacrifice so that we could. You would spend so many hours among the animals that you would come home caked in mud, grass stains on your clothes and other things that we will not mention, hahahaha. With such an incredible magic mastered I know that you will tame even the most ferocious beast on the new world we are heading to. You will be Naenyra; The Tamer of Beasts.”
“Rhaerys, the eldest of my twins, you are the most levelheaded of your siblings. Known for your calm demeanor and rational decisions. Even when egged on by an arrogant Lord or Lady you would never raise your voice at them but instead would stab them with the sharp words that came from your mouth. So clever and smart you are. You would disguise your insults to others in words sugarcoated with a false sweetness and kindness, everyone but us was fooled when you did this. You, My Dear, will be an amazing advisor to your sister, I just know it. *cough* *cough* Oh, Rhaerys I remember when you would pretend to be the future Hand for Valyria. You would always talk in this deep and commanding voice, making your mother and I laugh as you did so. At first, I thought it was some childish fantasy that you were creating but as you got older you really did become that future Hand. Whenever you sit in on the council meetings with Valyria and I, I watch as you observe every movement made by anyone, hang onto every word spoken by either myself, Valyria or the Lords and Ladies of the Council. I watched as you became the future Hand to the Queen through your own ways, not taught by me but by yourself. You have grown exponentially. I cannot tell you how proud I was when you found your voice for the first time in the Council. I remember it like it was yesterday, Lady Bara had been ranting on and on about her ideas to better the situation with the Solyra people, her ideas were outrageous in general, but nobody could get a word in between her rants. Finally, it seemed as if your sister had had enough and when she began to speak, I recall Lady Bara had interrupted her AND insulted -*cough* *cough* *cough*- insulted her. The silence in the meeting room was deafening and the rage I felt was indescribable but before I could speak you stood up so quietly and calmly as if nothing were wrong. Then you opened your mouth and unleashed a tongue lashing I had only seen your mother do. You spoke so calmly and steadily but everyone could hear the rage hidden in your words. The way Lady Bara’s face paled at each word you spoke was so amusing I had to bite my lip to keep from smiling in both amusement and pride. When you finally finished, I remember the way you calmly dismissed her from the Council room and when she refused to leave the way you ordered the guards to drag and throw her out was the best thing that had happened all day. I was SO proud of you -*cough*- in that moment Rhaerys. From that moment on I just KNEW that you were destined to become Hand of the Queen for your sister. I know now that this is the role you were made for My Dear. You will be Rhaerys, The Hand of the Queen.”
The trembling of my lips became more aggressive as our father said his final words to us. I could see the tears falling from my sister’s eyes. I knew they were struggling to hold in their sobs and cries for I too was in the same shape. Hearing our father struggling to say his final words was rough but seeing him cough out blood as he did so was heartbreaking. But through this, he kept a smile on his face with love and pride in his eyes as he looked at each of us as he addressed us. Finally, he moved his gaze over to Valyria and I knew this was going to be rough on both him and Valyria. The bond they shared was indescribable. I moved closer to Valyria and placed a hand on her shoulder, seeing me do this, Maelenya and Naenyra did the same as well. We would be our sisters' support through this.
“Valyria…My sweet, sweet Valyria. My Heir and eldest child. Forgive me Tala for the pain my words have caused your sisters, forgive me for the pain I am about to cause y -*cough* *cough*- you. The first time I laid eyes on you when you were born was the happiest moment of my life. You looked so small as I held you in my hands, I feared I was going to hurt you if I even moved the slightest bit. The moment when our eyes first locked, I knew that you were destined for remarkable things. Have I ever told you why your mother and I named you Dragonborn?”
She shook her head at his question causing him to let out a weak chuckle before continuing.
“We named you Dragonborn because on the day of your birth a baby dragon was hatched by Jaehaenar Maentalor.”
My eyes widened in shock at his admission. I could see the same shock in the other's eyes as well for the very idea seemed ludicrous for dragons have not been hatched in centuries. How could Jaehaenar Maentalor manage to have hatched one?
“I know, I too was just as shocked as you at the time as was your mother. Sadly, the hatchling did not survive more than a day. Your mother and I did not even come up with your name in all honesty. An incredibly old friend of ours did, Rosie Mervillian was her name. She was a servant for your mother and I, she was the one to come up with your name.”
“What happened to her?”, weakly questioned Valyria but he just shook his head.
“My beautiful girl, how proud I am to have seen you grow into the wonderful and beautiful women you have become. You have made me SO proud, it has brought me so much joy to see you grow up into the beautiful Queen that you will be. I am sorry your mother and I will not be here to see you become Queen. I love your sisters so VERY much, but you are my first born, my baby girl, my little Dragonborn. *cough* *cough* I remember when you first sat on the Throne with me as I met with some delegations, you were smiling so noticeably big that I was afraid your cheeks would be sore afterwards. You sat on my lap as we talked, you were so silent I was worried that you had fallen asleep but when I looked down, I saw that you were watching the proceedings with great interest for one so young. I remember when you first began your training with weapons and magic, I was beyond worried you would get hurt but in the end, I had nothing to worry over for you excelled at everything your mother and I threw at you. The first time you beat me in a sword match, I cannot tell you how proud I was and when you mastered your first magical ability the joy and happiness that radiated from you was something I will always remember. Your strength and magical capabilities know no bounds; you can become something this world has never seen. With your sisters at your side, I know for a fact that you will be an amazing Queen -*cough* *cough* *cough*. This world you and your sisters are traveling to will not know what hit them, you have the power to change whatever stands in your way. I know you fear the power you hold inside of you but please, do not be afraid to let your power flow through, do not be afraid to let your inner dragon out Valyria. The power you hold inside of you will -*cough*- change the world as you know it. Your mother has foreseen you standing above your fallen enemies with chains and collars thrown at your feet. She says she could hear people calling you a strange phrase we have never heard. Amadel, is what they called you. Your mother saw the people reaching out to you with love and hope shining in their eyes. She foresaw a strange man with long inky black hair with the bluest eyes standing just behind your shoulder, staring at you with the deepest love and adoration shining in his eyes. She foresaw you kneeling as a crown is placed upon your head with an army of dragons behind you, roaring as one. You, my dearest girl, are meant for something bigger than you can imagine. You will be Valyria, The Mother of Dragons.”.
As he finished, I looked at Valyria to see she had her head bowed with her shoulders shaking violently as she brought her and father’s connected hands to her forehead. I could hear her breathing hitch now and again as she stifled her cries of sorrow. I along with the others squeezed her shoulders in a show of silent support. I knew that the heartbreak and anguish we were feeling was bad but compared to Valyria ours was nothing. She silently shook her head in despair. I suddenly felt a hand on my arm, and I turned my head to see our mother looking at us sadly with a smile on her face.
“Muña.”, I gasped, which caught the attention of the others.
“Do not despair My Little Loves. I know this is hard for you all but know that your father and I will be watching you from The Dragon Garden’s. Your father has said enough on both of our behalf's, I love you four so very much. Always be true to yourself My Loves, do not change who you are for the sake of others. My little Maelenya, do not ever let others bring you down. As your father said, you are the voice of reason amongst you all. Stay true to that and you will be led astray. I personally sealed away the books containing the history and meetings of Aedar Targaryen The Just. I know you admired him for his peaceful and just solutions. They were -*cough* *cough*- were hard to find during the attack but I saved them just for you. Oh Naenyra, for you I sealed away every animal on Senetera. I had this planned a long time ago when the signs that our Kingdom was going to be attacked. That 5 year trip I made by myself all those years ago? Well, this is the reason for it. When you began mastering the Beast Taming Magic, I just knew I had to make the trip. Do not worry Dear the animals are all safe inside the scrolls. The scrolls have been customized by me so that the animals stay asleep until they are released from the scrolls. I had them hidden away in your father and I’s bedchambers. Along with the scrolls are journals containing all the knowledge on the animals and what habitats would be best suited for them. For you Rhaerys, I have -*cough*- sealed away the journals and books containing the knowledge from all the Hand’s of the King or Queen that came before your father and I. You can use their knowledge to help better yourself as a Hand of the Queen. In the journals are their thoughts and secrets on what makes a successful Hand. Your father had them stored away specifically for you. I know you will use them wisely. Finally, for you Valyria, I have sealed away every single journal and book that contains knowledge on the Kings and Queens that preceded you. They contain their innermost thoughts, feelings, and ideas. With their knowledge you can help make yourself a better ruler. But I had done this years prior, your real gift from me, and to your sisters, are all the dragon eggs I found stashed away in the Treasury.”.
I felt my breath leave me as she finished. ‘Dragon eggs? How is this possible?’. I could see the same question in my sister’s eyes as well. This almost did not sound real.
“How is this-”, began Valyria but mother interrupted her.
“I do not know how, when, or why but all I know is that YOU are destined to hatch them Valyria along with your sisters. Your father is right -*cough* *cough*- I had Dragon Dreams of your future. You have always been fascinated by dragons and have had a deep connection with our history with them. This -*cough* *cough* *cough*- fascination and connection is what makes you the Mother of Dragons in my dreams. I know our history says that a Valyrian is only able to bond with one dragon, but you were destined to bond with many dragons not just one. *cough* *cough* The Gods and Goddesses have big plans for you Valyria but just know that your sisters will stand with you till the very end. I am sorry that we must leave you so soon My Loves but know we will be watching you every step of the way.”
When she finished, she laid back down and reached out to us. I held her hand along with the others and a soft sob finally escaped my throat. I heard Maelenya and Naenyra begin to softly sob as well but when I did not hear Valyria’s cries, I looked over to see that she had her head down with her eyes squeezed shut and gritting her teeth to keep her cries from escaping. I felt both irritation and anguish course through my blood at my sister refusing to sob and cry in front of us, still trying to be strong in front of everyone. I looked around me and noticed that Ser Arvin and the others too had tears falling from their eyes, but they had their heads bowed in respect to our dying parents.
“Could you - *cough* *cough*- sing Valyria? Sing anything Dear One. Sad, Happy, Joyful, whatever you wish -*cough*- just please sing.”, pleaded our father.
“Please Valyria sing for us…”, agreed our mother.
I saw Valyria tense up for just a split second before she nodded her head. When she lifted her head, I felt as if my stomach had dropped to the floor. Her face had tears running down it, like all of us, but what really got me was the dead, defeated and haunted look in her eyes. It looked as if she were truly dead, no light shined in her eyes, but I could see just the tiniest hint of determination in them as well, determination to fulfill our parents' last wish. I watched as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. For a moment there was silence, only broken by our parents' soft and labored breathing, then she began to sing.
Verse 1:
“Jagon sōvegon, zȳhon ondor
Nādīnagon, jārodas ozor
Kȳndravegon, se zōbrie ondor
Zaldrīzot, āeksia ossēnātās”
Chorus:
“Sōvegon, sōvegon
Zȳhon lēdys, jagon sōvegon
Sōvegon, sōvegon
Zaldrīzot lēdys, jagon sōvegon”
Verse 2:
“Nādīnagon, jēdaris ossor
Se ozārȳla, se zȳhys raqiros
Kessa lī zijo, ziry rijas
Zaldrīzot, āeksia ossēnātās”
Chorus:
“Sōvegon, sōvegon
Zȳhon lēdys, jagon sōvegon
Sōvegon, sōvegon
Zaldrīzot lēdys, jagon sōvegon”
As she sang, her soft but sad voice brought a whole wave of new tears to my eyes. The song itself was beautiful but sad, it was meant for funerals or…or when you sang someone to sleep until Balerion came for their souls. It was what she was doing right now. As she continued to sing, I watched our parents’ faces, I saw smiles appear on their faces, I saw peace finally take over the pain that previously occupied them. Finally, as Valyria finished the chorus I watched as our parents breathed their last breath. They had finally passed on, with smiles on their faces.

The King and The Dragoness: Information
The King and The Dragoness is a story about a woman named Valyria Targaryen-Vaelitheos and her sisters who come from a planet known as Senetera. When they and their people are betrayed by one of their own and their home is destroyed they are forced to abandon their home and planet in search of a new one. In the process the sisters lose their parents to poison and Valyria is forced to step up and become the new leader and Queen of the Valyrian people. They arrive at a planet known as Arda (or Middle Earth) and they decide that this place will be their knew home. When they touch down on Arda they discover that some “old friends” had been sent to the planet before them on mission assigned by their parents. When Valyria and the others are informed of this they grow suspicious about why their parents would assign the mission and they learn that Queen Valerys, Valyria and her sisters mother, had prophetic dreams about the destruction of their home but not who would be the cause of the destruction.
As the truth is laid bare as to what happened Valyria decides to make a new home for her people on Arda and asks the “old friends” what information they can give them about the inhabitants of Arda. After being told a brief summary on the people of Arda, Valyria learns that the continent of Middle Earth was split into two with a large wall separating the two halves. The wall was built by the Valar after they defeated Morgoth. None have dared to cross the wall, stories have been told about terrible creatures that live on the other side, that the great Ancalagon The Black sleeps there waiting for his master to return. (This is not part of the canon story line but apart of my story.)
Some say that there is a prophecy that tells of a woman with starlight for hair will come down from the heavens and cleanse the land and beings beyond the wall and return it to its original beauty. Some believe the prophecy and some don’t.
Valyria and her sisters learn that the stories and legends about horrible creatures on the other side of the wall is false and that dwarves, elves and humans live there but the continent is ruled by slavers who profit off of those who suffer under their rule. There is also a rumor that there are spies in Middle Earth who kidnap humans, dwarves and elves alike and take them to the other side of the wall to be sold as slaves. Still suffering from the lose of both their home and parents the sisters are told they don’t have to make a decision right away and are then escorted to rooms where they can sleep. As Valyria goes to sleep that night she and her sisters are visited by certain deities (wink, wink) and told them what must be done. Once given this new information the sisters decide that they will go to the other side of the wall and begin their conquest and goal of abolishing slavery.
Valyria and Thorin are the main pair that I will be showing and their paths won’t cross for a while as I want to show Valyria and her sisters conquest, battles and such. Thorin will be a bit OOC (Out of Character) when he meets Valyria. I plan on making their relationship a medium speed one, so it won’t be slow burn because I suck at that kind of relationship. Thorin will be a simp for Valyria cause she is his One (basically his Soulmate) and he can’t wait to charm, court and woo her. I will be posting some information about the Valyrians that I made up. Thorin and Valyria will also be virgins. Thorin will be a virgin because I see Thorin being too busy with his duties as a Prince and being exiled and all that, and being intimate with someone is a very private and important act in Dwarven culture, but also because I have this thing where he dreams of a woman with beautiful white hair and looks like a goddess. This woman is Valyria and they both have had dreams of each other but can’t tell if the other is real, even though they feel in their souls that each other is real. And in a way Thorin was saving himself for her and just her, even if he never met her in his current life then maybe in the next he could (spoiler they meet lol). I just want Valyria and Thorin to have this special connection and to be a badass power couple. Now Valyria will be a virgin for the same reason but also because of her races biology (will talk about that in a different post).
Valyria is also going to be very special because the gods and goddesses have chosen her for a very special purpose. I’m not going to forget her sisters or anything, but Valyria is my main female character that I will be focusing on, along with Thorin. Of course there will be chapters that show the POV of Valyria’s sisters and other characters but Valyria and Thorin will be my main focus. Valyria and her sisters are also going be very powerful, not godlike (maybe...), but powerful enough since they are descendants from the two most powerful Valyrian houses.
This is all the information I have for you right now, if you have any questions feel free to comment down below and I will do my best to answer them.

The King and The Dragoness: Chapter 2: The End...Part 1
Chapter 2: The End...Part 1
"Normal Speech"
"Telepathy"
'Thoughts/Thinking'
"Angry/Yelling"
Valyria's POV:
'How did it come to this?', I wondered dazedly as I sat in a chair while being checked out by a healer. 'Just a few hours ago my life was perfect and now everything is ruined.'. I looked over at my sisters to see that they too were in a similar state that I was in, dazed eyes staring at nothing and wondering what went wrong I shifted my eyes to the right and felt my eyes begin to sting with tears as I stared at the cold and still bodies of our father and mother.
'It's all THEIR fault!', I angrily thought as rage began to fill my body.
Flashback:
Valyria's POV:
I hummed in contentment as I sat in the steaming hot water of my bathtub. It had been a long day of training with my mother and sisters and sitting in council meetings with my father to further learn the way of politics. I then went for a trail ride after the final meeting with my horse Blackjack which sadly ended because of a fierce storm that caught us by surprise. And when I arrived home, I was soaking wet, so I immediately headed to my room to get a hot bath started which leads me to right now.
After a few more minutes of soaking, I finally got out as my skin began to wrinkle. As I stepped out of the bath I grabbed my towel, dried my body and hair before grabbing my silk nightgown. I was about to sit down at my vanity to brush through my hair when I was suddenly thrown to the ground. I grunted as I landed and when I opened my eyes, I noticed that everything was shaking. I quickly got to my feet and stumbled my way over to the window that showed the whole kingdom. I was horrified by what I saw. Fires were spread throughout the whole kingdom causing mayhem and ruin; the screams of my people assaulted my ears.
'Bang!'
I whipped around to see my mother and father standing there along with Ser Byron, my sisters, and their guards. "What is happening?!", I exclaimed as my father rushed forwards, grabbed my hand, and began dragging me towards the door.
"There is no time to explain but it appears we have been betrayed by those we thought to be our allies Issa byka zaldrīzes. You, your sisters, and your guards will go to the Royal Travel Spaceship and wait for your mother and I.", my father quickly explained as we all made our way to the spaceship hangar. As we ran to the hangar, the castle continued to shake, and explosions could still be heard outside. We finally arrived at the hangar and our father and mother ushered us onto the ship. When we were all inside, I turned around and saw that our parents had not entered the ship with us.
"What are you doing?", I questioned as the others turned around and took notice as well.
"Your father and I have to go back and take care of a few things.", my mother answered. I opened my mouth to protest but I was silent when my mother held up her hand and I knew this was not up for discussion as did the others.
"Come back...please.", pleaded Maelenya but judging by the looks on their faces they could not promise anything.
"For you and your sisters, we will try Moonbeam.", said our father before our mother and him rushed back into the castle.
'Please come back, we...I'm not ready to lose you both yet.', I thought but I could not shake the feeling of uneasiness that something bad was going to happen.
Third Person POV:
Both Rhaegon and Valerys rushed through the castle as explosions and screaming was heard around them. They hated that they had to leave their children behind in the ship, but they knew they had to keep the secrets of the Valyrian race secret, and they also had to seal as much treasure away in sealing scrolls to help them in the future or, in case they do not survive, help their children. The couple stopped in the hallway that splits off to the Throne Room and the Treasury and looked at each other.
"I will go to the Throne Room and start the self-destruction sequence while you go to the treasury and seal as much away as possible. There are sealing scrolls already in there, so you do not have to make any.", instructed Rhaegon.
"Are you sure it is wise to split up Issa jorrāelagon?", asked Valerys.
Rhaegon gave his wife a grave look. "We don't have much of a choice Issa qēlos.". With that both gave each other a look filled with all the love they felt for each other and then split off from each other, both hoping and praying that they would see each other and their children again.
With Rhaegon:
Rhaegon ran as fast as he could to the Throne Room as he did not wish to be separated from his family longer than he had to be. As he ran, house cleaners and servants rushed past him, blinded by their fear and panic. Rhaegon wished so badly to stop and reassure them that he would be able to stop the attack and protect them all but sadly he could not no matter how much he wanted to.
He finally arrived at the Throne Room and quickly threw open the large double doors, happy to see that there were no enemies inside waiting for him. Quickly making his way over to the center of the room, he stopped in front of a large round table and placed his hands on it and infused his magic energy into it causing a see-through screen to appear with ancient Valyrian runes on it. Rhaegon looked at the screen with despair on his face, his hand hovering over the screen.
'I have to do this, it's for the protection of our race and our secrets,', thought Rhaegon, 'no matter how much I do not want to. Forgive me, ancestors...I have no choice!', and with that Rhaegon pressed the screen.
"Self-destruct sequence activated. You have 45 minutes to evacuate, Your Grace.", said a robotic female voice.
Rhaegon quickly spun around and sprinted out of the Throne Room and headed not for the Spaceship Hanger but for his daughters' rooms to quickly seal away any clothes and other stuff they may need. And in the end, he knew this would cost him, but this is what it means to be a parent, a father.... making sure that your children are happy, safe and have everything they need.
With Valerys:
As soon as Valerys left Rhaegon, she sprinted to the Treasury. She stumbled here and there as the castle shook with the continued attack from the enemy. The Queen did not stop for anything or anyone no matter how much she wanted to, the screams of the injured or scared assaulted her ears as she rushed past the people making the noises. The people reached out to her hoping that she would stop and help them but sadly she could not, which tore her heart and soul apart.
Finally, Valerys arrived at the Treasury and hurriedly pushed open the large double doors. As she entered the Treasury, mountains of gold, jewels, armor, and other expensive treasures surrounded the beautiful Queen. Sitting on a pedestal was a closed chest, Valerys walked up to the chest and opened it to see multiple storage scrolls. Taking a few scrolls Valerys looked at them and sighed before going over to the treasure and began sealing it all away. As Valerys finished sealing away a large mountain of treasure, she noticed multiple large mounds that did not seem to be made of gold or jewels, so she stood up and made her way over to them. When she stopped in front of the mounds, Valerys was shocked tremendously by what she saw.
Dragon eggs. Hundreds of dragon eggs carefully hidden behind the mountains of treasure. Valerys was baffled by the sight as she and many others believed that all remaining dragon eggs had either been destroyed or lost to time.
'It seems almost impossible and yet.... here they are', thought Valerys in awe. She was quickly shaken out of her awe when the castle gave a particularly violent shake which brought Valerys back to the present. 'I have to hurry up and seal these and everything else away before it's too late.', and with that final thought the Queen got back to work.
Valerys quickly sealed away the rest of the treasure and as she did this, she continued to discover more dragon eggs which she moved into one massive pile. By the time she finished sealing away the rest of the treasure the Queen had discovered almost a thousand dragon eggs in total, which was quite a lot. Another interesting thing she found was the legendary dragon skulls of House Targaryen that had "mysteriously" disappeared during King Baegor II reign. They were just hidden away in the Treasury. Valerys quickly sealed away the eggs into a single scroll before going over to the skulls and sealing them away in the remaining scrolls. Once everything was sealed away Valerys grabbed a large satchel and put the scrolls into it before putting it over her shoulder and rushing out of the now completely empty Treasury and heading towards the Royal Library to seal away the knowledge and secrets of the Valyrian race.
With Rhaegon:
Rhaegon arrived at Maelenya's, his youngest daughter's, room first and made his way over to the wall across from him and pressed his hand against it and that section of the wall moved to reveal a secret compartment filled with a bunch of sealing scrolls in case of emergencies. Rhaegon had these compartments installed in all his daughters' rooms for situations like these, he just wished said situation had not come true. He grabbed all the scrolls and went over to her closet and began sealing away all her clothes, shoes, and accessories into one scroll. He then went into her bathroom and began sealing away her towels, shampoos and conditioners, lotions, perfumes, candles, and towels. When he was finished in the bathroom he went back into the bedroom and began sealing away her blankets, furs, pillows, books, pictures, etc. Once that was finished he took a quick look around to see if he missed anything, as he had a couple scrolls remaining, but luckily he did not see anything too important that he missed but as he looked around a sense of sadness stabbed him in the chest as he noticed just how bare his youngest daughter's room looked where before it was full of life and cheer reflecting the person housing the room. He quickly shook himself out of his thoughts and made his way out of the room and headed towards the twins shared room which was a few rooms down from Maelenya's room and the King thanked the Gods and Goddesses that his children were so close to each other that they did not wish to be roomed far from one another.
Rhaegon arrived at Rhaerys and Naenyra's shared room after a quick jog there, as quick as he could with the castle shaking and a battle raging on outside, and quickly made his way inside and quickly repeated the same process that he did in Maelenya's room. Sealing away their personal items, into separate scrolls mind you, bathroom and toiletries, clothes, and bedding stuff. As he sealed the final items away, he looked around and the same feeling of sadness entered him, but he was quicker to shake it off and make his way out of the room towards his eldest daughter's and heirs' room. Once he arrived in Valyria's room, he took a deep breath and began repeating the same process that he did before feeling his heart breaking with every item he sealed away. Do not get him wrong, he loved his daughters with his whole heart but Valyria and him share a special bond with each other and luckily her sisters were not jealous of this bond, but they encouraged it and accepted it. And now it broke his heart to empty her room and turn into a barren, lifeless room. As he sealed the last item of importance away, he felt a tear leak from his eye and run down his cheek as feelings of despair, sadness, anger, and agony gripped his heart in a soul crushing squeeze. He closed his eyes, took a deep calming breath, and opened them after a moment of silence but before he could do anything else the castle gave a violent shake which threw him to the ground making him land with a harsh grunt. The King shook off the feeling of slight dizziness he felt and got to his feet slowly; once he got his bearings back, he immediately thought of his wife and children, so he closed his eyes and focused on the Mating Bond he shared with Valerys and searched it to see if she was all right. She must have felt him through their shared bond because she sent back waves of reassurance and love which proved to him that she was okay, but he would search her physically once he met back up with her. He then reached out to his children through their shared Familial Bond and searched them as well and as they became aware of him, he felt waves of reassurance come from Rhaerys, Naenyra and Maelenya but when he didn't feel anything from Valyria, he felt panic spike through him which spiked through the bond connecting him to his children. He was quickly reassured when he felt a sense of calmness wash over him while he heard a faint whisper in the back of his mind.
"I'm fine", whispered the voice which Rhaegon immediately identified as Valyria, he wanted to question how she was speaking to him in his mind, but he did not question it and just thanked the Gods and Goddesses that she and the others were safe. He instantly sent back feelings of reassurance and love to his children before rushing out of Valyria's room and heading towards the Royal Library as he followed the pull of his Mating Bond. He checked his mental timer on how much time was left before the self-destruction completed and he picked up his pace when he realized that he and his wife only had 30 minutes left to get back to the ship and their children.
It took Rhaegon about 5 minutes to get to the Royal Library and he noticed that the double doors were wide open, which and thanks to the Mating Bond he knew it was his wife that was in there and not an intruder. He continued running as he entered the library in search of his wife, which did not take long thanks to the Bond. And he found his wife surrounded by books sealing them away as quickly as possible. She did not even need to look up to know it was him that was in front of her as she tossed him a book which he caught. They did not even speak to each other to know what the other was thinking because Rhaegon instantly began sealing away the books surrounding his wife and in no time, they had the books sealed away. Once they were finished, Rhaegon noticed the multiple bags surrounding his wife which contained scrolls with sealed books and treasures from the Treasury. Rhaegon quickly grabbed as many bags as he could with some wrapped around his shoulders and some in his hands. Valerys did the same thing and together they rushed out of the library, heading towards the hangar which contained their ship and children. As they rushed through the shaking and slowly crumbling castle Rhaegon felt an unknown feeling flow through him as he got the impression that Valerys and him might not make it out of this alive and judging by the look Valerys was giving him she had the same feeling as well. As they ran and ran through the many halls the feeling finally became known to him as they came across a fairly good sized group of people blocking their way; the consisting of men in armor and with swords as weapons and a black three-headed snake sigil on their armor and at the front of the group was an older man of average height with thin brown hair, pale skin, hazel eyes, a light amount of scruff of his face and he was dressed in fancy looking armor that was black and silver in color with a large black three headed snake outlined in the chest piece and he carried a Short Sword as his weapon of choice. This man was Josian Toyne, the leader of the Dekvine people and the number one enemy of King Rhaegon and Queen Valerys. As Rhaegon looked at the group in front of him he recognized the feeling inside him...fear.
Third Person POV:
The group stared at each other, sizing one another up as a tense atmosphere loomed over them. Rhaegon and Valerys kept their faces neutral but on the inside anger and rage clashed together into one violent feeling that made the King and Queen wish to slay the fools in front of them. Both King and Queen slowly took the bags off their shoulders and set them down on the ground calmly. Then Rhaegon put his hand on his sword while Valerys put her hands on her twin swords, which are strapped to her hips. Everyone continued to stare at each other, and the silence stretched on for a moment longer but was suddenly broken by the chuckling of Josian which caught the attention of the King and Queen.
"What are you laughing about you scumbag?", spat Valerys with venom dripping from every word she spoke.
"Oh nothing 'Your Grace'", mocked Josian. "I just thought that this day would never come. I mean after years and years of planning, of scheming, it only took one person from the inside to make this day happen. And the funnier thing is that it was one of your own subjects that helped me!", he cackled madly.
Rhaegon and Valerys stood there in shock as the truth was revealed to them. One of their own subjects BETRAYED them, betrayed their ENTIRE race. The royal couple tried to think of anyone they knew who was capable of such a horrible thing and only one name came to mind; Jaehaenar Maentalor. Both individuals knew this was the only person capable of this evil act. And to be honest, they could not be all that surprised. Jaehaenar proved repeatedly he was a lying and self-centered individual who cared only about himself and his goals. They just underestimated how far gone he truly was.
"You don't seem all that surprised Your Majesties.", the sound of Josian's voice brought them out of their thoughts.
"Not really, he was always a weasel and trying to gain the upper hand on my husband and I.", said the Queen with clear disgust in her voice.
"Sounds a little harsh My Lady", Josian said snidely.
"I don't really care. If it were up to me, I would have sliced his head from his body long ago but sadly it was not.", Valerys said coldly and with little to no emotion in her tone.
"Well, it doesn't matter now. The fool served his purpose to me.", Josian said cruelly.
"I'm not surprised you killed him already. An arrogant bastard like you could never share the glory.", remarked Rhaegon.
"How right you are 'My Lord'. He did not deserve to share this with me. He was beneath me, just like everyone else is. Including you and your pathetic wife and children.", spoke Josian arrogantly.
"See that is where you are wrong. You will never be as great as you think you are. You are nothing but a spoiled, arrogant, inept, little boy who will NEVER be a true man.", spoke Valerys and at every word Josian's face became redder and redder until his face was as red as a fresh tomato. Rhaegon and Valerys could see it in his face, he was about to crack and then the fight would be in their favor because one false move and he was dead. Suddenly his face went back to normal, and he gained a sick and arrogant smile on his face.
"You see that is where you are wrong Lady Valerys. I will be a TRUE man soon. Once you and your miserable husband are out of my way, your 'lovely' daughters are next. I think I will go for your oldest daughter. What is her name again? Ah, that is right. Valyria. I hear she is a tough little girl; I will enjoy breaking her when I get my hands on her. And I think your other daughters I will loan out to my men later as well.", Josian spoke with a twisted and sick smile on his face. This caused Rhaegon to snap because faster than a strike of lightning he drew his sword and with magic infused steps was in front of Josian and slicing him across his face from his right cheek to the left side of his head. Josian let out a scream and then the fight was on.
Rhaegon quickly blocked a strike coming at him and pushed the offender back with his magic enhanced strength which caused the offender to hit the wall behind him. He then ducked under a swing that came from behind him and sliced the second man across the stomach causing his insides to spill out in a splash of blood. Seeing her husband fighting alone, Valerys quickly rushed in the fray drawing her dual swords on the way. As she arrived, she saw the man Rhaegon shoved from before getting up from the ground about to attack the King but before he could even raise his sword Valerys had already sliced his head off with one clean, strong swing of one of her swords. Husband and wife fought together, moving so gracefully it almost seemed like a dance, a bloody and violent dance. They moved together like they were of a single mind, knowing when to block, strike, and slash. In no time the couple had defeated more than half of Josian's group of men with blood and guts littering the ground. As the King and Queen fought, they did not notice Josian getting up from the ground with a look of pure rage on his face nor did they notice him pull out a blow dart gun from a pouch on his hip until it was too late. Josian quickly shot out two darts which hit the King and Queen in their neck which then caused them to let out gasps of pain. What they did not know was that the darts were laced with a deadly poison that was acting fast, they were already dead, but they just didn't know it. Valerys ripped the dart from her neck and faced Josian to see he was loading another dart into the blow dart gun but before he knew what hit him Valerys was already in front of him with one of her swords through his heart. As the light left the man's eyes the Queen pulled her sword free from his body and watched as his body hit the ground with a sickening thud. Blood began to pool under the body, but Valerys was pulled from her observation at the sound of her husband's pained groan, and she turned around to see him leaning against the wall while holding his neck in pain. Jogging towards him she gently pushed his hand away from his neck to see that the area where he was hit with the dart had turned an ugly purple with the veins around it slowly turning black. Immediately, the Queen knew her husband had been poisoned and that her neck was most likely in the same shape as Rhaegon's. Valerys felt tears enter her eyes at the knowledge that they would die soon as the poison was acting fast and might not make it back to their daughters. The Queen felt determination fill her at the thought of their daughters and quickly pulled her husband up by his arms.
"Quickly Issa jorrāelagon we must hurry back to the ship if we wish to survive and see our daughters.", ordered Valerys.
"How bad is it Issa vēzos?", questioned the King even though he already knew the answer.
"I'm not going to lie Rhaegon is it bad and we will most likely not live long when we reach the ship.", answered Valerys sadly.
The King felt his heart stop at his wife's sentence. "We.", he croaked out.
Valerys felt her heart squeeze at her husband's tone. "Yes we; I was hit as well Dear.", the Queen softly admitted as a single tear streaked down her face as the truth of the situation finally hit both her husband and her. They were never going to see their daughters fully grow up, see them get married, have children, etc. The Queen choked down a sob that was building up inside her at the truth. She felt Rhaegon tense up beside her before pulling away from her arms and standing up to his full height, even though he struggled with the poison seeping away his strength just like it was doing to her.
Rhaegon looked at his wife with determination and a great sadness in his eyes as he said, "Well, we had best hurry if we wish to see our daughters one last time.". Valerys nodded her head in agreement while her lips trembled with repressed sobs and with that, they were off, racing towards the ship that held their most precious treasures.
Few Minutes Later:
Valyria's POV:
I let out an anxious sigh as I paced back and forth in front of my siblings and the other people that had joined us on the ship. Our parents had been gone longer than anticipated but I knew I could not go running off in search of them as it was my duty to protect my siblings and subjects that were aboard the ship. So, all I could do was pace and worry as I waited for them. I knew I was not the only one worried about them; I could sense the nervousness and worry of my siblings in waves. My anxiety kept increasing as the shaking and rumbling of the castle continued to grow stronger and more violent and I knew it would not be long before the self-destruct sequence was completed, and the Kingdom would be nothing but a pile of rubble. Some of the citizens and our families most trusted friends/allies had been evacuated onto the other space shuttles and were in orbit waiting on us. I continued to pace and worry for another moment when I suddenly heard footsteps approaching us; I whipped my head around and was greeted with a troubling sight. My parents were hustling towards us but what caught my attention was their pale, sweaty and tired-looking faces and I swear I saw what looked like large purple marks on their necks. I was brought out of my observation to the shouts of those behind me telling mother and father to hurry up. They quickened their pace, but I could see they were struggling, and this caused my worry to increase tenfold. They then arrived at the ship, brushed past us, and made their way towards the cockpit while Maelenya hit a button on the wall that shut the ramp, and then we all went to the cockpit too, with me leading the way. As we arrived at the cockpit, I noticed that my father was in the pilot's seat while my mother was in the co-pilot's seat pressing buttons that suddenly brought the ship to life.
"Alright everyone sit down and buckle up, we are getting out of here!", exclaimed my mother over the roar of the engine. We all quickly made our way to the open seats and did as she instructed.
In no time at all we were out of the hanger and into the open air with our parents steer the large vessel through the air and as I sneak a peek out the window, I am seated next to I feel my stomach drop and my heart lurch into my throat; my Kingdom, my HOME up in flames being destroyed by the very people we thought were our allies. I felt a mixture of emotions well up inside me; sadness, anger, betrayal but the biggest one that I felt was regret. Regret for not helping those who were not able to escape the attack, regret for not defending my home and people and mostly regret for not killing the one who orchestrated the attack. Tears welled up in my eyes as I watched my burning home grow smaller and smaller in the distance as we flew away and I knew that nothing was ever going to be the same again.
"Alright everybody hang on, we are entering hyperspace!!", shouted my father which brought me out of my depressing thoughts, and I watched as the ships next to us entered hyperspace alongside us. Where we were heading, I had no clue. I could only hope that it was safe for my people along with my family and myself.

The King and The Dragoness: Chapter 1: A Beautiful Day
Chapter 1: A Beautiful Day
"Normal Speech"
"Reading"
'Thoughts/Thinking'
"Yelling/Angry"
Valyria's POV:
I slowly opened my eyes as I felt myself begin to wake up, I then sat up and stretched my arms high above my head before looking towards my window to see the sun just beginning to rise into the sky which caused the sky to look like it was on fire due to the yellow, orange, and red colors being projected by the sun. I then threw the covers off me and made my way towards the bathroom connected to my bedroom and walked towards the drop-in bathtub, plugged up the drain, turned on the hot water, and let it fill the tub. As I waited for the tub to fill up, I began to light my scented candles, as it is part of my morning routine, and then walked into my walk-in closet that is attached to my bathroom and picked out my outfit for the day. Since it is the middle of the summer I decided to go with an open black and red and flowy dress with an open back, an opening in the shape of a diamond in the middle of my stomach and an opening on either side of my waist. The dress also came with two gold rings that are on the front of the dress, these helped create the diamond pattern on the front, that were attached to a belt that wrapped around my middle and connected in the back. I then picked out a pair of black heels that had a beautiful gold floral design starting at the top of my toes going up and ending where the ankle strap is, then for jewelry I picked out a gold necklace that wrapped around the back of my neck with a dragon head on each side so that they were facing each other. Finally, I decided to forgo a bra today and decided on just a pair of black panties as my undergarments for the day. Once I had everything picked out, I brought it into my bedroom and laid it all out on the end of my bed before making my way back into the bathroom to see that the tub was filled up enough for me, so I shut off the hot water and began to strip out of my sleeping clothes. I stepped into the steaming hot water and sighed as I felt myself relaxing and beginning to awaken further. I then grabbed the bar of soap next to me and began to wash my body thoroughly. Luckily for me the females of our species, the Valyrians, are naturally hairless unlike the humans who also inhabit Senetera alongside us. Once I was finished washing my body, I tipped my head back to wet my hair and then grabbed the bottle of sweet-smelling shampoo and began washing my hair thoroughly just like I did with my body and once that was finished, I tipped my head back into the water to wash out the suds from my hair and repeated the process with the conditioner next. As I finished washing my hair, I just tipped my head back, so my head was leaning against the wall behind me and looked out the window in front of and watched as the sun continued to rise higher into the sky and as the people of Druvokya began to start their day as well.
'I wonder what I will do today? I could go to the library and read for a while, or I could grab a book and go to the gardens to read...so many choices. I will see what the others are doing and go from there.', I thought to myself. After a few more minutes of just sitting in the now lukewarm water I finally got out and grabbed a towel hanging from the towel rack and began to dry my body and hair before wrapping it around my body and making my way to my bedroom to get dressed. Once I entered my bedroom, I dropped my towel and grabbed my bottle of vanilla smelling lotion from atop my dresser and began rubbing it all over my body, as I finished doing that I walked over to my laid-out clothes and put on my black panties and then put my dress on. I then picked up my used towel and put it in my dirty clothes bin, so that the servants did not have to pick it up themselves and walked back into the bathroom to do my makeup for the day. As I entered the bathroom I walked over to my vanity and sat down in the stool in front of it and pulled out my eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow. I quickly brushed my hair and decided to leave it down for the day before putting on my makeup which consisted of black eyeshadow, black eyeliner and then my mascara. Once that was done, I then brushed my teeth, picked up my sleeping clothes, put those in the dirty clothes bin, and walked over to my bed and put on my heels along with my necklace before walking to my door and leaving my bedroom.

Once I left my bedroom, I began making my way towards the kitchen to grab a quick bite to eat before I made my way to the library to read. As I arrived in the kitchen, I saw many servants making breakfast for everyone, and I made my way towards a table that held some freshly made biscuits, bacon, fruit, and jam for the biscuits. I grabbed a plate and filled it with a biscuit and some jam, some fruit and a couple of pieces of bacon before leaving the kitchen undetected and making my way towards the library. The royal library is exceptionally large as it holds the history of Senetera and the history of Druvokya, it also holds many fiction and non-fiction stories made by famous authors. The library itself was three stories tall with high ceilings and many places to sit.
After a couple of minutes of walking, and sometimes talking with the servants passing by me, I arrived at the royal library and pushed open one of the large doors and closed it behind me before making my way up towards the history section of the library. I placed my plate of food on one of the tables and made my way towards the bookshelves to pick out a story. As I strolled past the shelves, I came across the history of House Targaryen's dragons. I have always had a fascination with dragons and wished that they were still around today. I walked back to the table with my book and sat down and began reading.
"Apollian was the first dragon to be recorded in Targaryen and Valyrian history. This mighty beast was the mount of Aegar Targaryen, the first King of the Valyrian people. Apollian was a great big beast with four limbs, two legs and two wings that could be used for walking. The great dragon possessed two sets of frills on his neck, two along the center of his neck and two along the sides of his neck along with frills on his tail. Apollian also had large ridges of horns that framed the edges of his face that ran along the back of his head and jawline, and he had spikes that ran along his back and tail that helped Aegar secure a saddle to his back. For his coloring Apollian had gold/yellow-colored scales that seemed to shine in the sunlight, he had red horns that ran along his head and jawline along with yellow/gold frills that ran along his neck and tail with spikes as red as his horns. His eyes were a blend of red, gold, orange and yellow that seemed to glow like the sun itself and his fire was gold with shots of red and yellow. Apollian was also the mate of Tiamat who was the mount of Akiva Baraeris who was the wife of Aegar Targaryen. Both Aegar and Apollian went into many battles alongside Akiva and Tiamat, just like their riders Apollian and Tiamat were rarely seen apart, and it is said that Aegar and Apollian were bonded so deeply with each other that when Aegar fell in battle Apollian was seen falling out of the sky letting out a loud roar of anguish and defeat. Apollian's skull resides in the throne room sitting above the royal family's thrones and is said to be watching over every royal Targaryen that sits upon the throne.
The second dragon to be recorded in Targaryen and Valyrian history is Tiamat. This mighty she-dragon was the mount of Akiva Baraeris who was the wife of Aegar Targaryen, the first King of the Valyrian people. Tiamat was a beautiful and fierce she-dragon who dominated in battle was not a dragon to be trifled with. The she-dragon was said to be the most beautiful female dragon there ever was as her scales were a beautiful silver/white color that seemed to glow in the moonlight. She had gray/blue horns that ran along her head and jawline along with white frills that ran along her neck and tail that had spikes the color of her horns. Her eyes were a beautiful dark/light blue color, and her flames were a silver color with shots of white and blue. Many called her the Goddess of the Moon while they called her mate, Apollian, the God of the Sun. Both Akiva and Tiamat were fierce warriors who no one messed with unless they had a death wish, even Aegar and Apollian knew not to make them angry. Tiamat was awfully close with her rider Akiva, and it is said that when Aegar and Apollian died in battle Akiva and Tiamat went on a rampage and sadly fell in battle alongside each other and their mates. It is said that just like Aegar and Apollian, Akiva and Tiamat were so bonded with each other that when one died the other died soon after. Tiamat's skull is in the throne room alongside her beloved Apollian's skull and her's is also mounted above the royal family thrones and is said to watch over whoever sits on the throne."
I continued to read the book for a while, and I was just beginning to read about Aegar IV Targaryen's dragon Ardun when I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I swiftly grabbed the knife I was using to put jam on my biscuits and used my other arm to elbow the unknown assailant in the stomach which caused them to stumble back with a groan and gave me time to stand up and swipe their legs out from under them causing them to fall on the ground loudly. I then straddled them and grabbed both their wrists with my free hand and pinned them above their head while pressing the sharper side of the knife to their throat effectively pinning the unknown assailant to the ground, leaving them at my mercy. I flipped my head back which moved my hair out of my face and allowed me to see who my attacker was, and I gasped quietly when I saw it was my personal guard Byran Ambrose who has been my guard ever since I was a child. I quickly got off him and set the knife back on the table before holding my hand out to him and helping him.
"Damn My Lady, you know how to hit hard.", he said with a groan as he stood up.
"Well, that's thanks to you and my parents. You three trained me to be the best,", I said to him as I walked back to the table. "So, what was it you needed Ser Byran?", I asked him as I finally reached the table and fixed the chair I knocked over in our fight.
"Your parents sent me to get you Princess. They said they wished to speak with you about something.", he replied with a serious tone.
I felt myself begin to worry about what it was they wished to speak to me about. 'What is it that they need to speak to me about? Could something be wrong with one of them? Or is there something wrong with Rhaerys and the others? Is there a problem with the Kingdom that needs addressing? Oh, what could it be?', I thought anxiously as I fiddled with the knife I used earlier. A pair of hands lightly covered my own hands which brought me out of my anxious thinking, and I looked up to see Ser Bryan looking at me with a soft look in his eyes and a comforting smile on his face which helped me calm down a bit.
"I don't think it is anything too serious, My Lady. They seemed relaxed when they asked me to fetch you. They only wish to check up on you Princess.", he told me softly. I nodded my head and put the knife down on my plate and was about to grab my dishes when Ser Byran shook his head and grabbed me by the wrist lightly and began guiding me out of the library.
"Ser Byran, what about my dishes?", I asked as he led me towards my parents' chambers.
He just shook his head and teasingly said, "Let the servants clean them up. Your parents told me to take you to them and that is what I am going to do.". I just sighed softly and allowed him to lead me around.
We arrived at my parent's chambers after a short walk and we stopped in front of the door, Ser Byran let go of my wrist and bowed towards me before walking away, most likely to continue his guard duties. I watched him round the corner before looking at the door in front of me, took a deep breath, raised my hand, and knocked on the door.
"Enter.", I heard a voice say to me, so I opened the door and I saw my parents and my younger sisters all sitting around the room. I closed the door behind me as I fully stepped into the room, and I felt myself become anxious again as I did not know what was happening. I saw that they were all looking at me, so I walked over to an open chair next to my father and sat down next to him.
"What was it you wished to speak about?", I asked my parents anxiously hoping that it was not anything bad. A hand takes my right hand softly, and I looked over to see my father holding my hand. He squeezed it gently to help reassure me, and I squeezed his hand back in thanks.
"It's nothing bad Dōna-prūmia, we merely wished to see how you are doing today, as we haven't seen you at all today. And to spend time with you and your sisters.", answered my mother in a soft and loving tone.
"I bet she was in the library again, reading a book that she got caught up in again.", my youngest sister Maelenya teasingly said. I blushed slightly in embarrassment as I tended to do that sometimes.
"So true sister, but you're one to talk. I remember finding you asleep at a desk in the library reading a book just last week.", said my other sister Rhaerys with a laugh and this caused us all to laugh in amusement for a few moments before settling down.
"So, if you and father wished to spend time with us, what do you suggest we do?", my sister Naenyra asked curiously.
"Well, your father and I have found out that the traveling circus is in town so we can go to that if you wish. I know you four have not been to the circus in a while.", my mother said with a smile.
I felt myself smile in excitement as it has been a while since my sisters, and I have been to the circus. I looked at my sisters to see that they too had looks of excitement on their faces and all four of us looked at each other before nodding our heads in agreement. "Let's do it.", we said unanimously.
At The Circus:
Valyria's POV:
I looked around in awe with my sisters as we walked around the circus with our parents. I looked around at all the food stalls, the stalls with prizes to win, stalls with handcrafted trinkets and jewelry and many more. I also saw a petting zoo with many animals like horses, zebras, camels, giraffes, goats, etc. I was practically buzzing with excitement, and I felt like a little kid once again. I noticed a stall that sold candy, so I dragged my sisters over to it with me and we ordered some large lollipops. We paid the man behind the stall and walked back over to our parents and continued to walk around the circus. As we walked around, I noticed that people would stop and stare at us in awe or excitement and thankfully I was used to that, what with being royalty and all. We made our way to the petting zoo, and I knew that Maelenya was going to have a blast because of her extreme love for animals. Our parents wandered over to a corral holding some beautiful horses while my sisters and I made our way over to a corral holding some zebras. As we fed and pet the zebras, I noticed out of the corner of my right eye that a little girl around 7 years old with light blonde hair wearing a blue dress with polka dots was sitting on a box with tears rolling down her face. Feeling concerned for the girl I quickly made my way over to her and once I was in front of her, I crouched so I was at her height.
"Are you alright Byka mēre?", I asked her softly. At my voice, her head snapped up, and she wiped away her tears and stared at me with awe in her slightly red eyes. I smiled and waited patiently for her to answer me. After a moment of silence, my question finally registered in her mind, and tears again entered her eyes, and she shook her head negatively.
"I'm lost, I can't find my mommy or my daddy. I wandered off to look at the animals even though mommy told me not to! I did not mean to, but I just wanted to see the animals so badly!", she said with a sob as she began to cry once more. I quickly set my lollipop on a box next to her and then grabbed her under her arms and brought her close to my chest and began to shush her softly as my sisterly instincts kicked in. I stood up once she wrapped her arms around my neck and supported her with my left arm resting under her legs while my right hand rubbed soothing circles on her back to help calm her down.
After a few minutes of her crying and me soothing her, she finally stopped. She pulled away from my neck with a mumbled apology, but I just smiled and waited for her to stop wiping her tears away. Once she was finished, I cleared my throat softly to get her attention, "Why don't we get you something to eat and drink Byka mēre? You must be hungry and thirsty.", I said to her with a smile. She nodded her head slightly and laid her head on my shoulder and kept her arms wrapped around my neck. With that answer I made my way back to my sisters with my arms full of a little girl and my lollipop forgotten.
Once I arrived back at where my sisters are I cleared my throat to get their attention and as they turned to face me, I saw their faces filled with confusion. I just smiled at them, "We have a new addition to the group of guys. This is...um what is your name Dōna-prūmia?", I asked sheepishly as I just now realized that I did not know her name.
"Katelyn.", she answered shyly as she buried her head further into my neck.
"Katelyn. Guys this is Katelyn, and she needs our help in finding her mommy and daddy. She wandered off to see the animals and now she cannot find them.", I explained to them. They all instantly gained a look of understanding on their faces as they nodded in agreement to help look for her parents.
"Do you remember what your parents are wearing dear? What they look like as well?", Rhaerys asked Katelyn as she and my other sisters stepped closer to us.
"Um, mommy has pretty blonde hair and blue eyes and daddy has light brown hair with brown eyes. Mommy is wearing a white summer dress with sandals while daddy is wearing blue pants and a white shirt with boots on. That is all I remember.", Katelyn answered with a small sigh.
I nodded my head in thanks before setting out with my sisters to begin looking for Katelyn's parents. We wandered around the circus for a while looking for her parents and as we did this my sisters and I would wander over to the candy stalls and game stalls to help cheer Katelyn up. We bought her a candied sucker for her suck on and we also went over to a game stall that had you throw a few balls at stacks of cups, and you only get one throw for each ball you are given. Katelyn ended up knocking down 8/10 stacks of cups and won a large stuffed bear. At this point I was carrying the teddy bear with my left arm while Katelyn held onto my right hand with her own while sucking on her sucker.
After wandering around for a couple of hours and watching everyone around us having a wonderful time we came to a stop in front of the petting zoo once more. As we came to a stop, I looked around to see if I could spot anyone matching the description of Katelyn's parents. I did this for a few minutes as my sisters kept Katelyn distracted and I was about to give up and go over to my sisters and Katelyn when I suddenly heard muffled voices shouting coming from the crowd around us. I perked up and listened closely to see if I could pinpoint where the voices were coming from, and my sisters heard the voices as well as they appeared at my side along with Katelyn.
Suddenly through the crowd I spotted a couple desperately looking through the crowd while shouting something. As I looked closer, I noticed that the couple consisted of a man and a woman. The woman had beautiful light blonde hair that seemed to shine in the bright afternoon sun along with beautiful blue eyes that were shining with concern and fear while wearing a beautiful white summer dress along with sandals. The man had thick light brown hair with brown eyes that were also shining with concern and fear while wearing blue plants, a white shirt, and boots. I then realized that the two people that I was looking at were Katelyn's parents!
"Mommy! Daddy!", I heard Katelyn cry out. This caused both their heads to turn towards us with shock before rushing over to us shouting Katelyn's name, and Katelyn ran towards them to meet them halfway.
Once they reached each other Katelyn's father scooped her up into his arms and held her close to his chest while her mother rubbed her back soothingly as Katelyn began to cry in relief as she reunited with her parents. I stood back along with my sisters and watched with a smile on my face and when I looked over at my sisters, I saw that they too were smiling at the happy scene in front of us. I walked over towards them, which caused them to look towards me, and motioned for us to leave to give Katelyn and her parents privacy.
"Wait!", a voice shouted as we were walking away. I turned my head to see Katelyn rushing towards us with her parents following behind her with concerned looks on their faces.
Once Katelyn reached us, she latched herself onto my right leg and looked up at me with a sad expression on her face that made my heart ache. "You can't go!", she exclaimed loudly while tightening her grip on my leg.
"We have too Byka mēre. We must get back to our parents and our duties.", I told her sadly, but this just caused her to begin to cry softly.
"Katelyn. Let the princesses get back to their duties. I am so sorry for any trouble she may have caused Your Majesties.", apologized Katelyn's mother.
"She was no trouble at all, we were happy to help.", replied Rhaerys.
"I know that you don't want us to go but we have to Katelyn.", I said softly.
"But what if I get lost again? What if no one will help me find mommy and daddy?", she questioned me with a sob. I crouched so that I was about her height and used my thumbs to wipe away her tears and then stroked her cheeks softly to help calm her down.
"Then you ask one of the city guards to help you find them or ask them to fetch us straight away and we will help you find them.", I told her strongly.
"What if they won't let you help me?", she asked meekly.
"Oh, don't worry they will. You tell them that we helped you before and they will fetch one of us or all of us to help you.", I replied sternly.
"You promise?", she asks.
"We promise.", my sisters and I replied strongly.
With that, she nods her head, let's go of my legs, and returns to her parents and has her father pick her up. We smiled at Katelyn and her parents before walking away to find our parents and tell them about what happened.
"I can't wait to tell mother and father about this.", Maelenya said excitedly.
"Me either. We could invite Katelyn and her parents to dinner sometime. I would love to spend more time with her.", suggested Naenyra.
"Perhaps. What do you think Val?", Rhaerys asked me.
"Perhaps. We will have to see what mother and father say...but we could hold our own secret dinner with them if they say no.", I replied thoughtfully with a hint of mischievousness. This caused all four of us to laugh loudly in amusement. As we laughed, I knew that I would not trade this moment for anything in the world.
'No... I would not trade this for anything in the world.', I thought to myself with a smile.

The King and The Dragoness: Prologue
"Normal Speech"
'Thoughts/Thinking'
"Angry/Yelling"
Third Person POV:
It is a beautiful day on the planet known as Senetera, the sky is a beautiful blue with no clouds in the sky, the sun is shining brightly down on the kingdom known as Druvokya which houses a people known as the Valyrians. The Valyrians are a special race because they can use magic, bond with dragons, and have a much longer lifespan than humans do. The Valyrians may have the bodies of regular humans, but their appearance sets them apart from regular humans as they are famous for having white to silver-gold hair to blonde hair along with having lilac to deep purple/violet eyes to pinkish eyes to pale blue eyes. Many have referred to the Valyrians as an ethereal or beautiful race because of their fair skin and beautiful looks. The Valyrian people are categorized by their different houses with some being more powerful and wealthier than the others. Originally the Valyrian people were ruled by one single house while the others bent the knee to said house and swore allegiance to them. The ruling house was House Targaryen but eventually the power was split between the 60 different dragonlord houses as many began to believe that House Targaryen was too powerful. House Targaryen remained the number one most powerful and wealthiest dragonlord family there was but many years later a bunch of lower classed dragonlord families started a revolt against the higher classed dragonlord families and they enlisted the help of some powerful houses from across the sea. The revolt was quickly squashed and once again House Targaryen became the rulers of not only the Valyrian people but also the rest of the people of Senetera. Once the revolt was over no one dared to question or go against the Targaryen rule and the Valyrian houses that started the revolt were wiped out along with their allies to make sure that no one from said houses would dare and try to revolt again. Due to no one questioning the Targaryen rule a longer lasting peace began and many technological advancements were being made, like plumbing, electricity and even attempts at space travel, though this was only to be used by the royal family. Due to these technological advancements the Valyrian people stopped hatching dragons as they no longer needed them. The royal couple at the time made the decree that no weapons of mass destruction were to be made with the technology in case said weapons fell into the wrong hands.
Back to the story, it is a beautiful day on Senetera and the Valyrian people of Druvokya are making the most of it by shopping in the markets, going to the park, children laughing and playing and just having a fun time. While everyone is having an enjoyable time in the city below, up in the royal castle a beautiful Valyrian woman with silver-gold hair with beautiful violet-colored eyes with hints of lilac in them is currently in the royal chambers reading a book while lying in the grand bed. This beautiful woman is Valerys Vaelitheos-Targaryen, and she is the Queen of Senetera and is the wife of Rhaegon Targaryen who is the King of Senetera and right now Queen Valerys is heavily pregnant with their first child that is ready to come any time now. The King and Queen have been married for about 34 years when Valerys was 17 and Rhaegon was 18. Valerys and Rhaegon have known each other since they were toddlers and have always had a special connection, they work well together and so when Rhaegon asked for Valerys's hand in marriage she accepted immediately. There was a grand party thrown for the new royal couple and everyone in the kingdom celebrated happily as they all expected this marriage to happen. Rhaegon and Valerys became King and Queen of Senetera soon after their wedding as Rhaegon's parents wished to retire from their duties as they have ruled for many, many years and both Rhaegon and Valerys were more than happy to step in and become King and Queen. And now Queen Valerys has been sentenced to bed rest by both her husband and the healers as the baby is due any time now. A sigh came from Valerys as she marked the page she was on and shut the book before placing it on her nightstand and then slowly got up and walked towards the open window that looked down on the kingdom.
Valerys stared down at the kingdom with a soft, but contemplative look on her face. 'Everything looks fine from up here; I just wish my husband would let me go down there. I am pregnant, not incapacitated.', the pregnant Queen thought stubbornly. She was brought out of her thoughts when a knock sounded throughout the room before the sound of a door opening was heard as well. Valerys turned around to see her most loyal servant Rosie entering the room. Rosie is a petite woman that is 40 years old with flawless and beautiful tan skin with black hair and hazel eyes. She was sent by a loyal house from across the sea as a gift to the new King and Queen of Senetera and immediately Valerys and Rosie connected and formed a sisterly bond with one another with Rosie becoming the Queen's most trusted servant and confidant besides her husband. Only the King and Queen know this, but Rosie has Valyrian heritage and the reason she does not look like a Valyrian is because she takes after her mother, and she never met her father because he was killed before she was born but from what her mother told her before she passed was that he was not the nicest man in the world and that she is glad that Rosie did not meet him. Rosie inherited some magic from her father and his longer life span, but she is proud that she takes after her mother in looks and attitude.
"Hello Rosie, what is it you need?", asked Valerys with a smile aimed at Rosie.
"Nothing, My Queen. I just came to check up on you and the little one.", replied Rosie softly. Valerys smiled even more at Rosie before making her way over to Rosie slowly.
'What did I do to deserve such a faithful and loyal friend?', thought Valerys as she finally came to a stop in front of Rosie.
"I am alright Rosie, though I have been feeling tired today and I have been having horrible cramps throughout the day. They seem to come and go whenever. I am also feeling a bit cooped up in here, honestly, I just wish my husband would let me go outside for a bit. I am pregnant not incapacitated.", the Queen ranted with a huff.
Rosie chuckled softly and approached the Queen and helped her sit down on the edge of the bed before sitting down next to her. "You know the King means well, he is just worried for yours and the little one's safety is all. I remember when you first told him you were pregnant, My Queen. Hahaha, his face was priceless. He stared at you frozen for a minute before fainting on the spot.", Rosie said with a giggle.
"Hahaha, I remember as well. I just rolled my eyes in exasperation before getting up and walking away with you after telling the healers to move my husband to the bed and to tell him that I was out baby shopping with you when he woke up. I still have not let him live it down yet.", replied Valerys with a laugh.
Both Valerys and Rosie laughed together for a good minute before finally settling down and relaxing. Rosie then looked at her Queen and began to observe her. Valerys looked how she always did, beautiful and stunning with her hair done up beautifully with braids and with a slight amount of makeup on her face and to anyone else she would look like normal but to Rosie the Queen looked tired and troubled. Rosie had a good idea about what was troubling her Queen and was just waiting for her Queen to come to her and tell her. Rosie came out of her thoughts when she heard Valerys say something to her.
"I'm sorry, My Queen. What did you say?", Rosie sheepishly asked.
"I asked if you were alright my friend.", Valerys said with a chuckle.
Rosie sighed softly, "I am fine, My Queen. I just noticed that you seem troubled by something and am just wondering what is troubling you.", she said softly.
The Queen looked away from Rosie and seemed to age years before her very eyes. This caused Rosie to become concerned for her Queen and friend as whatever is troubling the Queen seemed serious. Valerys then looked back at Rosie with a sad and concerned look on her face. "I have been having...strange dreams lately. I see our kingdom, our home, in flames and being destroyed. I hear the screams of our people as they are being slaughtered. I see blurry faces passing before my eyes and I hear the evilest laugh I have ever heard in my life. I do not know why I am having these dreams, but I feel as if something bad is going to happen. I do not know when, but I just feel like it will happen.", the troubled Queen admitted to Rosie as tears began to leak from her eyes. Rosie quickly hugged the Queen and began to shush her and stroke her back to help calm her down. Valerys then began to sob softly into her friend's shoulder as she finally let out all her stress and worry that she had been holding in. After a few minutes of Rosie just holding and comforting the sobbing Queen Valerys finally pulled away and began to dry her eyes.
"I am sorry Rosie, I didn't mean to cry all over you and ruin your dress.", apologized Valerys sadly.
"There is no need to apologize, My Queen. I am always here if you need a shoulder to cry on, it is my duty as a servant and as your friend to be here for you when you need me.", Rosie told her comfortingly. Valerys nodded her head, grabbed a tissue, wet it with water, and began to wipe her face clean. Suddenly, the Queen froze, and her eyes widened with shock and surprise.
"What is it? My Queen, what is wrong?", Rosie asked frantically.
"It's time.... the baby's coming.", the Queen said breathlessly. It was then that Rosie noticed the puddle forming on the sheets under the Queen. She then quickly rushed to the door and told the guards to fetch the midwives and the King and tell them that the baby was coming. Once that was taken care of, she then rushed back to the Queen and quickly helped her change into a loose-fitting robe that was lightweight. She then helped the Queen up to her feet and began to help her walk around the room to help speed up her labor. As they walked around the Queen would pause as they were walking and let out a groan and grip Rosie's hand harder whenever another contraction hit her. They had been walking around the room for about 10 minutes when the door burst open and a man standing at about 6 feet tall was standing in the doorway. The man had silver hair with violet eyes with hints of lilac and pink in them and he had a strong and lethal body from all the training he did. This man is Rhaegon Targaryen, husband to Valerys and the King of Senetera. Rhaegon rushed over to his wife and took over Rosie's job of holding her hand and helping her walk around the room.
"I am here Issa jorrāelagon, I came as quickly as I could.", Rhaegon softly said to his wife. She just gave him a tired smile as sweat rolled down her forehead, and they began walking around the room again. When Valerys finally got tired, Rhaegon steered her to the bed, helped her lie down on it before grabbing a damp cloth and wiped the sweat off her forehead and brow. Rosie quickly made her way to Valerys's side and had her drink from a cup that held cold water in it to help keep her hydrated. After about 5 minutes of Valerys resting a midwife approached her and checked her progress before having her get up and start walking again.
The process of Valerys walking and resting and then walking again repeated itself for several hours until an intense feeling ripped through Valerys's belly and an intense need to push happened inside her. Rhaegon quickly helped Valerys back to the bed and quickly stripped himself of his coat, armor and sword and settled himself behind Valerys at the midwife's instructions. Valerys sat between Rhaegon's spread legs and put her hands on his knees and settled back against his chest while trying to steady her breathing so she was not hyperventilating. Rosie then appeared next to the royal couple and began to wipe away the sweat that accumulated on the Queen's forehead and brow.
One of the midwives appeared in front of Valerys and looked between her legs. "Alright Your Grace, you're ready. I need you to push as hard as you can My Lady.", she ordered strongly.
Valerys took a deep breath and screamed loudly while her hands gripped Rhaegon's knees tightly as her nails dug into his skin. She felt as if her body was being split apart, the pressure between her legs was growing as she felt like she had an exceptionally large melon or pumpkin stuck inside her. She leaned forward, took a deep breath, and waited.
"There you go My Lady; your body is telling you what you need to do. All you must do is listen to it.", one of the midwives told her comfortingly.
Valerys took another deep breath and held it while she braced herself against Rhaegon's body and let his strength support her. She dug her nails deeper into his skin, breaking it slightly, and spread her legs wider. Her heart was beating rapidly as her lungs burned with the need to let out her breath, but she did as the midwives instructed and held it in and listened to what her body was telling her to do. All her muscles in her body were tensed up, waiting for the right moment.
"There you go Your Grace, keep going!", exclaimed a midwife.
Valerys then felt a kiss on the top of her head and then heard Rhaegon speaking to her. "Come on, Issa jorrāelagon. I know you can do it. You are almost there Valerys, I know you can do it.", he told her confidently.
Valerys was on the very edge, her heart was beating rapidly, her lungs burned with the need to take a new breath but still she held her position and waited for the right moment to let everything go.
'Now!', she shouted in her mind.
Valerys then let out a tremendous scream and pushed as hard as she could. Something wet and slimy rushed out of her body and the pressure between her legs loosened slightly before something more extensive lodged itself between her pelvis. A midwife then leaned between Valerys's legs and twisted something causing Valerys to scream once again and push even harder. Finally, she felt something slippery slide out of her body and immediate relief entered her mind and body. It was over, it was finally over. Just as the Queen was catching her breath, she heard the most beautiful sound in the world; the cries of her newborn baby.
"It's a healthy baby girl My Lady.", said the midwife holding her daughter.
"A daughter, we have a daughter, my dearest love. I am so proud of you, My Queen.", Rhaegon told her lovingly. He then carefully lowered her to the bed after getting out from behind her and then made his way over to the midwife and cut the umbilical cord that connects mother and daughter. He then cradled his daughter to his chest and began to shush her softly to help quieten her cries. Valerys looked up to see that he had the most loving smile on his face as he stared at their beautiful daughter. A midwife then approached Rhaegon and took the baby from him to clean her up. She was then wrapped in a soft and fluffy baby blanket and was given back to Rhaegon.
Rhaegon then approached Valerys and sat down next to her to show her their beautiful daughter. Valerys propped herself up against the headboard with some pillows with the help of Rosie and she stared at her daughter lovingly as she softly caressed her head with her thumb. The new parents just sat there on the bed together staring at their beautiful newborn daughter.
Rhaegon then broke the peaceful silence asking, "What shall we name her Issa jorrāelagon?".
Valerys stared at her daughter for a moment and was about to answer when she heard the midwives gossiping as they cleaned up. Wanting to know what they were chatting about she asked them, "What are you all gossiping about over there?". They all turned to her with surprised expressions before turning sheepish and looked hesitant to answer her. Just as she was about to order them to answer her, a young-looking midwife stepped forward.
"We were just discussing some information we heard during our duties today, Your Grace.", she answered softly.
Seeing the young woman's fear and apprehension on her face Valerys softened her expression and voice asking, "And what information is that young one? I promise that none of you are in trouble".
After seeing her Queen's soft expression and now knowing that she was not in trouble the young midwife answered. "Earlier today we all had just got done doing some laundry and as we were walking through the halls one of the Lords walked by with a couple of his guards and said that they had just successfully hatched a dragon.", she said in awe.
This shocked Valerys and she turned her head towards her husband asking, "Did you know about this?".
He just shook his head as he too was shocked. "I had no idea about this, My Queen. Do you know which Lord this was?", he asked the young midwife curiously.
"It was Lord Jaehaenar Maentalor, My King.", she answered honestly.
At his name's mention, Valerys and Rhaegon adopted scowls on their faces. This specific Lord is always causing trouble for the royal couple and always trying to make moves on Valerys. No one in the kingdom really likes him because of his slimy ways, he is known to lie and be deceitful and is always trying to find ways to get the upper hand against Rhaegon as Jaehaenar wishes to become king thinking he can do a better job. So, for Jaehaenar to try and hatch a dragon meant that he was going to use it against Rhaegon, which would be unbelievably bad.
"I see, thank you for this information. You all may go now, and you all have the rest of the evening off. Thank you for all your help.", the King said to them and with a bow they all left.
After the door shut Rhaegon took a deep breath and shook his head. "What am I going to do with Jaehaenar? He does not even know how to properly take care of a dragon, no one does anymore. The hatchling likely will not survive even 24 hours.", Rhaegon said in frustration.
This caused Valerys to give him a sympathetic look and took his hand in hers, careful of their daughter he was holding, and squeezed it gently which brought his attention to her. "I know you are frustrated and angry my dear but for now why don't we just concentrate on our newborn daughter who we have yet to name.", she said lovingly. Rhaegon nodded his head and kept his wife's hand in his own to hold onto while looking at his daughter.
"How about Daenella?", asked Rhaegon.
"Hmmm, no. Does not seem right for her.", said Valerys.
"Rhaerys?"
"Not quite."
"Visella?"
"No."
"Shaella?"
"Nope."
Both the King and Queen went back and forth between name suggestions for about 5 minutes before huffing in frustration and falling silent. Rosie, who had stood off to the side deep in thought, approached the couple and cleared her throat. This caught the couple's attention, and both smiled at her kindly and waved her closer. "What are you doing over there Rosie? Come closer and meet our daughter.", Valerys said excitedly. Rosie did as asked and came closer to look at the child and smiled at seeing the baby sleeping soundly without a care in the world.
"I might have a name suggestion for the young princess.", she said with slight nervousness knowing that naming children was strictly for the parents.
Noticing Rosie's nervousness Valerys gave her a soft and bright smile and dropped Rhaegon's hand to take a hold of Rosie's hand to squeeze it reassuringly. "You are a part of our family Rosie; you have a right to help us pick out names for our daughter. Isn't that right my love?", she said as she looked at Rhaegon who nodded his head in agreement.
"That's right Rosie. You have been there for my wife and me, and we consider you family. So please, tell us the name you have in mind.", he said kindly.
"Well, how about Valyria Dragonborn Vaelitheos-Targaryen? The name Valyria means 'strength' and I just know that when the time comes this baby will be a strong and just Queen. And I chose 'Dragonborn' as a nickname or something because a dragon hatched on her birth and gives her an even stronger name. And I combined both of your house names since she is heir to both.", Rosie explained to them.
Both Rhaegon and Valerys looked at their best friend, sister really, in love and awe at the amount of thought and time she put into helping name their daughter. Both parents looked at each other with a smile before turning back to Rosie with a smile. "We love it.", they said together.
"Then I now pronounce; Valyria Dragonborn of Houses Vaelitheos and Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Princess of Senetera, Daughter of King Rhaegon and Queen Valerys, the Future Queen of Senetera!", exclaimed Rosie proudly and this caused both King and Queen to cheer loudly while their daughter finally opened her eyes to show beautiful violet eyes with lilac and hints of pink in them. She let out a giggle and reached up towards everyone with a smile.
Valerys looked down at her daughter with a smile while in the background Rhaegon and Rosie continued talking with each other excitedly but no matter how happy and excited she is now that her daughter has arrived into the world she cannot shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen whether it is soon or in the future she just cannot shake the feeling of dread in her. And she has no idea how right she is about this feeling because their world will change forever...
