Passive sitting is okay as long as your head is neutral & the backrest contours to the natural curves of your spine. The lower back support prevents your pelvis from rotating posteriorly Your legs and torso form approx. a 135 degree angle & your legs are either supported or resting on the ground at a 90 degree angle.
