Hate to sound judgmental but I also grew up with the books and when I got to be a teenager I realized damn. These are full of some extremely racist stuff and jkr is not a good person and I stopped interacting entirely. One of my fondest memories is of going to Harry Potter world at universal when I was 7, and ya know what? I care more about the real life trans people whom she affects than a series packed with racism. Rereading and rewatching dvds with no other interaction is better then being a big supporter obviously and You can do whatever you want forever no one’s gonna stop you but I can’t support you in it.
