So, update on the asshole who got himself killed by deliberately trespassing on Sentinel Island…  He was not a missionary, but a travel blogger masquerading as a missionary to gain access and treat the Sentinelese as a zoo exhibit (whilst exposing them to germs, and encouraging other intruders). 

Again: It is illegal for outside people to barge onto Sentinel Island (borders: they kinda work that way. And a lot of white Americans seem real excited about ‘protecting the border’ with deadly force. Just saying.)

The last outsiders to arrive kidnapped a bunch of Sentinelese people and also introduced deadly diseases, so they have more than enough reasons to use force to fend off invasion. 

This asshole was warned multiple time not to go there. 

He was going for some extreme travel adventure blog, which is the epitome of colonizer nonsense: disrespecting indigenous sovereignty, endangering indigenous lives, and treating indigenous people like a zoo exhibit, all so he could make a quick buck.

I was convinced that I might be pregnant for about 12 hours yesterday. We aren’t avidly trying yet. We’re just taking it easy, not stressing it. But yesterday my boobs were burning. I was so nauseous I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t contain my inner bitch. I was just so sure that I was pregnant. Until I started feeling pressure down south, that’s when I knew it was all an illusion. Got my period this morning a whole week early. I’m not too disappointed. I feel like Gods timing is the best timing. But I wish I didn’t get pregnancy symptoms leading up to my period, because that’s just cruel.

My heart yearns for a baby every time my daughter sees one in public and her eyes light up. Every time my husband rubs my belly. Every time I see a newborn or a pregnancy announcement. I just say in faith that my turn is coming soon. It’s little things like seeing my husband hand in hand with our daughter that make my existence light up and just want to give them another baby.

So I’m asking you, God. While I believe in your perfect timing I just really, really hope it’s soon.

I am incredibly proud of my daughter.

We have been potty training at her pace for the past week and we’re down to only using one pull up a day, to bed. Which she wouldn’t need if we didn’t wake up at the butt crack of dawn to an hour long commute.

I didn’t think she’d get this far this soon.

Funny thing is that accidents don’t bother me.

I’m always proud no matter what.

I love my girl.

Yet when the going gets tough I still seem to crave it.

My husband was sent over the road AGAIN tonight, after being home for like 5 days. He worked 3 out of 5! It’s so hard being alone with a toddler all day. All night. In pain. No help.

I’m just tired of being strong.

So tired.

So weak.

Fighting the urge to self harm HARD tonight. Here’s to knowing that the sun will shine tomorrow.
